This is my spot when I want a good gyro. As a matter of fact when I want Greek food period. The price is reasonable and the food has a very addictive taste. The lamb, the platters just everything about this little gem in the middle of downtown is just awesome.

If you want good, filling, well-priced food then this is the place to go. Stoupsy’s is a gem which I am really happy to have discovered, mainly due to my friend who is the biggest advocate and gets lunch there almost every day of the work week. But ask anyone who’s waiting in line(this place gets packed during lunch, which should give you a pretty good indication of the quality of the food already) and they’ll rave about Stoupsy’s as well. I recommend the lemon potatoes — tangy and bursting with flavor, and the spanakopita — warm and comforting, but I think pretty much everything on the menu is a winner. Not only is the food great, but so is the staff. The owner is incredibly kind and it’s a pleasure to interact with him, he really cares about his customers. Delicious menu options, great prices, and a warm staff — this is how you keep people coming back for more.

This is not fancy. It is a little hole in the wall. I was staying around the corner at the Viceroy Hotel and went out for a walk– I was catching a cruise the next day. We walked by this place at lunch time. We both love greek food. It was the best moussaka I have ever had. Hearty, cheesy, creamy, meaty, spicy. I would come back here every time I am in Miami for the moussaka– I have never had anything that even comes close.

Meal: Lunch Number of Persons: 1 Approximate Bill: $ 11 Drink: Water Food: Gyro Platter — Good Dessert: None Stoupsy’s is a staple of the Downtown Miami business lunch crowd. They have a variety of authentic Greek dishes(gyro, souvlaki, spanakopita, etc.) that are typically served with choice of two sides — I typically get the«platter» which includes greek salad, and lemon potato wedges. The staff is incredibly friendly and fast; you’ll be pleased to see any perceived line melt away through ruthless efficiency from the cashiers, cooks, and support staff. This review also gives me the opportunity to provide a bit of background on my Unilocal rating system. Stoupsy’s is not fine dining. The food, while enjoyable for a Tuesday lunch would not be considered high-end nor would it win any contests. BUT! I have given them a 5-star Unilocal rating because they perfectly fulfill the culinary requirements I ask them too. When I go out to lunch, I know Stoupsy’s will be tasty, quick, fairly healthy, and won’t break the bank. I will always recommend them to co-workers, clients, or friends in the area looking for the same thing. 5-star reviews from this profile signify a restaurant that I will always recommend. 4-stars are very good but, in my opinion, would not appeal to a broad range of patrons. 3-stars have merit but did not fulfill all of my requirements. 2-stars probably offended me in some way. And, I hope I never had to give a restaurant 1-star. Stay tuned! Final Recommendation: Stoupsy’s of Athens is your classic neighborhood lunch spot. It knows exactly what its customers want and does an outstanding job meeting those needs.

This has been my go to lunch spot for years. Everything is delicious. Their specials really are for the most part. Helpful and fast service. Love it!

I stopped here for lunch after a friends recommendation… It’s not a place I would have even noticed but so glad I came. The chicken kebob sandwich was delicious! The chicken and vegetables inside the pita tasted fresh, the yogurt sauce was bursting with flavor… It’s on my list of lunch spots in the Brickell area. It’s a hole in the wall place but the prices are so reasonable. It gets packed during lunch hours so make sure to come on a day where you are not on a time crunch.

Been going here for lunch for years. Its usually packed at lunch time and just a tiny postage stamp of a place, but the food is fresh and delicious. I always get the chicken kabob platter, comes with yummy lemon potatoes and Greek side salad. The flatbread is to die for. The only thing that they could improve upon is the tzaziki sauce. I wish it was thicker and had more cucumber essence, like the sauce at Mykonos(which is the best I’ve ever had). The spinach pie is also excellent, and my friends always get the gyros and love them also.

Based on my latest experience, it seems they are somewhat inconsistent and can deliver some decent meals, while others are unremarkable. Their salads are pretty good and priced reasonably, but if you dislike red wine vinegar, then steer clear of their salads, because their dressing is quite heavy on it. I do think that they could improve on their seasoning(add more oregano, salt and olive oil to the dressing, and add garlic to the tzatziki sauce, since I could not taste any garlic in it at all), but other than that, it’s quite a decent lunch option. I probably would still think twice about ordering the half-baked chicken though, unless they have changed chefs since my last experience.

Just stopped in to satisfy my stomach’s hungry demands before having to rush out to catch my afternoon lab. The menu is short and offers a brief explanation of the foods that they offer. I scanned the menu briefly before setting my mind on getting the greek gyro. They delievered my request unbelievably fast and sent me out the door(the good olé’ american way) with the most tastiest gyro I have ever had. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a quick, tasty bite to eat!

This was one of the best gyros I’ve ever had! I stubbled into this place looking for a quick bite before roaming around the city. There was a pretty good crowd for lunch which is usually a good sign. We had a traditional gyro and a chicken gyro. They were wonderful! The gyros were the perfect size, not too big compared to most places. The ingredients were fresh and the tzatziki sauce was on point! Overall: Great spot! I will definitely return my next trip to Miami.

For a quick greek lunch downtown, Stoupsy’s of Athens is the place to go. There’s usually a good line during the lunch rush, however they are very good at moving people along and because of this traffic, you know the food is never just sitting around. Service(5⁄5) — Quick. How can you go wrong when you can get good food quickly. The staff are always courteous and in my experience always ask if you need forks, knives, napkins etc. They have two lines, one for cash and one for everything else. Food(4⁄5) — The food is consistently good. My only comment is that the feta cheese at times gets a bit funky. Perhaps its just my palate. Either way aside from the cheese issues, the food is always flavorful. Thus far I have had all the«sandwiches» as well as their split pea soup, gyro plate and lemon potatoes. You really cant go wrong with any of the items. I would say if you are hungry, the gyro plate is great… its filling. Ambiance(4⁄5) — Well its a small environment and theres really nothing to write home about. Its a good place to sit for 15 min and have a quick lunch. Most of the time I get everything to go. No major complaints. Over all this place is great and i would recommend it for any one looking for a quick lunch spot in the downtown Miami area.

Gyros gyros gyros! Stopped there for lunch and to my surprise it was a small Greek resteraunt. I had a gyro and it was beyond any gyros I have eaten in my life time. Everything was portioned right from lamb to yoghurt sauce to lettuce and tomatoes. I recommend this to anyone who’s hungry or even trying to get a light snack. This is a gem resteraunt that everyone should try. Side notes– great gyros $ 6.95. This place doesn’t like it could hold more than 30 people.

Truly legit. I have eaten at many Greek places. First it’s a smooth operation. They have 2 lines with orders anticipated. You order and next thing you know you’re order is flying toward your face, almost. It’s that fast. The gyro is amazing. Taste, texture, price, speed & intensity. Carry on! Sergeant Jocson

This Downtown staple lives up to its reputation. Recently moved in to the neighborhood but traveling so much, I hadn’t had time to hit a grocery store(but when I did… review forthcoming…), I needed food that was nearby, cheap(er) and delicious. I’d heard of Stoupsy’s but didn’t know what to make of it. That was mainly due to the name. One hot Thursday, I wandered the streets in search of nourishment when, all of a sudden, it hit me: I want a gyro! The restaurant sits on 1st Street in one of those outcroppings that die as soon as the sun sets. Again, being new to the neighborhood, I didn’t know what to look for at the time, so I passed it. Twice. Once I finally got my wits about me, it was time to partake in some good eats. The menu isn’t large but you don’t need it to be. You’re here for a gyro — get the sandwich or platter and keep it moving. I walked in, ordered the sandwich, engaged in same pleasantries with the woman behind the counter(she was genuinely nice; I was thrown), grabbed my sandwich and headed back to my apartment in the sky-igh-igh. The gyro was all that(but I should have gotten a bag of chips to go with it). It was packed with meat and vegetables and, in a strange twist, it was loaded with feta cheese. It was an unusual move but I liked it. Again, the sandwich was generously packed with fillings and eating it alone was more than enough to satisfy my appetite. In a city where trends and businesses come and go, Stoupsy’s has earned its reputation and longevity. The star rating is well-earned.

Stoupsy’s is one of your better choices for a good, quick, and cheap downtown lunch. And there are reasonably healthy options too. I’m a big fan of their vegetable sides — the mixed vegetables are my favorite, and eggplant also very good. My go-to is their char grilled chicken chunk platter with vegetables. Their catering is also a very good choice for a not-fancy office lunch.

Stoupsy’s is one of my favorite Downtown lunch spots! The food is great and I’m pretty sure the guy behind the counter runs on jet fuel, since he’s taking orders, running cards and getting food out at about 500 mph. Stoupsy’s is packed pretty much every day, but don’t be afraid when you see the line becasue it always moves super fast. The cash lines is always shorter than the credit card line, so if youre really in a hurry, make sure to have cash on hand. I’m a huge fan of the gyro sandwhich. There’s a ton of meat and toppings, slathered in the yummy yogurt sauce & wrapped up in a fresh slice of pita bread. My coworker loves the gyro platter and for just a couple dollars he gets a nice sized platter with meat, salad, some taters and a pita. Even though it’s a bit warm outside, it’s always shady at lunch time and there’s a nice breeze from the Bay. I especially enjoy watching the all the downtown working peeps pass by while I make a huge mess with the yogurt sauce from my yummy sammie.
