Been in town a few years and became a local at restaurant. Staff is very friendly and owner is very personable. Menu is always subject to change with season but never a bad selection. Entertainment every Friday and Saturday night and outdoor dining is always a plus especially with children. Family atmosphere and outdoor dining great when kids get little loud and or restless.

Super friendly service and excellent food! The beer broth shrimp are awesome, and all the veggies are cooked so that they are still nice and crisp. Had the Buf-a-yaki wings as an appetizer and loved them! Will definitely return when we’re back in the area.

Stopped in while on vacation. Saw ad in Georgia Mag and gave it a chance. I wanted chicken, had the boneless fried and it was great. Was worried might be fishy tasting, lots of fish on the menu, but it wasn’t. Food, service and everything was great. On the water but not a great view and we sat on the patio. Bar is separate from restaurant so pretty kid freindly. Averaged about $ 20 per person with drinks, one child had two kids meals — shrimp and chicken baskets. My only complaint was the wifi. Waitress said they would look into it but it never came on. Being on the lake for a week, getting online was one reason we went to town. I have a place and wifi is not that difficult to have available.

Service made this place a five star worthy from the door to the booth everyone was very friendly. The food was fresh and hot. This will be my go to place when I come into town.

Being from Northern VA — we could go by water on the Potomac River and enjoy seafood at Tony & Joe“s in Georgetown, or boat over Maine Avenue and pick up our own fresh catch. Since moving tp Lake Sinclair last September, we’ve been waiting for a place locally to be open for lunch and can arrive by water. Jackson’s now is fitting the bill. My husband had the lobster bisque — it was as good and rivaled that of Tony & Joe’s. I had the shrimp cocktail. Although using small shrimp, they were cooking to perfection. I hope they add Peel and Eat shrimp to the menu! We will be back very soon — and hope to enjoy a wonderful meal to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. Only improvement I could suggest is modernizing the indoor décor. Other than that — «Motor» on Jackson’s! It’s great food at a good price. Ana, our server, was fantastic! Very kind and accommodating. Great food, great service, great price! I hope I’ll have another chance to come here. We had three appetizers, three adult meals, and one children’s meal. The price was right around $ 100! Not to even mention(again) how delicious the food was. Our server was extraordinarily patient, as the three-year-old in our party started to have a tantrum during dinner(for which we apologized profusely). She took it in stride. Lucky for us, we were the only guests in that part of the restaurant, so we weren’t bothering anyone else.

I came here during a business trip this week. Came on a wed. night with coworkers. We had the steampot and brownies for dessert. Service and food was so good, we came tonight for a repeat! Definitely recommend this place. Desserts are like CRACK! GETTHESTEAMPOT you won’t regret it. Just prepare for the food coma that follows. I will definitely say all worth it and not even that pricey. Annnnd I’m done.

We only had wings which were very good. We got there close to closing but prior to the restaurant was crowded so that is a good sign it must be good

Been many times to the bar for drinks and music over the past 3 years but we had our first dinner there last night and I cannot believe how much we’ve missed out! Excellent menu and the food was above our expectations.

Ordered out and the sides were left out. Called and left a message because they were closed when we got home and noticed. Called and spoke to someone who said the manager would call back and never heard from them! Horrible service and payed for food we didn’t get!

Jacksons was such a surprise. Came here many times when this was Choby’s but I have to rave about the improvement. The dining room hasn’t changed much, but the quality of the food has improved. I had the catfish filets. They were perfectly battered and tasted very fresh. The portion was huge and I was able to eat enough to be full and still take some home for a second meal. Happy to come back again.

came here for the first time over the weekend. our experience far exceeded our expectations. menu consists of steaks, fried/steamed seafood baskets, burgers, pasta, etc. started with some raw oysters, and was blown away by the size and quality of the oysters they brought out. best looking oysters i’ve had this year, and i get them frequently at all sorts of places in atlanta. very reasonably priced, too. tried the blackened mahi entrée special, which tasted great, and was a much thicker filet than i am used to seeing at casual seafood restaurants. girlfriend went with the fried catfish, which was a huge portion, and again, very tasty. service was friendly, atmosphere was nice in the dining room. lots of dark woods, and lots of booths. definitely the best meal i’ve had in milledgeville to date.
