Good milktea. Easy to find parking. I like the atmosphere that I can do my school work in a nice and food environment there.

The brown rice green milk tea is good here. Check in for a free upgrade! But you have to have a topping like boba or jelly. We had this slightly less sweet. You can choose more ice or less ice and how sweet you want it to be. You order it as 25%, 50%, 75% less. There’s a card behind the register so you can figure it out easily.

Always down to try a new boba spot but I would have to say this place is a let down… Came here this afternoon with my friend for a drink. Wasn’t busy at all so I guess people just take their drink and go. Parking — there is plenty of street parking. Service — they’re pretty nice and friendly. Food — 1. Eggettes — this was a winner! Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside… just how I like it! And only $ 2? Can’t beat that! 2. Matcha green tea latte — could’ve been better. Could barely taste the matcha. There was way too much milk. 3. Roasted milk tea — this was alright. Glad I got to try this place out but I’m not in a hurry to come back.

Found this little gem today and it was fabulous. I ordered the roasted milk tea with tapioca and got a free upgrade. The tea was 3.75 $ but with added tapioca(.50) extra it came out to 4.25 $. It’s a small little place with nice décor and the music. They also had rice rolls with your choice of sauce(peanut, spicy, and some others) & some type of balls in curry sauce for $ 2.50. My roasted milk tea was delicious with a nice toasty flavor, not too sweet and with PERFECTLYCOOKEDTAPIOCA. I was asked how sweet I wanted it and how much ice which is cool but just said«regular» and it was PERFECT! I have found My new boba place.

So happy there’s a chatime in millbrae which is closer to SF than to go all the way to Oakland! I always get the brown rice green milk tea with grass jelly. And the taste and quality is great. Chatime is the only place that has brown rice green milk tea that I like.

Went to the newly opened Chatime in Millbrae. It is off of El Camino in the Capuchino Square business area. Place is new and clean with a purple and white décor. I had the Red Bean Pearl Milk Tea and it was on point. The boba had good texture, soft, and chewy. The red bean had nice sweet red bean flavor that reminded me of Hong Dao Bing. Also had the Roasted Milk Tea and it had a good tea flavor. Accept all credit cards and the price includes tax. Staff is friendly despite being very busy, which is a plus. Will be visiting again to try the other drinks such as Banana milk tea and the Brown Rice Milk Tea. You can decide the level of sweetness and amount of ice. There is free Wi-Fi for the customers. Also have the 5 Stars rewards program with a free drink after buying 10 drinks.

Update: added a star as the owner apologized. I was disappointed but appreciate the response. I really wanted to like this place, but I’m pretty sure they messed up my order. I ordered a couple banana milk teas for family and a brown rice milk tea for myself. I didn’t try them in the shop as I wanted to drive them home and enjoy them with my family. I don’t really like sweet teas, so I was happy I ordered something 50% sweet. I take out the tea labeled«brown rice green tea» from my bag and pop in my straw… And it’s super sweet banana. Everyone got banana. To make matters worse, the boba was stuck together in the bottom so you couldn’t suck it up your straw. I’m hoping this was an off day, but what a disappointment.

I love it when I find a new boba place that serves good quality drinks. I’ve been to this location and the San Mateo location. I like the variety better at San Mateo but this place also fulfills my boba cravings. I had the oolong creama and I tried my sisters banana milk tea. Surprisingly both were delicious! The oolong creama was not too sweet and it had a great tea taste. The creama in my opinion was decent but not as good as sharetea. The banana milk tea tastes like one of those Korean banana milk drinks and I liked it. Overall, if I’m in the area I’ll definitely stop by again! It’s a decent place for people who love their boba!

I really liked this Chatime. Our drinks were perfect. Fast friendly service and very patient with us because we couldn’t make up our minds. They even offered a few recommendations. There’s inside and a few outside seating with parking only available on the streets. I’m not from Millbrae but I’ll definitly stop by again when I’m in the area.

1 million times yes. Their taro milk tea is perfect. There is a creamy, gritty taro texture in their milk tea that I have not enjoyed anywhere else in the Bay Area. Very consistent with Chatimes internationally. Wish there were more locations!

Buy 2 get 1 free special for their grand opening special! I’ve always liked Chatime and this one is just as consistent. ordered: 1. Taro Milk Tea, no toppings 2. Hot roasted milk tea, no toppings 3. Regular Milk tea, no toppings They made the drinks super fast and made sure the drinks tasted ok prior to leaving. Great experience so far and will be back next time I’m in the area.

I was sooooo excited because I love roasted milk tea and Chatime had it on the menu. Unfortunately, the roasted milk tea at Chatime is not good. Total FAIL! Never again! So disappointed!!!

cute convenient boba place in millbrae. i asked for the eggettes once and it took them 20 minutes to make it. i guess their batter was not good or something? And they don’t have almond milk tea or you can’t get lychee with black tea. only wiht green tea. which i thought was interesting… so overall 3 stars.

I guess Chatime is a west and east coast thing — I got so excited seeing one out here as there are plenty of branches in nyc. The quality is the same — got the roasted milk tea — 50% sugar 50% ice — I like that you can customize that. The boba was cooked well and fresh. If you check in on Unilocal — you get a free upgrade(size) They also have the 5 stars rewards system here — buy 10 drinks get 1 free Prices are avg — $ 3.50 for a regular bubble milk tea. They sell little snacks too, like chips, rice rolls, seaweed rolls, and fish balls. There are few tables/chairs inside and outside the store

Even though there are tons of posts of the green tea latte, I thought the red bean milk tea was way better! The flavor of the tea is stronger. I got it with 30% sugar and 70% ice and thought that was perfect. Sometimes it’s tempting to get less ice so you get more drink, but then you’re left with this lukewarm, not-so-thirst-quenching drink. I really like Chatime for the very reason that the tea is strong. There are so many new boba shops now and all they make are weak teas with«fun» flavors. They use sugar to compensate for the lack of flavor and you can tell because once you get less sugar, you’re left with a crappy drink. So great job, Chatime.

I usually get the regular Chatime milk tea with pudding. Chatime is creamier than most places. I’d say it’s my favorite next to Share Tea. Only problem is they are really slow. I’ve had to wait on average 20−30minutes to get my drink. It seems to get worse on the past three visits. I think the owner should hire more staff.

I really like their milk tea and toppings. I usually get the plain milk tea with boba, but decided to try the red bean boba milk tea and it was amazing too! Pretty sweet but you can always ask them to lessen the sweetness too. Def a go-to place for a boba craving in Milbrae.

My first experience at ChaTime(in Foster City) was just okay. It didn’t stand out as I felt there were better tea places in the Bay. The baristas were slow & the drink was just sub-par. When the Millbrae location opened, I decided to give them another chance. This is my second visit to the ChaTime in Millbrae. I think ChaTime is slowly inching up to become one of my top favorites. They have a wide variety of drinks on their menu including milk teas, mousses, smoothies, fresh teas, fruit teas, etc. Basically, there’s something for everyone! Like some of their competitors, you can adjust the level of sweetness and ice level. Red Bean Pearl Milk Tea — «A» had this on his first visit and immediately this became a favorite as he loves red bean. It has a nice red bean flavor, which didn’t over power the tea. The red tea and the tea complimented each other. Just me ranting, but I feel they could be less stingy with the red bean. Roasted Tea Mousse Milk Tea with Tapioca– I haven’t tried too many of their other teas, but this is my favorite at the moment. I ordered with regular ice and 50% sweet. I’ve tried it with regular ice and 30% sweet, but it tasted a bit diluted. I think the 50% sweetness is a good ratio. The roasted tea mousse milk tea has a thick cream sitting atop so it’s rich and bad for my waistline(but YOLO, right?). Also, if you’re lactose intolerant, this drink is not for you. The texture of the tapioca was on point. It was soft and chewy. I also had their dark roast oolong milk tea in a previous visit. It’s not as rich as the mousse, but it has good tea flavor. Cute décor, clean, & friendly staff! There are tables inside and outside to enjoy your drink. Parking is usually available in front. This is my go-to tea spot when I’m in the area. ChaTime just needs to open a location in Daly City(I hear Westlake Village has vacancy *hint hint*)! Cons: No public restrooms Notes: Join the Five Star Rewards Program for a free drink after 10 drinks Check-In on Unilocal for a free size upgrade for every drink you order with toppings! $ 5 minimum on card use Free WiFi

My Chatime Roasted Milk Tea was watery and I could barely taste the tea. Compared to other tea shops, this place takes longer in terms of making drinks which I would have been okay with had my drink been good but it wasn’t the case. The shop was pretty quiet on a Saturday afternoon with people grabbing their drinks to go. For some reason it’s not much of a hangout spot even though the shop is clean and has ample seating. Perhaps it’s the quality of the tea, location(parking wasn’t the easiest to find), or the«no public restroom» sign. Cash only.

I must admit, my first experience with Chatime was quite horrible. It was at the Foster City location. The cashier was disorganize, the ‘baristas’ were super slow, and the drinks were sub-par. That first experience had me avoid Chatime for the longest time. Fast forward to present day. I was around Millbrae running some errands and passed by this Chatime. The front of the store attracted me in so I thought, ‘What the heck. This is a different location. Maybe I’ll have a completely new experience.’ I was right. All the workers were friendly and welcoming. Every single time I come, I was welcomed with ‘Nice to see you again!’ and ‘See you next time.’ I like when I feel welcomed. The service was much speedier than the one in Foster City but compared to other boba places it is still slower. Every week they have different deals. Opening week was buy one get one free, another was free one topping and my recent visit was free upgrade to large. I’m Chinese! I love deals! As for the drinks, my favorite is the Matcha Green Tea Latte with less ice and 70% sweet. Of course, the Matcha Red Bean is also good. Yogurt drinks were ok but not ‘my cup of tea’ as it was pretty sour. Chatime Milk Tea was good, neither bad or wow. Chocolate Mousse taste kind of watery. Perhaps more cocoa powder? Hot Matcha Latte was pretty bitter if you don’t ask for more sugar. But once the amount is right it is quite good. Mango green tea is excellent. The place is clean and parking is usually available up front. You can also park on El Camino and walk over. Wifi is available. Just wish the place is bigger so there are more places to sit when it gets busy. Can see some improvements on the speed of the order. Looks promising nonetheless!
