Allstate Insurance: Matthew Shlicoff

Matt has been my agent for several years. There is no one I trust as much as Matt for insurance. He is thorough about reviewing options, helpful and honest about my options and fast to respond by email and phone. Matt looks out for your best interest, even if it means advising you to go with another brand. I plan to stay with Matt until either I stop driving or he stops working in the industry.

I found Matt to be extremely pleasant to work with. He took the time to thoroughly review all my policies and offered some sound suggestions for coverage changes during the process. He also found some discounts that could be applied as well. I would definitely recommend his services.

I signed up on Facebook to receive a call for cheap car insurance matt called within a few days and gave me a killer cheap quote .he is nice attentive and very helpful. I have known Matt many years but it wasn’t until this year that I asked him as a courtesy to look over my current coverage from another provider as my policies were about to renew. He not only took the time to give me a detailed review but made several suggestions that made total sense. He also pointed out some things that weren’t currently covered under my existing policies and where those loopholes would be most easily remedied. I took that to my existing insurer and they ran a quote with the new requirements and the fees were even higher than the quote Matt had provided. I appreciated his educational approach to making an informed decision about my coverage and his personal service even before I was a client. On top of that the technology he used in setting up the policy made it extremely easy to sign up.

This review is long overdue.
Matt has been my agent for the better part of my adult life, at least 7 or 8 years. Obviously, there are reasons to stay with someone for so long. Please allow me to elaborate.
Customer service
Matt strives to make a customer for life, not just for a transaction. When you call, he typically picks up and if he doesn’t, you can bet to get a call back shortly. If your buying a car and don’t want to get sold on gap insurance, he’ll offer to have everything lined up so after your purchase the insurance is just a phone call away, even on the weekend. If you have questions, he answers. All sounds pretty simple right? However, to find that level of customer service these days is pretty rare, and once you found it you want to keep it. So much so that it is because of Matt that I am with Allstate. I realize that Allstate is great insurance, but its even greater to have an agent like Matt.

Not unlike my legendary commitment issues when it comes to gyms, I used to be commitment-​averse to insurance agencies as well, switching every 6 — 12 months. Until I met Matt about three years ago.
Let’s touch on the coverage for a moment and I’ll admit that I really don’t know one from the other. But for what it’s worth, when I bought my car the salesman at the dealership told me that Allstate was one of the best agencies to work with when it comes to actually NEEDING to submit a claim. Discount agencies will save you a buck but apparently you’ll pay for it when you need them. (Sidenote: Lawrence Volvo was a super pleasant car buying experience in case you’re in the market.)
The main and only reason why I am with Allstate is all because of Matt. He’s just hands down the best insurance agent. He has always been incredibly responsive and patient, answering all my questions thoroughly and promptly. When we first started working together he helped to tailor my auto insurance coverage so that it was comprehensive but still reasonable for my budget. After a year he helped me get an even sweeter deal when I combined it with my renter’s insurance.
I love working with him so much that when he started his own agency I point blank refused to stay with Allstate unless he took my business with him. And here we are, three years later and counting.
