Top Burger

We came by on Sunday around 11p. Hours say they are open until 2am. Super frustrating.

If your in the downtown area, looking to sink your teeth into a great burger… Top Burger is one of best burger joints I have found. From the moment you walk in the owner and his staff make you feel like you all grew up together. The selection keeps you from having a favorite. The ingredients are always fresh and the vibe makes you want to keep coming back. I highly recommend it, you will thank me later.

If you want a mean, tasty, fresh AND have a cooked-​to-​order burger. Go to this place. Blue cheese on my burger? Please and thank you. Not lying, Five guys use to be my spot, but NO Blue cheese and I can’t get my burger how I want it– which is bloody red RARE. Reasonably priced and unlike My old Fling, I can go on my diet days because it has lighter options like salad or a grilled chicken sandwich. AND I can add blue cheese to everything (that’s still dieting right?)…
Cool, old-​school décor and vibe, reminds me of Mel’s Diner in California. Or that charming movie with Kenan & Kel (good burger anyone?). On sunny days, you even have the option of sitting outside.
Small thing but I appreciate: the option of a fountain soda OR bottled soda. Nothin more annoying than being on the run and having to juggle a cup, so keep that please.
Back of house staff is friendly and attentive. I jokingly asked to make sure my burger was RARE; they actually acknowledge me, smiled, and yes, it came out how I liked it. Gentleman behind the counter is always cheery, friendly, and easy on the eyes.

I would’ve probably given them a 4 star rating had they not messed up my order AND then didn’t refix it properly. I ordered a burger with mustard, pickles, & onions only. I was given a burger with cheese and ketchup on it in addition to what I requested. I instantly told the cashier my order was wrong. He took it to the back & came back with a new bun & they tried scraping the cheese off the burger patty. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. What if I was allergic to cheese? They didn’t offer to fix it again (I showed them the cheese spots and told them I’m NOT STUPID). It was a clean, nice burger joint, but not sure I’d go back. They obviously don’t understand English very well.

Great burger simple and fresh. The fries are awesome old school style like the ones you mom makes. Can’t understand some of the negative reviews that the place was a unclean seemed fine to me. Its a burger bar with an old school vibe which is kind of refreshing considering every fast food joint today is trying look like a chipotle or shake shack. I highly recommend this place for a burger when in downtown Miami.

If you know me at all, you’re u know I’m a Burger freak, I love all kinds of burgers, so today I tried Top Burger. I just happened to be in the area, so it wasn’t a planned visit or anything and it was lunch time… Just coincidence!
When I arrived to the door, it was kind of empty, but I went in anyway and I was glad I did!
I asked the guy what was their best burger, because if you go to a burger place you need to know what the establishment believes to be their best item… Right? Anyway, he recommended the Bacon Cheeseburger, so I ordered it with Lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, top burger sauce, ketchup… (FYI — the lettuce is shredded and the tomatoes are diced), the bread is a potato bread. Oh! And a side of Sweet Potato Fries.
The burger was cooked to perfection, the bacon was crispy and the taste of the Top Burger Sauce was phenomenal! No idea what’s in the sauce, but I did feel a kick in it… The sweet potato fries were crispy and yummy!
The only negative comment is that the facility looks a bit run down, but not taking any stars away for that because everything in downtown in run down!

$ 13.00 dollar minimum without tax? What??? That limits my options too two exact things that i don’t even want, it doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. Forget this, im ordering from somewhere else…

Just left because there were roaches crawling everywhere… food was great however it was not sanitery. Fuck that place.

First time coming here to the downtown location based on a recommendation from a buddy and Unilocal.The place is very clean and the guy up front taking the orders is very friendly. I ordered the cheeseburger with pretty much everything on it and it was delicious. I also ordered the sweet potato fries, which were good but we’re a little bit over cooked and for the price,$ 2.99, I didn’t feel like I got a fair serving (see pic). I will be back.

The food is good, we loved our chicken burgers and fries. Do try tgeir special sauce. Fun quotes on the bathroom walls. And the owner is a very nice guy from NYC

We were walking in downtown looking for a spot to eat lunch then we stumbled upon this place. I ordered a double cheeseburger and it was amazing. I also had the sweet potato fries that were incredible. The owner recommended this chipotle sauce but I had it on the side because it has a little spice to it. When the food arrived I dipped a fry in the sauce then poured it on my burger. I highly recommend this place! Inexpensive, good customer service, and food came out quick

Definitely a top notch burger spot. They cook your burger to perfection as well as having amazing flavor. They also make the burgers with fish or chicken that haven’t gotten to try but heard was pretty good. I also do recommend the chili cheese dog its simple delicious. Restaurant is pretty big plenty of places to sit and enjoy your meal definitely a place to come and eat.

Went to the location down town. Good burger average service. After one bite I realized the onions I ordered were missing. But they made it right. If you’re looking for a place to grab a good burger, fast, then I recommend this place. Not the cleanest place but decent nonetheless.

Very good burger and the hand cut french fries are outstanding. The place looks like an old dingy burger joint from the 1950s. It needs updating and the owner said that he is going to remodel very soon. He agreed the look needed updating.
Like a lot of downtown restaurants, they are only open until 5pm. I would recommend checking it out and keeping an open mind on the appearance of the place until it is remodeled. The food is very good!

How can anyone give this place anything but one star.

I LOVE TOPBURGER! The quality of the food is amazing, the sauces, the sweet potatoe fries and regular fries are delicious and the price is simply unbeatable!
The service and ambiance are fantastoc too. i love theyre south beach and midtown locations!

Get a shake PLUS regular and sweet potato fries. Don’t skip out on the Top Burger sauce, it is GOLD. Load up your burger/​cheeseburger/​veggie burger with all the free toppings your little heart desires and sip your delectable chocolate shake while you wait. You won’t be disappointed.

I had the southwest chicken sandwich («southwest» means «with BBQ sauce, cheddar, and bacon» — truly a weird name for this sandwich). Also a Mediterranean salad.
The southwest chicken sandwich was very good. Nice balance of ingredients and I appreciated their substantial list of additional (free) toppings to add. Tasted very fresh.
Mediterranean salad was fair. Generous with the feta, which makes me happy. But the lettuce was the shredded ‘burger topping style’ lettuce, which will put off some. Also, the dressing choice here was apparently ranch? Strange, but I’m a little odd and will often eat at Mediterranean salad without dressing, so I didn’t sweat this. In the future I’ll come to Top Burger on a day when I’m in the mood for fries.
Service was absolutely exceptional. Very friendly. Really, really top notch service which exceeded my expectations (and is what gives this review the extra bump into four stars).
