Day 40 or so of my reviews being filtered. Wonder how long it will take the mighty algorithm to knock this one out? Oh well, I’m going to keep writing. Sometimes in life you need to take a chance. Wanted to try a new all you can eat sushi place and my cousin was craving it like a man on a mission, so after doing some research with decided to give this place a shot. I kind of felt bad. It was a Saturday late afternoon. This is the prime time of the week for any restaurant and there might have been 5 other people in the place besides us. Normally not a good sign. Well, the good news was that the service was fast because there really wasn’t anyone here! It felt a little odd as the servers were just kinda hanging around watching as they really had nothing else to do. The sushi isn’t bad. Not the greatest sushi, but not the worst I’ve had by a long shot. It also came out really quick after ordering, but again, this place was nearly dead. I didn’t even feel comfortable talking loud. Still, it’s not a bad place. The menu’s were kinda stinky and old, but the sushi wasn’t bad like I had anticipated. Overall, would give it 31⁄2 stars, but I’ll bump it up a little out pity. Poor place.

This is nothing like the Sushi Factory in Blossom Hill which is amazing. This place may have been getting by on its coat tails however this is one of the worst sushi experiences I have ever had. When you go in to sit down you start to worry why you are the second table in the restaurant during a time where it should be full. If you order all you can eat be warned the portions are massive but that’s the point. If you don’t finish it all they charge you. And there is no sharing. So they watch you like a hawk to see if you can eat it all. It starts to get awkward and uncomfortable having all the employees watching me eat. However the sushi taste so bad its hard to eat it even knowing you will be penalized if you don’t. Well jokes on you Sushi Factory I found a escape to your master plan of serving me large portions of cheap farthest from fresh sushi and then trying to charge me if i don’t finish it. I fill my mouth like a chipmunk and excused myself to the restaurant and spit that crap in the trash where it belongs. BAHAHAHA

So we came on a whim and left extremely full. We ordered the special which was the slight grilled but raw fish and it was d lish! Tasted like meat and it felt guilty :) … Unfortunately we didn’t try the unlimited due to the limited time we had but ordered 3 rolls which was so so! Don’t get me wrong though, we are the whole thing split in two so it was still eatable despite the presentation being poor. Too bad I don’t live close or I would’ve tried their all you can eat.

I’ve read the reviews on Unilocal, and it isn’t a bad place. Their restaurant remodel makes the place feel welcomed. My friends and I ordered the lion king roll, white tuna roll, Helen’s special rolls, and tempura udon. It was all good! There were no bugs like the other reviews said. The prices were fairly decent.

I would give it 3 stars for the food, but what really set it over for me was the service. We sat at the bar, and had the ayce and the sushi chef was extremely friendly and constantly kept an eye on us to make sure we got what we wanted. My glass was never empty, and I didn’t have to flag down a waiter, as they were always there to help clear the dishes. There was only one lady who was a little annoying to deal with as she kept giving us attitude. Other than that, the service was great. They gave us seaweed salad on the house, along with green tea icecream for dessert. The sushi were quite tasty, and since I’m not a seasoned sushi eater, i thought they were good. They also had plenty of appetizers, like this amazing crystal shrimp, edamame, and miso soup. I also ordered sex on the mountain roll, and i wanted the scallops to be cooked so they actually put the extra effort in cooking the scallops with a blowtorch for me. I was extremely satisfied for that. The only thing that made me a little sad was how much it costed. $ 60 dollars total for ayce for two people dinner, excluding tip. $ 26 a person. But i would come back again for sure!

Worst. Dining. Experience. EVER! Good news for the bug population, this place allows a crap load of gnats(dead and alive) to wander around. We got seated by the windowsill and OMG it was infested with fruit flies. We requested to be sat elsewhere but that didn’t help us escape the gnats. There was one in my water. and when they served us our sushi, I literally just watched the gnats land into our food. And to top it off, there was a hair in one of our rolls. The server said she could replace that ONE piece of the roll that had hair in it. WHAT?! I mean I understand you can’t expect fine dining experience at an Asian joint, but really?! Just that ONE piece! Thank goodness for an in&out down the street, that’s where we ended up.

Sushi and AYCE is mediocre. Prices are not bad. The only reason I am giving two stars is simply for the fact that there is just too big of an infestation of flies on the windowsill. There are both dead and alive little fruit flies everywhere. For a restaurant, that is completely unacceptable in my book. It is both disgusting as well as a violation of the health code. Experienced a fly landing on my sushi roll and refused to eat it. It was a one hit wonder in which I don’t think I will return.

We decided to try this place using a $ 25 certificate. The Medium Sashimi Boat had very good fresh fish. The Miso soup and green tea were below average. The atmosphere is nothing special. We probably won’t come back here if we have to pay full price. There are many better Japanese restaurants in the area.

After grocery shopping with my friend at Ranch 99, she really wanted sushi for an afternoon snack. As we all know, not many Japanese restaurants opens at 3PM on a Saturday. Most restaurants opens at 5PM at the earliest. She pointed across the plaza at Sushi Factory and wanted to check it out since it’s opened and in walking distance. The sushi rolls presentation was decent, but the food was not. I gave it 2 stars for the food and the service. The 2-star indicator provided by Unilocal described as «Meh. I’ve experienced better.» That is exactly how I felt after my Sushi Factory experience. The service was surprisingly slow despite it being pretty empty… I will not go here again.

This place is an absolute joke. The only selling point is the reasonably priced AYCE sushi. I can’t imagine why anyone would come back. Coming in, there were 4 people ahead of us, so we(party of 6) figured a 15 – 20 minute wait. Considering it’s Friday and lunch rush, we didn’t mind. What we did mind is the part where our only option for seating was a big table that could fit 10 in the back by the bathrooms or the sushi bar. There was also a large table in the adjoining room that apparently is there stationing table. Such a waste of space! The people at the 10 table were obviously still eating and the hostess kept telling us 10 minutes, 10 minutes, 10 minutes. After 30 minutes of waiting, we should have left. When we did get seated(not at the 10 table mind you… they pushed some tables together), we waited another 15 minutes for a server to take our order. Our server apologized for the wait time and offered us a 10% discount which we were very happy for, but when I mentioned the $ 25 certificate I had, she immediately said ‘no no no no, only one discount at a time’. Are you for real?! My coworker asked if we could have a voucher for the next time we came to have 10% off and the woman said no, but to ‘find her and I’ll remember you’. We asked for her name and she said ’ no no no if I tell you, you will tell my boss and I will get in trouble’. SERIOUSLY?!! We’d stood there waiting for a table so long, we all knew what we wanted. One other person and I got the AYCE and the rest got bento boxes. I won’t speak for the bento boxes, but the AYCE is GARBAGE. The Tuna HAD to be frozen this morning. There was something akin to freezer burn on it. My gripe about sushi restaurants that seems ever consistent nowadays — STOPPUTTINGSWEETSLIMYSAUCEONTHESUSHI. Should have dropped my chopsticks and walked out. I was starving and was damn well going to get my money’s worth. The rest of our group had to go back to work, so it was just us AYCE people. Know that we arrived at 12:10pm. They left at 1:45pm and only because they rushed and ate their food in 15 minutes. Do the math. It took another 10 minutes after they left and a reminder to our server about our Round 3 before we got the last set. DONOTEVEREVEREVEREVEREVER order their Salmon skin hand roll. I took one bite and spit it out. Please please please believe I NEVER spit out food at a restaurant. I think it’s disgusting and rude, but I couldn’t. I would rather eat a live african spider than that handroll. We paid. We left. And we are never coming back.

I shouldve known and walked away. Buuut smart me. bought the deal 25 dollar certificate but you have to spend in all 50. That didnt stop me from buying it. I shouldve checked Unilocal for the reviews first. Came here and the food is mediocre for sushi! None of the sushi is fresh at all! They all have a funky old fish taste. still I kept on thinking to myself. I got a good deal. After ordering the kids some ice cream for dessert. I asked for the bill. I have read the terms on the certificate before I came and it never said anything about spending 60 or more. I didnt wanna order anything else cause the food wasnt even that great. soo I was forced to buy more togo things because I was under the 60 mark which I NEVER seen on the certificate. I shouldve known.

I have to say that as with other buffet places, you probably only want to get their all-you-ca-eat option if you can eat at least 3 rolls by yourself. Smaller stomach, stick with ala carte… I came with 5 other people with stomach. 6 of us placed about 30 orders. so if we averaged it out… it was like $ 4/order. not bad! Anyway… the sushi itself. I have to say that I’m giving them a 5 stars for pleasant service. We were the only table in the restaurant and stick around for a good 2 – 3 hours. we just chit-chat for a long time. The restaurant was surprisingly EMPTY on a saturday afternoon(we arrived around 1PM and probably there were only two or three other tables… at the end we were the only table in the restaurant. The sushi orders came out very quickly and the servers were all very friendly in taking orders, refilling drinks and most importantly allowing us to hang out! Some of our favorite sushi rolls that day were the tropical something something roll that has mango slices on it, so so so refreshing and delicious. Another favorite was the sex on the mountain featuring spicy scallops on top of the mountain looking sushi roll. Pretty descent sushi rolls for what you pay. $ 23.95 for weekend lunch price and we also bought $ 25 gift certificate from for $ 10. Pass on ordering the soju/sake. they are overpriced. so. why only 3 stars? it’s a buffet quality sushi… although certainly good deal. but not the best sushi around of course. You get what you pay for.

I’ve been to a number of all you can eat sushi places before and I am a big fan. The upside, or course, is the all you can eat part. The downside is that you normally have a limited selection, the cuts typically are more rice than fish, and you have to wade through some questionable offerings to get the better prepared stuff. No such trade off here. Sushi Factory is a classic Japanese sushi restaurant complete with a bar and a la carte offerings. Selections are made to order and just about everything on the menu — appetizers, rolls, sushi and sashimi are all in play. I stuffed myself with hi quality offerings all for under $ 30. Throw in a beer and tip, i still walked out at under $ 40 — a much better experience than its ACYE competitors.

#152. We all ordered noodle soup and soft shell crab for everyone to share. The veggies had a bad aftertaste, there was no flavor in the soup, and the udon could’ve passed for being instant noodles. The servers only came by to take our order and give us the food/bill. Pretty much MIA during the whole time we were there. At least we had a Groupon. But bad food and bad service? I would think twice about coming here again.

I came here today. I didn’t read the Unilocal reviews. I paid for it. The bbq beef combo was weak and had stringy fatty meat. Meh. Comes with six pieces of bbq beef, scoop of rice and miso soup. The flavour was decent, but the presentation was cut rate. The rice was ok. Barely. $ 8.95 My friend was eating hugely; he was doing the AYCE Lunch Special, just $ 22.50, the sashimi looked great, from the pieces to the open funnel roll, it looked great, he said they were tastey. Maybe I ordered wrong. Service: slow but gracious. Décor: clean and ok.

If I had to describe Sushi Factory in one word, it would be «stingy». Fortunately, I could write until the cows come home, so here goes: Our first experience here was pretty terrible. We came because my wife had gotten a $ 20 off $ 40 Groupon, but we made the mistake of coming here on Valentine’s Day — we didn’t read the fine print that the Groupon wasn’t valid. Well, I figured, we’re already here, we’ll just wait to be seated and get dinner. Turned out to be over a half-hour wait, but that’s what we get for not getting reservations. I don’t remember too much about the food that night, except that the portions were rather small, and I ended up eating mostly ginger and rice so my wife and kids could eat. We went again today to use the Groupon(BTW I think Groupons are evil). We got seated pretty quick(we made reservations this time) and ordered a few appetizers, one of which was the soft shell crab. Seriously, when the crab came out, I thought they might’ve mistakenly served me the soft shell crawfish, either that or the BP oil spill has really affected the crabs in the ocean and now they no longer grow to full adult size anymore. Then I decided to splurge for the night and got the $ 50 Medium Sushi Boat. So here’s where I felt like Sushi Factory was stingy — the menu clearly said that the boat serves 3 people, and came with rice and miso soup, but when they brought out the dish, they brought out only 2 rice and miso soup. What in the world? What’s the third person supposed to have? I commented on this, but the waitress said that it only came with 2 rice and miso soup. That kind of soured my mood for the evening, and as my wife knows full well, I’m very tempermental(«There you go again — you’re unhappy — story of my life», she says). I mean, really? You’re going to skimp on a bowl of rice and miso soup? for a $ 50 plate? The sushi platter was pretty decent for the most part, except some of the hamachi pieces were melt in your mouth — as in the-fish-was-so-mushy-it-had-lost-all-texture-and-firmness kind of melt in your mouth. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I don’t get diarrhea in an hour or two. Oh, and this is totally not the restaurant’s fault, but they seated another family next to us. These parents have obviously never heard of disciplining their kids. The two little brats kept bashing their plastic bowls on the table, creating quite a lot of noise. When their food came out, the mom was cutting the food for one of the kids, but apparently she wasn’t fast enough(although the only person I’ve seen who’s faster with scissors was Edward Scissorhands), and he was full on yelling at her to hurry up. My wife said she enjoyed sitting next to this family because it made us feel really good about our own kids. The edamame beans weren’t too bad, though. Edited to add: Yup, sure enough. It’s been two hours and that mushy not-quite-fresh fish has already made it through my system.

Came here for lunch, and ordered a bento box with 3 items. Salmon Teriyaki, sashimi, and tempura. It comes with rice, an orange, and a start of miso soup and salad. Everything was just okay. Nothing stood out. The salmon was cooked pretty well done, the sashimi was not super fresh, but it wasn’t too bad, and the tempura was pretty good. Overall, it’s a very baseline sushi place. I might consider coming back for the AYCE.

I had driven by Sushi Factory a couple of times and that raised my Curiosity. I was in the Area. So I rolled my Work Whip Big Mac to the Sushi Factory. I parked in the Parking lot right out in Front . I rolled in and was Greeted and Seated at the Sushi Bar. I went with the AYCE so my Server was the Sushi Chef. I ordered Saba, Sake and Maguro Nigri to start out with. I was presented that in 5 minutes. Nice pieces of Fish and Fresh. Next Order Unagi, Tamago and White Tuna. 5 minutes later I was presented with my order again. Yum Yummy. Next I ordered Miso Soup and Tempura 10 minutes later I had it .It was good. Then I finished with an order of Unagi, Maguro and Salmon. It was Fresh and Tasty. Service was good and fish was fresh. I paid by Discover Card and Rolled out.

My guess is that most people come here for the AYCE. However, I only ordered a Caterpillar Roll and my friend had a bento box w/teriyaki chicken and sashimi. I only ate 2⁄3 of my roll and didn’t even bother trying to take the rest home. For some reason all I could taste was mayo… possibly from the crab meat in the roll. The rice was kind of hard. For a place that’s deemed themselves ‘Sushi Factory’ I felt that their sushi was subpar.

$ 25 for unlimited sushi, sounds like my kind of restaurant. We got the Lion King Roll, the Ocean Dream Roll, the Dragon Roll, Helen’s Special Roll, the Godzilla Roll, and the Nemo Roll. Everything was delicious and so fresh. We devoured everything with the result of a stomach ache that was worth it. We also got edamame, which was warm and sprinkled generously with salt — just the way I like it. Their hot tea was also spectacular and served in a large tea pot, definitely more than worth the measly $ 1 they charged for it. I really like that for the unlimited sushi, it is also unlimited anything else off their menu as well. Like a buffet, only made as you order — so it hasn’t been sitting out for a half hour. Love it!
