I just had my first appointment at this cute lil salon and I loved it! Rachel did an amazing job on my cut and style! It was long overdue! I feel amazing and will be back to see her again soon!

Nicole is the best hairdresser I’ve ever had! I’ve been going to her for the past 8 years and followed her when she went to Studio 34. She’s talented and friendly and excels at cutting my type of hair (thin and wavy), and she performs miracles on it! I don’t know how she does it but Nicole makes my hair look thick and lustrous. What’s great is that Nicole always asks first what I want to do with my hair and listens to what I’m saying. I absolutely love her haircuts and will never go to anyone else. It’s amazing how many compliments I receive on my hair even when I’m overdue on getting a haircut. Recently I was at a restaurant and a man and his wife came over to my table and told me that my hair was beautiful! It made my day! Also I work retail and often receive compliments on my hair from my customers, and I’m happy to refer them to Nicole. Thank you, Nicole! You are the best!

i have been going to stephanie for my cut and color for 6 years –a couple of years ago, she had the courage and tenacity to open up her own salon, and of course i followed her to it! she has created an intimate, lovely, cozy salon. you feel like you are up in a yellow treehouse in mill valley! stephanie is the consumate professional — she is unbelievably talented (i have very fine straight hair, and she always cuts it to perfection), she does magic with color, and then on top of all that skill, she is totally charming with an engaging personality. i travel from north marin to come to her — i would follow her anywhere!

I’ve had my hair done by Stephanie for over 10 years now. When she moved to this new location, and opened up her own business few years ago, I was thrilled. She’s a genius at color and cut, and when I was tempted to go closer to my home at times I was always disappointed. She was also very open to my request of trying out a new NATURAL DYE product! I couldn’t be more pleased. Sure it lasts a few days less, as expected, but I don’t walk out feeling ridiculously toxic. There’s no reason women have to put chemicals on their hair — thanks to Stephanie I feel beautiful AND healthy. What more could you ask of a salon owner. Oh. prices? Perfect! Schedule? Accommodating! Environment? A beautiful relaxed location within Mill Valley! 5 stars all the way!

Yes, Stephanie is indeed a genius. I don’t know how she does it, but I have never left her salon not totally, 100% satisfied. My daughter and I have been going to Stephanie Duenas for about 8 years. My daughter has now moved away, but she never comes home to Mill Valley without making an appointment with Stephanie. Stephanie is very professional, her cuts, colors and highlights are always perfect. I have also been very happy with Rachael who has done my hair a few times over the years.
I highly recommend Stephanie and all the Ladies at Studio 34 for a great, stress free hair cutting/​coloring experience.

I have not had my haircut at Studio Thirty Four; however, Stephanie cut my hair for over eight years at her prior hair salon, before I relocated to San Francisco. Not only did Stephanie do my highlights and cut on a regular basis — she also did my hair up do for my wedding along with eight bridesmaids and a flower girl — she did a fantastic job. Not to mention doing my sister’s wedding four years later. It was always such a pleasure to have Stephanie do my hair, she had great suggestions and was flexible. I would not only recommend Stephanie for your regular haircuts, color, etc. — but for any special event as well. I miss Stephanie, and although it is hard to get out to Mill Valley with two small children for a haircut — I haven’t found anyone in SF that has her high level of customer service.

Love this salon. It feels warm and welcoming and personal. I have had two of the three stylists — Stephanie and Nicole — do my hair and have always left so happy! Wonderful style and color. Can’t say enough positive things about the Keratin treatment; except wish it had been available the day i was born — where have you been all my life!!!

Stephanie is a genius! The best color, the best cut … why go anywhere else?

I have been going to Nicole at Studio Thirty-​Four since the salon opened. Recently, I got the Keratin treatment done on my hair. I have curly, frizzy hair that usually takes me 40 – 45 minutes to straighten. When I finally got to wash my hair after the required 72 hour no-​wash, no-​sweat time period, I cried! My hair has NEVER looked better. It feels lighter. It is soft, shiny and so easy to style. I blew my hair dry and walked out the door. No straight iron!!! I feel like I have a hair style, not a poofy helmet on my head. I recommend this treatment to anyone who fears rain, mist, humidity. Nicole was a star. The treatment is one in which I will continue over and over again! Good-​bye Frizz!!! Thanks, Nic!

Nice little salon in downtown Mill Valley. The owner Stephanie is an experienced stylist and colorist who knows her stuff! If you are looking for someone new to to go to try Stephanie.

Great place! The stylist (one of the three owners) who did my hair did a great job of freshening up my cut and color, without altering the style too much. One star off for the prices, which I thought would be lower, as they are a new salon trying to attract customers.

I love Studio 34! I have been going to Stephanie Duenas for the last six years. She used to be at At the Top but has left and opened her own salon. It is the cutest place in the cutest neighborhood. Right in downtown Mill Valley. Parking is easy and they even have quarters on the desk in case you forget yours! She does the best highlights and haircuts. Everyone I send her way is always very happy. The other girls are great too. They have all been in the business for years. I always look forward to my next appointment and you will too!

Stephanie and the ladies at this salon are great! Even our son goes here and he says he gets the best haircut he has ever had… and he is 16! Thank you for always making us feel at home!
Love the location and the interior is beautiful too! Close to shops and great restaurants in case you want to make a day of it! Parking right in front too!
