I like this place because it’s extremely close to my house and opens later than the other Chinese restaurant that is nearby(Li Wan). However, the food here is NOT fresh! It does not taste good and the meat is old. I’m positive it is a family business, and the lady is extremely nice. She sometimes gives me a free drink but whenever I don’t have the lady taking my order, the son will charge me extra claiming«the promotion isn’t going on» though, I could go back tomorrow and the lady will charge me a lower price! Ridiculous.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. I tend to rotate through the same 4 – 5 dishes, so I can’t speak to the entire menu, but they have good soups and perfect lo mein, dumplings, and dim sum. The delivery typically takes 20 – 30 minutes and food arrives piping hot. I would steer clear of their Thai«specials,» but for Chinese food they are great.

Quick delivery. So how is it the egg rolls were cold? I expressly asked if the fried half chicken was fresh and not twice fried greasy. I was told it was fresh. It was old dried greasy chicken. The meat in the pork fried rice was dark from age also. I called back and told them I’d not be calling back anymore due to the poor quality of their food.

Disappointing after reading the reviews, but then again, why should I have standards for Red Curry or any customer service at a Chinese Delivery/Take Out establishment? We ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken(good), the Kung Pao Chicken combo(mediocre but slightly on the greasy side), and the Red Curry with Beef(terrible) — you’d think throwing in 3 stems of basil and pineapple chunks could give it any flavor, but haha couldn’t find any flavor in this watery curry dish. Not even a kick of spice? Again, my bad but its hard to find any Thai food in Bushwick sadly. Didn’t finish it because it was so bland… The only really enjoyable dish was the Crab Rangoon — which lived up to the reviews hype. Not greasy, crispy, and the filling was delicious! I had no issue with the delivery time, but they did forget our drink. When I called them, they knew immediately that it was our order was incomplete. When I asked if they were planning on deducting it from our bill or delivering it to us, he plainly replied, «We’ll deliver it to you next time you order.» Hahaha wait. what? that’s not the answer I was expecting? I asked if he was serious, and he said that they didn’t feel like coming back for their mistake. yeah, don’t worry about ever making a delivery trip back again.

Had the pad Thai, wilted gross looking basil and bean sprouts. It was waaaay to sweet for my taste. Not spicy enough. I really wish I took a picture, but on the upside the portion was huge but I didn’t finish it anyway. We also got fried rice that was tasty as all get out. Again huge portions.

Best Chinese around. For years they didn’t glad they changed that policy. Beef chow fun and fried cheese wonton are delish

I’ve ordered from them twice for delivery, and both times they have come über quick… I mean, like withing 10 minutes quick. The first time, I ordered General Tsao’s chicken for the dinner combo. The rice is quite good and not greasy. The chicken was a bit mushy and dry, but it was all white meat chicken. The taste was okay, but would have been better if crunchy and spicy. I don’t think there was any spice in it. The second time I decided to go the Thai route and ordered chicken Pad Thai… my standard dish to compare. They did get points for including a lime wedge(as some fakes include a lemon wedge), but the dish was horrible… even worse than from the Thai place about 10 blocks east, which was, to that point in time, the worst so far. The chicken was scarce and the noodles were swimming in sauce. The mung beans were mixed into the dish, so they were mushy. If you have a case of the munchies and need food delivered now, then it is okay… if you want to pick up, there is a place just a block west that is much better quality.

Food was very good. I tried the crab Rangoon because I read a Unilocal review about them, now I normally don’t like them but these were awesome! They actually had filling that you could taste! Also the delivery was super fast, I mean super fast!!! I will be ordering again

Top choice for the Neighborhood! One of the Best Choices on Grubhub for Middle Village. My Food was FRESH tasting and excellent portions for the prices. I ordered the White Curry Chicken, DELICIOUS! My husband ordered the Roast pork Egg Foo Young, not greasy or overcooked-gravy was delicious. We had Roast Pork Ends as an appetizer and it was just delicious! Soooo tender, amazing! I took a chance and hit DELICIOUS!

Disclaimer **I’m judging this place as a local Chinese takeout, where it excels. As far as I am concerned, the review is weighted against other takeout places, not against ALL Chinese restaurants, like say Shun Lee West or Joe’s Shanghai.** While I abhor the cliché, you really can’t judge a book by its cover. This is the local Chinese eatery my co-workers and I frequent and it’s not simply due to geography. The prices are low, the delivery is insanely fast and most importantly, the food is good. We routinely order lunch from Fong Kwan two or three times per month. Despite the speedy, free delivery, we tend to pick up our meals simply to sample fresh air. The secret to properly timing the 528 foot door-to-door walk is to order at the moment your hand touches the doorknob of your point-of-origin. I’m not kidding. If you place your order and then put your shoes on, find your keys, wallet and cash, your food will be cold when you get home. OK, this is somewhat hyperbolic, but the point is they cook FAST! We’ve only ordered off the Lunch menu, but every item has been delicious. The regular selections include General Tso’s Chicken, Bourbon Chicken, Shredded Beef in Hot Sauce. All are great.

Don’t be fooled by appearances. This is the best Chinese takeout in the area. It even rivals places in Flushing I’ve gone to. Everything I’ve ordered has been excellent and their pricing is very reasonable for the amount and quality of the food you are getting. Check out the«family dinners» specials on the menu. Can’t go wrong getting: 2 spare ribs, 2 egg rolls, 2 pints of soup and two entrees for just $ 22. My favorites? The white meat sesame chicken and the mei fun.

Surprisingly great! I haven’t tried this place in a few years. It was delicious. Salt and pepper shrimp was tasty and fresh. Probably had the best crab Rangoon in years and it came with a sweet and tasty dipping sauce. Wonton soup was terrific. Dim sum was a little salty but good and filled with meat. Fast delivery too! I will def order again!

I like this place because it seems to offer a couple of dishes that I don’t see in too many Chinese take out places around. Salt and Pepper shrimp, which is basically batter fried shrimp salted and peppers with onions and broccoli — simple and tasty. They also have Bourbon chicken which was chunks of boneless chicken tasted like it was cooked Chinese spare rib style. it was tasty but a little over done. Their dumplings are pretty good — overstuffed with a good flavor. Not so crazy about the General Tso/Sesame chicken dishes. Great wonton soup with plenty of flavor, dark broth, julienne cuts of pork and green cooked veges(spinach? dunno, but its good).
