Worst place ever. How do you offer sauce with chicken wings and then take it back from a customer? Inconsiderate and disappointing.

Food is over priced. They skimp on portions & and the food was very tasteless. Safe to say I will not be back. Should invest in better tasting rice & lighten on the Chinese 5 spice

The eggroll king. The name says it all. Ain’t no party like a ‘king eggroll’ party cuz a ‘king eggroll’ party don’t stop! Get enough for 2 per person at your next big gathering and take the night to a whole nother level. Nowadays, if there’s not king eggroll there I’m probably not coming. Stay away from The Chinese food but DO try the shrimp balls. Mmm, mmm.

They raised the price of 1 egg roll to $ 1.45 each. That’s crazy. Store number 1 on Lundy still sells them for $.85 each. Won’t be eating here

Went here today. Food was good. They take credit card now $ 5.00 min. That’s great. Don’t have to carry cash now. When I come here

If I had to choose between Panda Express and new king egg roll, I would choose new king egg roll. The wonton soup(#28) was very good. It has shrimp, char Siu pork, ground meat, and wontons! That’s a lot of protein. They also give you a lot of veggies to go with it. Never eaten such a premium wonton soup before. Also ordered dim sum, chicken wings, egg rolls, and porridge. All of them were good, but not amazing.

I’ve been to this location 3 times, and I do have to say that they are pretty consistent. But sadly, they’ve missed the mark on ALL3 occasions. Service here isn’t bad, but it isn’t that great either. The people behind the counter are not rude, but they are not that friendly either. Location wise, it is not a bad spot. If you compare it to the location on Story Rd. in SJ, parking is most definitely not a problem here. But it all makes sense right? Mediocre service couple with mediocre food = an EMPTY parking lot!!! I’m going to keep this brief. I ordered a tray of 30 egg rolls, and they were NOT on point! Texture wise, they were decent, but I couldn’t get over the aftertaste! Although it was a subtle aftertaste, I’ve never experienced this with the egg rolls at their other locations. «New King Eggroll??» Sorry guys, but you should invest in «NEW» cooking oil! I’d venture to say that the oil used yesterday was recycled from Thanksgiving! Okay, that’s a bit harsh, but the bottom line here is the egg rolls SUCKED! Side note: Try 1 egg roll before taking the plunge for 30!!! Conclusion I won’t be heading back anytime soon! I’d stick to the Story Rd. or Lundy Ave. locations.

OMG, I’m trying to order egg rolls at King Egg Roll in Milpitas. They have a big sign that states«PARTYTRAY order and pick up». So I go over to where the sign is since I’m ordering a party tray. This rude lady wanted me to go back to the end of the line. When I just saw a customer ordering a party tray right in front of me and I was told by the other lady that she will take my order! Arguing with them about going to the back of the line was crazy. They seem confused too when people came in and say they placed an order yesterday. They are rude but their food is good.

I agree, this place changed for the worse. I tried their 3 item combo and most of the food on the warmer are close to getting dry i.e. theyve been there for a while. Prices are high for a typical Chinese restaurant and you get small portions as if youre in a fast food restaurant. The only thing good I found is ample parking and easy access.

I love that it’s not CASHONLY like the one on King Road, as Credit Cards are accepted here. Great for parties, and I like that I don’t have to wait, like I do on King Road, and the location is easy to get to, and I don’t have to fight the busy parking lot, due the flea market. For the times I called in orders, I had I got when I needed it; however, on King Road, if you call in an order, you still have to wait a long time, as your still put to the back of the line for some reason. Bottom line, you’re guests will be happy with the food.

Located in what looks like a former Denny’s, so there’s booth seating but the quality of the food is super low and the egg rolls are not anywhere as good as the King Eggroll on Berryessa or on Story. For some reason, they scribbled out the prices on the menu board so you have to ask how much something costs. I guess it will fit your needs if you are looking for 70s style steam table Chinese food with the goopy red sweet and sour pork and fried rice combo, but otherwise there’s quite a few stellar restaurants serving outstanding Chinese cuisine just on the other side of 880 that will serve up much better food for the same price.

I drove out here to try the egg rolls. Decided to get some orange chicken is well, just to give it a try. The orange chicken was very lacking in flavor. With no pricing listed in the store, something I did not like… I ordered just based on size of the carton. Was a little strange they couldn’t tell me the pricing but I decided to just give it a shot since it was one item. When I got home after a 15 minute drive, open the bag and saw the egg rolls were packed perfectly, with the box cut open to let out heat so the egg rolls did not get soggy. The orange chicken was in the typical takeout container for Chinese restaurants. The food however was not so great, the orange chicken that is. The flavor was lacking, the chicken pieces were fairly small and highly breaded. Now I am a white boy so I can’t claim to know a lot about Chinese food however… I’ve been to my fair share of Chinese restaurants and this was definitely not very good food. I’ll definitely be going back to get eggrolls however, they were exceptional and they got both of the 2 stars I provided in the review. The other food on display however looked very unappetizing and what I did order and tried, the orange chicken, no good. I did see some shrimp balls, that looked a little interesting and I may try those next time. They were unable to provide a menu for takeout, and directed me to their website. However their website does not currently show a real menu it just flashes a few pictures.

I personally don’t find anything wrong with this location. In fact, I much prefer this location than others for their eggrolls. Hell, this place makes probably the best I’ve had in a long time. I can’t speak about the other options, but these fine folks have never let me down.

I am extremely unhappy about a recent experience here. I’ve tried this King Eggroll several times, and I have to say that each time in past few years or so that I’ve gone the quality of the food has gone down. Also it is very strange that they do not provide pricing on any of their menus. As another reviewer said, it’s so they can raise prices whenever they can, but it’s not a standard business practice that I generally see anywhere else and comes across a little shady. One time I asked the woman behind the counter about it and she told me as such, stating that a box of broccoli sometimes would cost upwards of $ 50 or something like that. That alone would not merit a one star review, even though it’s weird but what really displeases me is what happened when I tried to call in for an order of 30 eggrolls for takeout. I called the day before hoping to make an order and was told to «just call them the next day before you come pick up the eggrolls». To me, that sounded like they would have enough ready to go that day or that she actually took my order down somehow. She didn’t say to call in the morning, but to call right before I was ready to come pick them up. Because I was busy preparing for the event, I asked my sister to go pick up the eggrolls. Needless to say, when she arrived she was informed there were several people«ahead of her,» and that she would have to wait at least 30 minutes to get the eggrolls. Furthermore, she apparently gave my sister major attitude to boot. I don’t know what their policy is for taking orders ahead of time, because no one clearly stated it to me. «Call before you come to pick it up» sounded like I put in an order. If she had just told me that I would need to call the morning of for an afternoon pickup or if she had just bothered to actually take my order and number down like most other places would have, this problem would not have happened. To be clear, the one star review is for decreased quality of food over a few years, the inability to communicate clearly over the phone for a simple order, and rude service. When I drive by I rarely see cars there and I used to feel sorry for them. I’ll be saving my energy from now on, and driving out to one of the other locations or getting eggrolls from Lee’s down the street in the future now. I hope they learn how to run the business better in the future for their sake, but I won’t be visiting anytime again in the future to find out for myself.

I dropped in expecting a selection dim sum, since it’s on their marquee. Silly me. Only some egg rolls, fried shu Mai, deep fried shrimp covered with fried won ton noodle strips. The name is a real misnomer. They only had 2 types of egg rolls. This is really more like a 2nd rate Panda Express. So I had the hot sour soup, which was actually decent.

I was trying to find the Fosters Freeze and realized I went too far, so I decided, well I’m turning at this corner with the New King Eggroll, why not order something? Well I went through the doors and it was quite uninviting. They have steam trays full of food and some steam baskets of dim sum though I didn’t see on their menu of what items and how much. I was too dumbfounded by the whole experience and asked for some bbq pork. They said it was priced by the pound and it was ~$ 9 – 10. yikes! So I asked for about a quarter. She basically said, I’m going to stuff this small container until you say when. I quickly said stop after one pull of meat and it was ~ $ 2. I left and pulled out a piece to eat and sad to say it was quite dry and lacking flavor. I might as well have just gone to the 99 Ranch and I’m sure it would’ve been cheaper and better. Will I come back… very very very very unlikely.

3.5 stars! King eggrolls are the standard for eggrolls. All other fried eggrolls pale in comparison. It’s not a party unless someone brings a tray of eggrolls from King Eggroll. The King eggrolls I’ve had before have always come from one of the SJ locations. They have locations in Gilroy and Newark as well as this one in Milpitas. This Milpitas one is the first one I’ve ever visited, so I don’t really know how to compare it to the other locations. My friend and I walked in on a Sunday afternoon to pick up some of their eggrolls for a party. We hadn’t ordered ahead. There were a few customers, but it was not crowded. We walked up to the counter where all the food is on display. I thought that King Eggroll only sold eggrolls and chicken wings, but they actually serve other food, like fast food Chinese food. Some people were sitting at tables eating food out of bowls. The two employees behind the counter were busy preparing an order, so we took a look around until another employee came out to help us. We wanted to get vegetarian eggrolls and pork eggrolls. For the veggie eggrolls, all that was out on the counter was three of them. When we told him we wanted veggie eggrolls, he motioned to the three eggrolls, which I presume meant that this was all that was left of them. He didn’t say that they were going to make any more anytime soon. So we ended up getting just three veggies and the rest of our order was all pork eggrolls. There were plenty of pork eggrolls. I didn’t really take a good look at what other things they had as the eggrolls were our main mission. There are no prices for the eggrolls — it’s weird. It’s not labeled where the food is on the counter and it’s not on the signs above the counter. Actually, if you look closely, the sign originally did have prices but they blacked them out with a Sharpie. I guess this is their way of being able to increase prices on a moment’s notice. But even writing the prices on a piece of paper would be helpful and an improvement. The guy who helped us with our order was friendly. He separated the veggie eggrolls from the pork ones and labeled each paper bag with a sticker so we knew which was which — that was great. Several little containers of the red sauce was also included. In the end, we got the eggrolls that we wanted and were in and out in five minutes, since there was no line. The eggrolls tasted good as always — yummy friedness. I noticed that to the left-hand side, there’s the pick-up area for pre-orders, and there were lots of those pink boxes that you normally see at bakeries. That’s cute that they use pink boxes. Instead of donuts or pastries, you open it up and get eggrolls! What a lovely surprise that’ll be!

So I am a pretty big critic when it comes to egg rolls, and these are ok. I guess that you could call them fast food egg rolls, not totally amazing, but they’ll do the job. However, I know that my boyfriend, loves them to death. They make both Veggie and Pork. The food is alright, once again, kind of like fast food. The service, is pretty good! Even when super packed and busy, the staff keep their cool and try to be as efficient and quick as possible. It does get kinda hectic in there! It’s not the cleanest restaurant… but it’s also not the dirtiest.
