I hate to let folks in on my little secret but I wouldn’t be a Unilocaler if I didn’t. Tucked away in the rear of the busy and newly re-​energized Northside Shopping Plaza. is Xtreme Gym. Getting back into the gym scene has been a long thought out process, but I finally chose this gym. One of the things that appealed to me was the monthly fee, rather than a contract… who needs that anymore?
It’s a family owned, perfectly well equipped and maintained gym. Because of the large number of weights and machines, there is never a major wait time to use any of them. I was pleasantly surprised that this gym is not just a guy’s gym and I always see other women there when I go.
If you want all of the fluff of sauna’s, swimming pools and indoor tracks, this isn’t that gym. But rest assured that if you are seeking a solid work out… you can get it here!
