11.50 for 1 main entry and two sides… I can make food at home and it will taste better.

It’s true the majority of the customers that come in here, work in the building that this restaurant is located in… And some may argue that they only come in, because it is conveniently located on the first floor of the office building… But would you honestly return to a restaurant if it weren’t good? It’s true that this place can get a little pricey… $ 11 for a petite sliver of salmon and two sides?! A little ridiculous for my taste, but everything I’ve eaten here is delicious. If you’re in a hurry, they have pre-made sandwiches and salads, you can also have them freshly made and toasted. They have an assortment of hot foods, mostly Hispanic food. The manager/owner is such a character. He wears cute hats(pizza hats, chicken hats, burger hats). You name it, he most likely owns the head gear! They offer free wifi, which is perfect for some(me) who enjoy netflixing on their lunch hour. I really enjoy the food and atmosphere here. TIP: you can also call in!

I’m disappointed and I like to share it with my Unilocal people I’ve been working in this building for over a year and I’ve been having the same wheat bread toast for the last oh i don’t know, MONTHS? and then all of the sudden this week they have decided they cant sell it to me anymore. they only tell me that that bread is only coming out for lunch and that they don’t have it. I know where they store it and I’m betting there is bread there for me! the coffee is ok, the food is expensive and the line is always long. pretty much is just convenient when your in a rush.

It is located in my building. I like the convenience and the food is pretty good. the only thing I do not like is the line you must wait to get some food. The sandwiches are ok and the cafecito is good. They do have a frequent buyer program but I have not reached the amount or visits to enjoy the perk. Net net. Convenient

So, this is the cafeteria on the bottom floor of the building I work for… the HP building on Blue Lagoon Drive. As I usually don’t get to go out for lunch, most days I stick to running downstairs and getting some food to go… Previously, this café was a dump to say the least; although I only experienced the old owners for a few months when I began working here, I hear the food was terrible and it was a rip off. What a nice surprise when the new owner took over… the food is amazing! They offer two varieties of food… the cold food vs. the hot food. In regards to the cold food, they provide fresh deli-made sandwiches. While I usually enjoy the Ham and Cheese sandwiches on wheat, I highly recommend the Blue Lagoon Club sandwich. It’s absolutely delicious! with fresh bacon and all. All sandwiches are offered with a side salad option(pasta salad, green salad, or potato salad). If you’re in a rush, they have sandwiches prepared for on-the-go. As for the hot food, it varies on a daily basis, but has impressive specials including arroz imperial, baca frita, chicken fricasse, and tilapia. All hot food choices are served with two sides(you choose from rice, beans, sweet plantains on some days, or green salad). All this and a little bread on top. It’s a great amount of food for the value(under $ 10). As a plus, the owner has a great disposition and truly seeks customer satisfaction. He even goes table by table and ensures that you are enjoying your meal! And, if you’re in the mood, they also serve coffee(cortaditos, expressos, etc.) and desserts. What a wonderful place!
