I’m only giving one star because I can’t give zero. Came from 3 hours away for the Clay Walker concert. When I called and ordered my tickets, they asked if I wanted to reserve a table. It was $ 150 for a table«up front» that could seat 8 and then each person also had to purchase a general admission ticket at $ 30 each. I asked how close one was up front and was told it was close to the stage around the dance floor. I had never been there before and asked specifically if the dance floor would make it hard to see the stage and was told no, that you could easily see. I booked the table and we all bought our tickets, which meant between the cost of the table and all of us buying our tickets, we spent $ 360 total. The general admission people had to stand on the dance floor which meant they were literally right in front of the tables that all of us «up front» had paid $ 150 a table for and completely blocked the view of the stage. The only way to see was to get up and try to stand near the stage with people dancing and running into you. Security at one point during the opening bands said they would help make sure that the tables weren’t blocked once Clay Walker came on but when the crowd got thicker when he started and people were standing literally with their butts on the backs of our chairs, they said there was nothing they could do. Total waste of $ 150 for the table.

This review is based on a single country music concert– I liked the musician but was unable to find any info about what kind of venue La Hacienda is. You may find this useful. What you get for your ticket is admission to the building. It’s a large, open space– think a gymnasium or airplane hangar– with a stage at one end. Concrete floor, bars and merchandise concessions along the sides. No food– just beer and liquor, also water bottles. There is a smoking patio also. During the concert, girls circulated selling jello shots to the crowd. When we drove up to the main entrance, an attendant informed us that valet parking was available for $ 10. When I asked about alternatives, he said we could drive to the open field east of the entrance for free parking. Very dusty, but adequate. After entering the building, a woman asked if we wanted to buy a table. It was so loud I couldn’t hear the details, but they were apparently priced in the $ 150 – 300 range. We declined. The tables, which seat 8 – 10, were arranged in the back of the space. The space between the tables and stage was open. That’s where the vast majority of the crowd was, most standing, some dancing to the music. The music– we were there to see Josh Turner. The tickets said 8:00 p.m. The marketing material said«Doors open at 8.» We arrived a few minutes before 8. There was a lot of security outside and inside(despite the amount of alcohol sold, I did not see any rowdy behavior). The 1st warmup band started playing around 8:20. Probably a good band, and I have no objection to loud music, but the combination of volume and distortion was punishing to listen to. They played for a full hour. After 10 – 15 minutes for setup, the second warmup band came on. They were a little less distorted, but just as loud. Another hour or so, less punishing but still not pleasant to listen to. Finally time for Josh. He had a lot of equipment to set up, and after introduction by a local radio DJ, came on at 11:00. Josh’s set was a revelation– he was enjoyable to listen, sing along, and dance to. I don’t know if it was due to superior equipment, superior talent, better stagecraft, or a combination of these, but he proved that La Hacienda is capable of putting on a first class show, when they have first class talent. Will I go back? Probably, for the right performer, but I’ll drive directly to the free parking lot, and arrive around 10:30, packing a couple of bottles of water. Alternatively, go in with a group of 10 and buy a table. House rules: No in/out– once you’re in, you’re stuck. I saw a 51% sign on one of the bars in the back corner, so your CHL is no good. Again, this is based on a single experience. No guarantee that the policies will not change, or that what is punishing noise to me will not be music to your ears.

The urban cowboy event was held this past weekend. We purchased a VIP Lower Level table for 10 for 265. The event had a very good turn out and it was obvious they were not prepared for the number of tickets sold. Although I find it hard to understand since they had access to that information with number of tickets sold. We stood in line for drinks for an hour and still didn’t make it to purchase anything before they ran out of ice, ice buckets and cold drinks. They resorted to selling beer out of the box to lessen the line by grabbing an empty table by the bar which made things more disorganized and disruptive for nearby tables… Yes, ours was one of those tables. They were selling beer by the case which people were doing to avoid having to get back in line. The bull Rides and other events were disorganized and unavailable most of the time. It was basically stand in line and miss the dancing and events or dance and go thirsty and miss events. Also, restrooms had long lines because two of the stalls were non functioning early in the evening which left with three stalls available and all ran out of toilet paper by 9:30 pm. We left early… So it was a waste of money for as we never got to enjoy it as we should have. Never again!

Honestly this place is a diamond in the w tx rough! They haved primarily brought in hispanic concerts for the first year of being open but this year i see them bringing in Ryan Bingham Daddy Yankee Pitbull Kathy Griffin DJ Pauly D The venue is very modern, clean, and accomodating of over 3000 people. The stage is arguably better that that of the Wagner Noël’s 100 million dollar venue across the street. I would rather go to cancert that you can walk around, dance, and mingle… instead of sit in a uncomfortable chair anyways.
