Drive from San Jose and didn’t really he only post on Unilocal clearly indicates that dogs NEEDMEMBERSHIP! It’s 100 a year 7 day a week use or 50 dollars 12 month membership for weekends only. Definitely looked really nice a country club version of regular dog parks. Had a bunch of obstacle courses and activities for dogs.

Mon-Fri 7am-10am, 2pm-8pm Saturday and Sunday 8am — 8pm This is a members only dog park run by the Humane Society of Silicon Valley located in Milpitas, CA northeast of the«Great Mall». It is an exceptional dog park with six foot fences, separate small and large dog sections with fabulous synthetic grass that was *properly installed* with drainage to keep it fresh. Fees in 2013 were per dog: $ 50 a year for«weekend warriors» $ 100 a year to use it 7 days a week This is how I describe it: It is a dog park that you join like you would a boarding facility. New members show documentation of the dogs vaccinations and the dog goes through a temperament assessment to assure that the dog is properly social. In addition, the human is observed to assure that they pay attention to their dog while they are in the dog park. If the dog and human passes the test you pay a nominal fee and receive a credit card sized key that unlocks the gates to get in. The dog park is located at the Humane Society Silicon Valley in Milpitas, CA. There is lots of parking(with solar panels over many of the parking spaces), real bathrooms, benches, covered canopies, patio chairs like you might have at home, plenty of fresh water, dog pools, agility equipment, Chuck-Its donated by patrons, lots of *clean* tennis balls, trees, shrubs, and more. Monday through Friday the dog park is shut down some during the day to give the animal shelter dogs time to use the dog park area: Mon-Fri 7am-10am, 2pm-8pm. On Saturday and Sunday there is no interruption of use and is open 8am — 8pm. Best of all my dog loves it. We love our mainstay dog park but it has bark chips and my dog does not like the sharp parts of the raw bark chips. This is a state of the art facility(inside and out) with a keen eye on people picking up after their dogs and no tolerance for aggressive dogs. I think I will upgrade to the $ 100 a year fee so that I can use it 7 days a week when I visit family in the Bay Area on holidays. What is $ 100 a year to know that my dog will be in good company and not be drinking nasty water? From what I can see from walking around, there is an animal medical facility on site, the adoption center and a day care facility. Do I have any complaints? Maybe that it were bigger for the big dogs. I wish that there were more dogs… but…we do always have someone to play with and to be fair we just started and it has been hot out so many not so many people go til around closing time. One more comment. In addition to the regular vaccinations the dog(s) need to show evidence of a negative giardia test which, I believe, their medical facility can process for members. You can get the giardia test after the dog(s) pass the temperament test.
