Foothill Adventist Elementary School

My son now goes else where and is doing very well in the first grade, when foothill wanted to «hold him back» in kindergarten. What a joke!!! Glad we left that school. Unfortunately it’s your poor pick of teachers foothill!

My daughter has been at this school for 9yrs, from K thru 8^th grade. If you are looking for a small Christian environment, this school is for child. The teacher and student ratio is definitely very small. They do double up in the classroom. My daughter has been in classes where 3^th-​4^th, 5^th-​6^th, 7^th-​8^th are combined and are basically only 3 classrooms. It is quite unusual but it’s what you make of it. Although it’s Christian and private, it does not mean you do not pay attention to the progress of your child. Do work with the teachers and your child to help them succeed. I am a very active parent in my child’s academic progress and from 1^st grade on, she’s been a 4.0 student until she recently graduated. The teachers at this school are like teachers at any school, you need to work with them to help them help your child.
The one thing that stands out at this school is the family-​like environment. All the kids know each other, from K-​8the grade. All the parents will bump into each other at least once a week. The 7^th and 8^th grade kids buddy up with a Kindergarten or 1^st grader to help your young children feel loved in the school.
All the teachers are there to help. If you think your child needs additional attention, the teachers are there to assist. They are a call or an email away.
I have been content with this school for many years. And if i ever felt uncomfortable about anything, I have never had an issue speaking with the principle or the teachers. My issues or concerns have never been ignored. I high recommend this school.

My son did go to discovery land and foothill, my son really enjoys the school … The school atmosphere is awesome.
Ms. Strickland is a very good teacher and my son really loved his teacher a lot. She always used to keep me updated with my son’s performance and development in school. Being a first timer as a kindergarten teacher, I’d give a hats off for her dedication and hardwork. Just like my son says Ms. Strickland is the best.

Foothill is a wonderful Christian school where students, parents, and teachers constantly work together. I am impressed by the collaboration among the staff and their desire for all students to succeed. The PTO is active and parents are very involved. Currently, with 110 students, classroom sizes range from 9 – 25 students. The school has been consistently growing for 5 years and continues to flourish! Their afterschool program includes choir, basketball, archery, volleyball, gymnastics, soccer and more! If you want your child to be nurtured while learning in a Christ-​centered environment, Foothill is the school for you.
