We order from her at least once a week. They have great food, the staff are very friendly and our take out orders are always ready within 15 minutes. The only thing negative I can say is that some of the customers are extremely rude and think that they are more important than anyone else. But, the restaurant can’t control who goes there. Overall it is a good place and we will still be back!

This place is quite delicious. Empanadas crispy and light. Hawaiian empanada super satisfying. Guava pan de Bono — a nice twist to the normal pan de Bono. Service — quick and very polite. Place is clean. I like!

Did not speak any English. Could not order what I wanted and they seemed more interested in having conversations with the other customers than assist me with my order. The pastries were good, but honestly you can get those all across Miami. If you’re not fluent in Spanish, I’d skip this spot.

I visited Panaderia 20 De Julio for a quick breakfast. I had the Huevos al Gusto, Calentado de Frijoles which was scrambled eggs with diced tomato, rice and beans and a grilled tortilla with cheese. The food was basic, had a decent flavor and was fairly priced. Overall, it is a decent option for breakfast if you happen to be in the area.

This was a really great breakfast. I had the huevos al gusto calentado de frijoles with with hot chocolate to drink. It was absolutely fantastic! Everything. My friend thought so too. The hot chocolate was great with just a touch of sweetness. We also got some empanadas to try. WOW!!! They were amazing. In fact I’m going back soon to try more things in the menu. If you haven’t tried this place get here yesterday!!!

Great empanadas. Stopped here after the Miami zoo with the kids for a late lunch. The guy that helped us explained what was in everything

For the empanadas by itself, I still prefer the bakery by the palmetto and Calle Ocho. They are good here, but it’s missing that aroma that I often associate the empanadas with. Go to the other bakery, and you’ll know what I mean. Excellent salsa hogao — eat the empanadas colombianas(chicken or beef) with these here. And I’m not usually a fan of the sauce. As for the other things, the chicharrones are decent. Pan de yuca and tequeños I thought were made well. Couples well with their well-made coffee.

I have been coming to 20 de julio for over 10 yrs with my parents, my brother and now with my husband and have brought many friends all these yrs to try THE very best empanadas in all of Miami! The owners are very nice gentlemen & the menu has just kept expanding and it is great. Everytime we come here the empanadas are consistent, crispy, perfect mix of meat & potatoes(others out there, all u taste is the potatoes). And everytime we are in the area we make a point to always stop by. You all u should do the same ps. The salsa de aji to go with the empanadas is equally as amazing!

Some of the best home style cooked Colombian food available. El calentao is always great as well as the enpanadas. Very homie feel.

I’ve been coming to this bakery since i was very young and I absolutely LOVE their empanadas! And the sauce that goes along with it. Also their Pan de BOno is always so soft and cheesy. Never hard and stale. The workers are very sweet. I live on the beach now and none of those Colombian spots compare ! This will always be my favorite !!

I’ve been coming here for years. They have the best Arepas and deditos around. Service could be better. But I’ve come to the conclusion that most Hispanic/island restaurants lacks good customer service.

I’ve been here a few times and each time I wonder why I come back. Their service is terrible and the ladies that work there are rude beyond believe. The arepa de choclo is the only good thing about this place. Will not be going here anymore.

This place has amazing food. The empanadas are the best I have had in Miami. All of the breads are delicious and freshly made. The homemade hot sauce is great. The store front is small so it’s best to take it to go. The owner works the counter and is very service oriented, as well as the rest of the staff. Great Colombian food and great service.

Excellent food! We were a large group and raided this busy Colombian bakery. Our favorite was the Calentado with huevos fritos y arepa. Be careful, the portion is huge! Definitely enough to share. The avena, pan de bono, pan de yuca and empanadas are all delicious. Get in here and try it!

I can truly say that I have tried many. many …Colombian places but this one is just right on point! We have been customers since they opened and to be honest, we go so much that they know what we like. The empanadas are super crispy, the bunuelos are full unlike some other places where they are not filled right. The fruit juices are yummy also, my fave is mango. My newest addiction is the guava filled pan de bono – WOW!!! You can also find the traditional snacks from back home like mani moto, cocosette, bon bon bum etc… They will also make smaller portions of the bunuelos and empanadas if you order them for parties, very accommodating. You can also get breakfast aka calentado that is to die for… The staff is super friendly, the owners are from Pasto– always greeting you with a smile! MUST try…

Located in the far end of a nondescript, cookie cutter shopping center by Metro Zoo lies one of the best empanadas I have ever had. I ended up here because I wanted to bring some snacks to a friend’s place and hadn’t planned anything to get until I was around the corner. Thankfully, I saw a Colombian Bakery sign and knew I could get something decent. I ended up getting; Tequeños– Flaky outside, gooey flavorful cheese inside, without being greasy Carne Empanadas — Crunchy fried corn dough wrapped around savory, spiced ground beef Pan de Bono — first time having these, but have had a similar Brazilian bread. Slightly sweet, dense dough but with plenty of cheese in the middle. Fried yuca stuffed with Carne Mechada — Moist shredded beef inside a crispy yuca dough, a little bit big to eat on its own but it was great to split with friends Pastelito de Pollo — Round corn dough pastry filled with shredded chicken. The chicken was a little bland but great when topped with salsa. The bakery has a full breakfast and lunch menu, with sandwiches and entrees. I only regret not trying the Arepa de Choclo and the Tamales. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and the space was small but clean and cutely decorated. I will be back ASAP.
