This is an amazing and wonderful hike. Here is the website: Park across from the Mountain Home Inn. Trail head is right on the west side of the parking lot. Here are step by step directions for the trail: In essence you will start from the panoramic highway work your way down to the muir valley floor and than loop back up to the parking lot. You will enjoy waterfalls, redwood groves, fern grotos, step ravines with awesome views, cool bridge crossings, varied and interesting topographical changes. The hike is somewhat moderate with about 5 miles in distance and about 1000 feet in altitude descent and than back up… mucho stairs… you will break out a sweat… but it feels good. Especially good in warm weather as much of it is covered and will keep you cool. One of my favorite hikes right next to the matt davis steep ravine trail!!! If you plan on hiking on the weekend come early as parking gets tough after 10. Enjoy!
