Although the food is good in tosca bakery, the fact that you can stand there for over 20 minutes without anyone acknowledge the fact that all you want is un café con leche y una tostada or just to be told“hi good morning i will be right with you” this has happened each time i have attempted to order in this bakery… Unless you are known by the ladies that work there you will be IGNORED and made to feel unimportant. I am a little havana local and this place has horrible customer service. LASTTIME I WILLCOMETOTHISESTABLISHMENT!!!

these ladies have terrible customer service. they take their sweet time and talk amongst themselves, I waited 10 mins for someone to attend me and when someone came in after me and they attended them first knowing I was standing there really pissed me off, I went ahead and ordered a pan con croqueta, it was disgusting. she put extra cheese which I did not ask, which made it greasy and over powered the entire sandwich and I couldn’t even taste the croquetas. this took another 20 mins of waiting for a total of 9.00!!! what??? I paid it cuz I wanted to get the heck out of there, I don’t think I will come here again

On a recent visit to MIami, we wanted to get a taste of Calle 8. We looked at different bakeries and stopped at this one. It is clean, the people are friendly and the food is awesome. You cane xperience an authentic Cuban Café con Leche. The pastries we tried were delicious. They call it Palmeritas, whch is a Palmieri(heritage from French colonies in America) which was probably the best I have had ever. Highly recommended

The pastelito the carne was good, and fresh, but the service was subpar. During the time I was there, the bakery was quite busy, and yet the ladies behind the counter did not appear to be in any particular hurry. Instead of helping other customers while the kitchen prepared certain orders, the employees would stand staring into the kitchen. I waited a solid 15 minutes«in line» without even being acknowledged. I use the term«in line» loosely, because the employees were not attending customers in any particular order. Individuals who walked in after were getting helped. I’m sure there a dozen better or comparable bakeries in the Little Havana area, so if you see a line at this one, I would keep movin’ or prepare to wait a long time.

Just had Cuban coffee here. Wakes me right up. I love that it is already sweet and I don’t have to add anything to it. Just what I needed for my last day in MIA !

Of all the Cuban bakeries we’ve ordered birthday cakes from, this one is by far our favorite. The cake was beautifully decorated, fresh and moist. The cream filling and icing were delicious. The cost was excellent, also. My wife loves cake and she’s already thinking of when our next occasion to order party food will be, so we can order the entire party package. If everything else is as delicious as our cake was, I’m getting excited about our next occasion, too. :-)

Decent, mediocre pastries and average coffee. Very nice staff and many Cubans are always in there buying bread, so it’s legit. I do believe the medianoche sandwiches are the cheapest around at $ 3.25, so I usually hit it up in that hood.

This is just an average, Spanish-language only bakery. Don’t come if you don’t speak Spanish as they will just ignore you — they ignored my English-only friend. On the very outskirts of Calle Ocho, this bakery uses its proximity to Downtown and Brickell to take in those that may be ignorant of the fact that there is much better out there. The prices are reasonable and the flavor was okay. I ordered two boxes of sweets for my office and took them in. To me, it tasted like they tried to make up for a lack of flavor with additional sweetness. If not for the prices and locational convenience, I may have rated lower.

Delicious pastelitos but horrible service. They are quite rude but have been going there for years for the pastries. Oh and I ordered Cuban coffee from them a few times and each time they gave me some room temp old coffee so I wouldn’t recommend that. So to sum it up, good pastelitos, horrible service. The service is so bad that I must give them 2 stars.

After visiting almost every bakery on 8th street, this one is by far the worst. After dinner last night we had a sweet tooth. We walked into this bakery, the cases were displayed with many sweet options. My husband speaks Spanish but with Italian flair, so most of the time it is never a problem for us. The lady behind the counter was so rude when she walked up to us. Spanish speaking only, she kept asking hubby to repeat himself. Then as I am ordering a few desserts, she wants to know how many, so of course I know my numbers in Spanish so I begin to tell her. She is rolling her eyes, banging my food very abruptly on the counter. Every bakery in this area we have ever gone into, the language barrier has never ever been a problem. She obviously had a major problem with the fact that hubby did not speak proper Spanish. I did order a café con leche and it was good, the desserts were decent but I will never go back. There was a customer in there the entire time and when we went to leave, he could tell I was not happy by the way she treated us, so he kindly opened the door and smiled. Cash only, no credit cards. I will stick to all the other wonderful bakeries in the area, with great service and much better dessert selections.

Before I get anywhere else in this review, I can’t go on without telling you that I wish I could bathe in their dulce de leche. It’s absolute decadence. Thick, creamy, rich, sweet: a small fraction of the adjectives that swirl in my head when thinking about it. We had a flaky guava pastry which was also quite heavenly. I can’t say I’ve had all of their delicacies, but I can’t wait to try more. There was no lack of selection; the varieties abound. If a good bedroom romp ends with a cigarette, a good Cuban dessert ends with a cafecito… which at Tosca, was as good as they come.

I think this is one of the worst bakeries in little havana actually in Miami. The pastelitos and croquetas are blah and the bread isn’t nice and soft. I do like the café con leche here though, so because of that they get two stars.

I can’t believe that someone has actually reviewed the bakery… incredible. So, I hope I’m not biased when I say this bakery is great! You might say I sort of grew up here… They have these excellent eclairs with vanilla frosting dried on top and chocolate stripes(sort of like a zebra cake). Their croqueticas are amazing along with their very delicious pastelitos de guayaba. They even serve lunch foods and sandwiches if you’re interested. And, let me not forget, they’re very amazing pan cubano, wohoo! It’s great for parties and event planning if you’re interested in ordering some Cuban delicacies… good, to the point, and fairly priced.

Tres leches – just a dollar. That’s so reasonable. Anyways, Spanish speaking only. Lots of busy restaurants on Calle Ocho near this area, many geared towards the locals I would say. If you’re adventuresome, try it out.
