This hotel is a dump. Especially for what you pay! We paid $ 220 for 2 nights. The only thing it has going for itself is there staff is really nice. Right away when we walked in we noticed our pillow cases. They had a yellowish tint to it and had stains on it. That made us wonder what the mattress looked like so we took the sheets off and there was a disgusting stain which looked like blood! We had baby wipes and luckily it wipes most of the stain off! So gross. The bathroom is so tiny, the door doesn’t even shut if your sitting down. The temperature of the shower is all over the place while you’re in it. Won’t be back to this place!

We used to stay here years ago, but they got really ratty. Then they got new management and started making improvements. They continue to improve each year we come. The rooms are all being nicely renovated, a guest laundry has been added, and the personnel are very friendly and helpful. They are open to and respond positively to suggestions for further improvements. Definitely a great value for the money.

Just had the pleasure of staying at this particular Red Roof Inn last Monday(6÷29÷2015). Can’t say I am a big fan of this chain but was passing thru from Chicago to Notre Dame & just needed a bed for 7 hours & a shower. Good news! If you are reading this w/in 6 months or so of my posting, the place has undergone a COMPLETERENOVATION! This means — new furniture, new beds & sheets, new bath /shower, new TV& carpet. EVERYTHINGINSIDETHEROOMSARENEW! Fresh paint job The $$ is right. Got a nice Denny’s for breakfast right across the street. Give it a shot. Staff real nice & easy to work with too.

Alex and Amanda were both lovely and accommodating during our stay. The furniture seemed new. Access to grass for dog walking. We’ve stayed in a lot of dog friendly rooms and this one was pretty nice.

Pro: Basic rooms for a decent price Pets welcome Door opens to your parking spot and grass to walk dogs Staff very friendly Great location for highway access Con: Rooms were tidy but not clean. Carpets in pet rooms should be cleaned occasionally I hate to complain about a place that takes pets, but these carpets were the kind of nasty that, when you exit the shower, you need to lay down towels all the way to your shoes. $ 49.99 is a fair price, but there’s similar class hotels nearby for $ 39.99. Efforts have been made to update rooms. Adequate flat screen TV’s, wifi was free and mostly ok, bathroom floors are newish laminate, beds are comfortable enough(but could use more pillows), water pressure is good. Bottom line: Would I stay here if we weren’t travelling with dogs? Answer, not a chance. Which is too bad because with a better cleaning régime this could be a very nice budget motel. Steam clean the pet rooms once a week on a dead day and you’re back in the game guys!

Ick, never again! Stinky, dank, smoke smelling stuffy place. People were up all night partying, its clear there are like 16 people packed in a room, it was scary to say the least, I slept with one eye open. Lets put it this way, I took a shower just because we were at the beach all day and I still didn’t feel clean afterwards… eeewwww! Oh and the girl at the front desk upon check in, charming to say the least, give me a break! There arent many choices to stay in this dying little town, but definatly do NOT stay here!

I thought I would be totally disgusted by this place. And I was worried when 10 minutes into my stay, a 6-person screaming match/fight broke out at the gas station below my room. But in the end, I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at the Red Roof. Is it luxurious? NO. Were the pillows a bit too bulbous? Yes. The Internet wasn’t great – I couldn’t do my Zuzka Light workouts on YouTube due to slow speed. But no cockroaches or mystery stains here. The curtains kept light out, unlike curtains at most other motels. Had there been a better assortment of teas offered in the registration office, this place would have earned 5 stars, easy(Lipton=ew).
