Ordered boiled whole fish which was supposed to be the freshest fish dish they recommended, turned out neither fresh nor authentic — in terms of fish was fried before cooking. Will never go back.

I have been to many Szechuan(Sichuan) restaurant in the bay area, so far, this is the worst one. The service was not bad that’s way I gave 1 star. Heard about this place in the Chinese community and I would like to have my personal experience since I like to try new places. The first time I tried was not too bad but nothing special. Definitely not authentic Sichuan cuisine. The second time I tried was last Friday. Invited a good friend to join me. What a disappointment. The beef combination didn’t cook well, tasted funny and we had to send the dish back to the kitchen. Lamb skewer was under cooked as well. The manager did take both of the dishes off the bill. Will not try this place again.

Luv is the right word to describe this place: quality, delicate, well-balanced taste with high level of sauce texture! presentation: very big bowl/plates(colorful) without competition, u won’t know who’s your level of taste buds!Compare to Chili Garden, S. Legend Sichuan, Szechuan Chilli, Apple Bistro(Cupertino)& San Mateo down Sichuan place, average price for 1person after tax & tips: «still $ 30» After I got in by myself today, was 85% full, with all China mainland high tech peeps(mandarin speakers) What I got today was; 蒜泥白肉:A++++++ A must get, Honestly, 2 hands down, delicate texture, thin sliced, with no oil or fatty, no pig smell but tender and not dry with their special sauce, mmmmmmmm, amazing! spicy fish 石斑鱼:A So huge, like Gordon said, «So Big», very spicy but good, but it taste different than the first time, forgot last time I came with a group of mainlander(China) engineers it was impressive, they ordered a different fish perhaps! 1st time I came w/an amazing Mainlander(China) hosts/party of 15 重庆辣子鸡:don’t get it, it’s not good! C 分针排骨:not bad B Pig feet: A+++ so so so impressive delicious 红烧五花肉:A Taste tender

So many dishes to choose from. Family sized portions. Everything we ordered were good. We had the bacon cabbage, fish and pickled vegetables soup, and beef fried rice. Fast service. Kind of fancy looking.

I love it when a waiter chases me down and demands for a tip.

Love the spicy wonton and fish fillet with black bean sauce. Tried different places but this is the perfect place! Water cress and Bok Choy are simply delicious too :)

Rude and worst experience I have ever had on this planet! I wish I could give them a minus-5 star. Tonight I had good mood to go this restaurant to have dinner with friend. By the end, I asked the owner(A Chinese guy wearing black glasses) if any free shaved ice(I had before in this restaurant), he replied Yes if paid in cash. After I paid in cash, he said we only offer free rice ball soup tonight and no free shaved ice. I said fine if you just changed your mind. After 3 minutes, the waitress told us rice ball soups were sold out. Then the owner asked if you still want shaved ice instead. I was so pissed off by this restaurant owner and replied no need any more. What a greedy owner — cheated customers by paying him with cash and broke his promising to the offers to customer(we all know why he prefers cash instead of credit card. I wish IRS would do an audit.) The 2nd thing pissed me off tonight was I had them to pack the leftovers(Fish fillet with sour cabbage soup). They messed up by packing together with other customers’ leftover. I was so disgusted and refused to take them back. In conclusion, this restaurant will be on my blacklist permanently!

The food is really really good, I have tried many others Szechwan restaurants before, but I must say this is the best of Bay Area.

1. VERY over priced. 2. Only one waiter to cover the whole dining area at dinner time, had to wait for our bill for over 20 minutes. 3. The food… Where to begin… The spicy blood dish was full of semi warm intestine, the pig blood was not even hot, the clear noodle was far from well cooked for it’s too hard to chew… And the flavor didn’t sink into any of the ingredient. Very disappointed at this restaurant. I had high hopes for the food since it has such a interior décor.

I really wanted to like this place. But I’m just unsatisfied and disappointed. We came here for dinner ordered the Kobe beef, lamb, shrimp, and squid. The squid was the only thing I didn’t regret. Kobe beef was $ 10 for 3 small squares of meat and on top of that it was cold like it just got out of a refrigerator. The lamb was a skinny little piece of meat on a short skewer and the shrimp was a single shrimp. So the prices you see on the menu are for a tiny skewer. The squid was a whole squid though and really delicious. After spending $ 35 on a very small amount of food we were still hungry. We ordered the spicy pork belly which was SOGOOD. But next time I order it I’ll get it to go because we sat waiting for our rice for 10 minutes before we could flag someone down to remind them. I felt bad for the waiter because it seemed like everyone working there except for him was on break. Soooo yeah. Skip it. Or if you really want it, get it to go.

Stopped in CBI Kitchen yesterday for lunch. It’s tucked in a corner of the huge Ranch 99 shopping center. Lunch was busy and parking is always a premium at 12:30 noon. The restaurant is clean and service is good. Most of the Szechuan menu is spicy. we ordered the following: Tea Smoked Duck 4.5 stars very good half a duck per order smoky crispy skin. Spicy Boiled Beef 4 stars lunch size order actually good size bowl. Cabbage and smoked pork belly pot 3.5 stars skimpy in the pork belly Beef Noodle soup 3.5 stars the noodles and soup base are good the beef cubes are tiny and really tough. Jou Neang Tong Yuan dessert 4 stars big bowl The menu is big and prices are very reasonable.

Location: Milpitas Square of Asian restaurants and Ranch 99. Setting: typical deco and arrangement of Chinese restaurant in medium size. The surrounding booths is a plus. The restaurant is relatively young. Food: trendy, in line with popular food styles in mainland China such as BBQ fish. We tried two typical dishes for lunch, and concluded that it could not be better in cooking and taste. So we will give a trial for dinner. Parking: free, plenty at night but challenging during lunch hours. The con(costing a star) was long waiting time after ordering the food.

LOVE. Seriously. We come here at least twice a month, but realistically it like once a week. The lamb pot(H24) and the BBQ fish are my absolute favorites, as well as the mushroom and lotus dish to help with cool down. Everything is an excellent, sweat inducing level of spicy. And oily. If you don’t like oily dishes, I would avoid most of the pots. The lamb skewers can be a little hit or miss depending on the day, but when its on. its ON and you’ll wish you ordered 20 of them. We’ve tried a good chunk of the menu and so far everything has been fantastic. And best of all? They have snow. Good snow. Especially when its topped with brown sugar. which they run out of often. So get here early if you ever hope to try it(seriously the last four times we’ve gone its been out. Utter heartbreak). Pro-tip: Take your leftover pot sauces to go(assuming there’s veggies left). It makes for great next day meal if you add in protein(I like to use ground pork) and top it over rice or ramen noodles.

Don’t get the spicy frog. It’s bony and mostly fillers for the plate. Lots of chilis and other veggies. Duck was juicy and good. Spicy wonton appetizers are ok. Spicy pork ribs were a bit disappointing.

CBI Kitchen is now our favorite restaurant in Milpitas. Their dishes have great taste, large volume, fast cooking/delivery, and their seatings are quite spacious, with bright lights(good feeling for eaters…). Many cuisines are our favorite, such as 大盘鸡,沸腾小肥羊,酸菜鱼,水煮鱼,(they have great combination of meat and vegetable); others like 烤鱼,美容蹄, etc, are also favorable, they are relatively more delicious than other restaurants.

Pleasantly surprised. We came here on a Sunday afternoon, for a late lunch. I think this was just after the lunch rush, because all the employees seemed to be taking their lunch break. We ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice(not«traditional,» of course. But when you have a craving for it…). They were really generous with the shrimp and the pineapple chunks, so it was better than I expected. We also had the«Cooked Dry Broth»(that’s the menu translation) — you pick your own ingredients, pick the spice level, and they throw it together in a bowl. The serving was HUGE. I would say 5 – 6 items is more than enough for two people. For that numbingly-spicy food, we decided to go for the Boiled Vegetables. Again, they were really generous with the portions. The vegetable dish was my favorite by far. The only downside was that the A/C wasn’t on, so they just had the door open and it got really hot in the restaurant with all the hot food and people. Service was also really bad. But the rest of the menu looks like a mix between traditional and fusion, so I’ll definitely be back to try more of it. Maybe take-out next time.

Second time here. So far, so good. Spicy hot and flavorful dishes. Great presentation of dishes. Good services. Very good for spicy eaters. 夫妻肺片 and 水煮魚 are both great. House special beef noodle needs work on the beef. Noodle is average.

We came here on a early Friday evening, place was starting to get busy. I wanted some good spicy-numbing-food. This place is not bad. We ordered Szechuan Spicy Fish Filet — piping hot with a layer of spicy oil, plenty of fish filet. It was medium spicy with numbing pepper corn, which was good. There was bean sprouts, vermicelli, mushrooms and other veggies at the bottom. We did enjoy this dish. Second dish we had was Pork with Garlic Chili Sauce — just as good. This was an appetizer cold dish, but we treat it like one of the main dish. Pork was sliced very thin, a generous portion of raw mashed garlic on top, very garlic-ky! Underneath was some veggies to absorb the chili sauce. It was a pretty good dish too. Finally, to easy our palate a little … we had to order some non-spicy vegetables. We ordered Fungus Mushroom Chinese Yam — I am not a big fan of the Chinese Yam, just too slimmy to me, but it’s supposed to be good for us. Anyways, vegetables dish was very light :) Pretty crowded as we leave, I don’t mind coming here again to try out the spicy chicken.

I was pleasantly surprised. This is actually a very unique Northern Chinese restaurant that serves a wide range of Xinjiang dishes with interesting blend of spices and preparation styles. It’s sort of an eye-opener for me. We had wontons with spicy sauce, fish fillet with chili peppers, Chinese«luffa» squash with dried shrimp, Black woodear mushroom with Chinese mountain yam, Shabu soup with a variety of ingredients, BBQ chicken, beef, beef tongue, Indian«A» lettuce, tofu, and lamb skewers, BBQ rice balls. Did not know a large population in Northern China grilled so much of their food and the spices and flavors used are simply extraordinary and delicious. Everything was flavorful and tasty. This restaurant is much better than I had anticipated. I look forward to my next dining experience at CBI Kitchen.
