Mr. Smiths Smorgasbord

You’ve seen this place several times if you’ve driven through middletown. It’s changed names (ownership?) several times in less than a year.
Went for a dinner buffet. it wasnt cheap. For the price I’d rather venture out to paxton street (Jumbo’s chinese). and the serving trays were mostly empty. and the food wasnt amazing. it wasnt BAD per se but I wouldnt recommend the place to anyone. I would re-​route them instead.
the gravy was almost as thick as the mashed potatoes and had lumps in them, closer to cottage cheese than liquid. there was prime rib… but you had to pretty much flag someone down and beg for it as if it were for special customer’s only. and it wasnt super amazing. though it wasnt bad.
the people were friendly. they had a decent amount of staff, which made me think if they spent more on food and less on staff. but the ambience was just lacking and nothing special seemed to be going for the place except if you’re going by there, it’s a convenient location. :oP
