This place has been through so many changes. For awhile, the core of their business was sending chewing tobacco through the mail and all the other aspects of the business fell by the wayside. I smoke an odd cigarette which only three retailers in Lancaster County sell. So General was a regular stop for me. While their business has changed, apparently they’re out of the mail order thing, they still have problems keeping basics in stock but it’s better than it used to be. Service there used by handled by a varied group of MU students who were always rather nice and friendly. For a long while now I seem to run into one woman who seems harried, overworked and seldom seems to have any enjoyment in what she is doing. That’s a shame.
