Just got back from my appointment & couldn’t get over how Great my hair look! Melanie is truly a pleasure so work with, I had so much fun! Will highly recommend to all!

I went to Shear Aura and had my hair cut, colored and highlighted. Melanie was very nice and professional. I would recommend Shear Aura to everyone. The prices are great and the staff is wonderful.

I visited this place for a hair color and a cut. The owner was very nice and knowledgeable person. She knew what she was doing, what cut would suit a particular face. She suggested me a shampoo and conditioner and i absolutely loved it. The price was reasonable as well. Would definitely go back

Melanie was awesome! I was in the area and needed a blow dry for an event. I wasn’t too sure when I saw the neighborhood and saloon on the first floor of the residential building. But once I was in the chair, OMG, it was like I knew her forever and we chatted so much (I generally keep quiet in the saloons).
She doesn’t pick up phones when she is with a client and gives her complete attention. She loves what she does. I live and work in the NYC and really missed that kind of personal attention by a professional. I got my month old hair cut fixed by her. The price was really reasonable. She even gave me free tips for swimming when she learned that I am still learning. Will definitely go back.

I had a haircut here this morning with Melanie. I went in not knowing exactly what I was hoping for, but with some ideas. She took the time to explain my options and really listened to my opinion. I ended up with a great haircut. And also, Melanie was so friendly and nice, I was comfortable talking to her. She was super nice to my children and even braided my daughter’s hair. It’s rare to find a salon that not overbooked, crowded and overpriced. Shear Aura is totally focused on the customer it’s a great experience. I have finally found a salon I will readily return to.

I purchased an online deal for a blowout at Shear Aura and I’m so happy that I did! I had to attend a wedding and needed my hair did. I was able to book an appointment for the morning I needed without any issues.
The salon is located right on Main St. in Milltown and I must’ve passed it a hundred times. It is on the ground floor but there is a pretty big sign in front.
I’m embarrassingly horrible with names, but I believe the owner did my hair. She was incredibly friendly and understood exactly what I wanted (I showed her a picture). She also took her time to make sure it looked perfect. We also chatted non-​stop the whole time, which is a plus, because I hate the awkwardness that can sometimes happen during hair appointments.
The prices are very reasonable (even without the deal!) and as I mentioned, I was very happy with the results. I definitely plan on going back and recommend trying them out!
