Terrible service… ordering your food from them seem to be an inconvenience. The food presentations was almost as sloppy as the miserable lady serving the counter. Was never welcomed(Hi, welcome to McDonald’s how my I help today) to order food rather demanded my order from me…(what are you having) never took the time to even attempt to up sell me an offer me a drink or try get me to purchase the meal with my sandwich. Also waited around 5 mins before even spoken to did I mention there wasn’t any one in line… know I know Ronald isnt the most picky clown in the world an doesn’t hold the highest standards when choosing acceptable employees but there performance an professionalism would have even made a clown frown tonight. I don’t ask for a lot when i order food but I would appreciate being treated an addressed with respect an your appearance is clean an tidy would not recommend stoping here unless your in dire need

The Plaza as a whole was very cool, as it had multiple restaurants indoors so you don’t have to go wandering around from place to place. For those of you driving Teslas out there, they have two charging stations which I found awesome. Now, I had ice cream at a Baskin Robins/Moes?! I never saw that combination before but I decided to try it and was truly disappointed with the ice cream. First of all, their selection is about six items, secondly, I had a strawberry sunday and the strawberries caused this place a star because they were pink… PINK! and tasted weird. Last I checked strawberries were red and somewhat round and taste awesome. This looked like melted mush turned pink. I ended up going to the nearest garbage can and scooping out all that stuff and just ate the vanilla ice cream on the bottom. BUT back to the Plaza, the plaza is cool, big parking lot, and lots of restaurants and seating inside. They have a gas station, Tesla Station, McDonald’s, Moe’s, so called Baskin Robins, and like six other restaurants.

Ordered a hot sandwich, ended up with a cold sandwich from Dunkin Donuts. That place is understaffed(hence the long lines) and is in desperate need of better management. Customer Service was better before. Aside from that, good service station and clean bathrooms.

It’s a rest stop, what could you expect? It has a bunch of fast food and clean bathrooms, convenience store and a Carvel. Cleaner than most.

Came to Moe’s Southwest Grill here. I like that they have one. Your basic cafeteria style food plaza. I wish they’d had water there but at least the cherry Coke I had didn’t kill me. Not the cleanest place but not the nastiest either. Very much a «serve yourself» type operation.

The place was packed and all of the restaurants had huge lines. Not a fun experience, but to be expected heading toward NYC.

I definitely recommend Freshens at the northbound plaza. Great smoothies, amazing salads and crepes — yes crepes! Sort of a flatbread-like wrap sandwich, but on a fluffy, warm, delicious, crêpe. Much better than some of the heavier food you can grab along the road. You must try this! Just wish they had some small sides.

Need a break while trying to maneuver your way on 95 South on the way to NYC or further down south? This is One of the better service plazas in CT before you enter the craziness of NY traffic. Highly recommended. Here are a few highlights: They have Free wifi! Enough outlets to charge your devices if you don’t have a car charger in this day and age(a sample like me does not!). Connect to the free net given most cellular provides pretty much are depleted in coverage — everywhere. And check those tweets or Facebook updates or client emails(in the order of importance) etc etc. Citibank ATM. Outta cash. Here you go! Best buy express: Get that car charger if you still don’t have it News /Concessions store: very impressive. Kind lady at the counter with a smile on her face. Self serve Ice coffee stations with 4 flavor dispensers — give me some Irish Crème baby. Make my day despite the ride I dread — ahead. Plenty of food options: the good, the bad and the in between. Take your pick…(Not easy to get that kinda mix — must say — service plazas in CT rock in comparison to NY, RI, MA) Mcdonalds Sbarro Subway Dunkin Donuts Panda Express Carvel sandwiches Cheese boy Moe’s southwest grill Statement CT Gifts — now this one is for die hard CT lovers! In closing — FANTASTIC rest rooms(can vouch for Men’s for sure!). 5 stars simply because of the fact they are so clean — as clean can be, with motion sensor liquid soap dispensers at every sink(working too). I literally checked 3 of them because I couldn’t believe this was for real! I wish every public facility in the country will be like this —(insert Mariah — Boyz2Men song) — one sweet day.

Good place to break a long drive with a pretty broad selection of foods. Headed to the CheeseBoy because a bowl of chili is my favorite travel food(doesn’t involve bread, has protein an veggies — really, what more could you want?). Alas, this CheeseBoy has removed chili from its menu — so this is my plea: plea-se restore it to the menu! Kudos however to a good-humored and friendly staff(on duty Monday, Aug 11 at 2pm). That greatly helped cushion my disappointment.

As far as service plazas go, this one is pretty good. Looks new, is kept pretty darn clean, and has everything you need while you are on the go. It’s not as torturous or purgatorial as most service plazas on the East Coast.

This rest stop is located on both sides of the 95. My review is about the south bound. Places to eat are McDonalds, Sbarro, Subway, Dunkin’ Donuts, Panda Express, Carvel, Moe’s and Cheeseboy. Bathrooms are clean and store is well stocked with goods.

Finally getting to stretch your legs here is great! This service area is right off of I-95 and has a McDonalds, Sbarro, Subway, Dunkin Donuts, and an organic«good to go». The food is okay, and the bathrooms are very well kept!

Charging your Tesla made easy — Seriously, If I had a Tesla, this is a place where I could charge it :) For me cleanliness is key even if I am desperate for a break on a drive to Queens, NY. This place was indeed! There had to have been at least 4 people cleaning the entire 45 minutes we were there. There is a small convenience store and a few counter food options(including Subway, if that’s your poison) The restrooms were bring scrubbed top to bottom while we were there and the woman was friendly, meaning she didn’t scowl as you walked on top of the freshly mopped /dried floor. In the main«dining» area they actually were stacking chairs in the corner to give the gritty/sandy floor a good cleaning. They had the tile zamboni out! Love that thing. There was plenty of parking and the parking lot was clean too! If you must take a break, this is a great place to do it. Clean, with food options and a friendly staff.

Wow, much nicer and cleaner than the rest areas I’m used to(i.e. — along the NYC-DC corridor). I definitely like how it looked and felt like a «rest» area, that included a wall length table with outlets to plug in your electrical devices into such as your laptop or mobile device. Though I didn’t try it out, it advertises free wi-fi. The facility felt clean, and according to its website, was renovated last year. This ain’t no NJ truck stop, but it’s definitely a great place to pull off and recharge!

There are two things that are certain to see when driving through Connecticut, Mobil and McDonald’s. For years, when making the trip up to Rhode Island, I would try to grab something to eat prior to entering the state of Connecticut. If I didn’t I was stuck eating something at the convenient stores on the Merritt Parkway or McDonald’s on 95. When the renovations were taking place I was a little excited because, I knew there were going to be additional food options because most rest-stops do. I was not expecting the finish product. Sbarro, Moe’s Mexican Grill, and my favorite Cheese boy, are some of the eateries you will find here. McDonald’s is still there for all you Quarter pounder lovers; just cleanlier. I would love to see a Starbucks, but Dunkin is there to provide you with caffeine for that long ride, and my all-time favorite Carvel is there to satisfy that ice-cream fix. They are working on two other rest-stops on the 95 corridor

Stuck on 95 in Connecticut? Hungry? Cranky? Have to pee? This is your stop, friends. This one rises to the top among the many. They have pizza, wraps, burgers, salads, Mexican, sweet treats, gum, magazines and bottled beverages galore. Among the fast food stalls there are convenience stores and bathrooms, which are clean and large with plenty of stalls. Basically, this is a dream rest stop if you’ve been in traffic for hours and need to do anything else but sit in a hot, cramped car. The facilities are clean, too which is a HUGE plus for me. Who wants to pee in filth? Certainly not me.

My conception of service plazas was formed by my early years in NJ, where such places would likely be in an area surrounded by mafia burial grounds, not have enough bathroom capacity and have an eating area abundance of dirty diapers. It was therefore a refreshing and liberating experience to stop on I-95 yesterday and be presented with a clean almost airport like experience. No, not airport as in a TSA pat down line but rather the reward for the aforementioned grueling experience: a cornucopia of fast food choices, clean bathrooms and gift shops! There’s even a best buy kiosk if you want to purchase portable electronics. Are healthier options noticeably absent? Why of course but then again, there’s always a mcdonald’s salad. My poison was a 10 piece McNugget, split with my wife, that provided enough sustenance for the remaining journey back to Queens, NYC. The rest stop even has greenspace for walking pets. It could probably be used for walking humans too. All in all, a shockingly pleasant experience for the traveler along a busy stretch of asphalt. Just don’t expect to feast on anything healthy or from a non chain restaurant.
