I wish I could write 2 separate reviews– 1 for their products and 1 for their service. Let me start with saying their food and grocery is amazing! Always fresh and delicious! They also do take out lunches, daily made-really tasty, good price! However the service in a past few months is so terrible we will start getting polish goodies in other stores on Fresh Pond Road. I could get over the fact I come home with different cold cuts than I ordered, because the girls mixed up the order. It sucks, but it happens. Once, twice, then I started checking while still in the store. Ok. What I can’t get over is the fact the girls are eating the cold cuts they are cutting right in front of me-and other customers!!! No shame! Few slices to my order, few to their mouths, few for the other once who work there. I was really discussed. Still I gave them another shot few days ago-this time they not only picked slices of my fresh cut ham and fed themselves, the one who was helping me was coughing right at the cheese she was slicing, then picked a sausages I wanted with bare hands-no gloves and in the end dropped part of my order on the floor, picked it up like nothing happened and was going to sell it to me!!! Enough is enough! If I was working for the Health Department, they would be closed right now! The management really needs to step up and pay attention to their employees attitude and behavior.

While the quality of the food here has remained the same, the prices have gone up and portions have shrunken in the past two years. The stuffed cabbage lunch special that I mentioned in my previous review is now a bit more than $ 6.00 and comes with either one stuffed cabbage a side and potatoes or two stuffed cabbages and potatoes. I like this place, so I’ll keep going and I understand that they need to pay rent, but it does feel like a rip off. I go less frequently now.

This is probably one of the better delis on Metro. Inside you will find many hard to find European items. There is plenty of polish food and the homemade perogi are delicious. There are also plenty of other hot foods to choose from along with a nice looking desserts.
