**CASHONLY** Miami lacks Asian cuisine(Sushi Samba DOESNOT count) and MOMI’s prices reflect that shortcoming. The menu and the orders are taken on a paper list, similar to a sushi restaurant. Prices are $ 27 – 32 for a bowl of ramen — there aren’t any additional toppings(example: corn, butter, extra noodles, etc.) available either. Even though the bowl is large, the soup is bone marrow based, and the meat and noodles are plentiful, but I still can’t get over paying $ 30 for a bowl of ramen. However, I’ve had better ramen elsewhere. We ordered the gyoza which turned out to be 10 pieces for $ 17. We also ordered the kara age as an appetizer, but instead of letting us know that it wasn’t available, she just crossed it out on our paper. Including sodas, our total came out to be around $ 80. They provide complimentary water bottles instead of tap water(yay!). The service is slow since there’s only one server for the entire restaurant.

Ramen was really good. Yes it’s expensive but the portions are large enough to split with another person for sure. The service was fine too-you just have to let them know you’re there. Could definitely recommend!

Legit just made a Unilocal account just so I could write a review on this place. I ordered the ‘chicken’ ramen and I’m pretty sure they served me skinned mice. I am so freaking grossed out by this that I’m seriously considering going vegetarian. And can we talk about the prices… $ 45 for soup & gyoza?! Absolutely absurd. Not only was that the biggest waste of money but I am now scarred for life. Thanks

For us it was ok since we didn’t wait that long but that’s only because we got here early. I still give this place a 2 star becuz the service is horrible. No waiting list, people are waiting in the tiny dining area, only one waitress, plus the if u r not Chinese u barely can communicate with them. Their first question is «r u Chinese?» The food was ok… Just ok. So if u r looking for a casual meal this is a bad place.

This is the worst service I’ve ever had in America. Omgs, 1.5 hrs to wait for 4 bowls of ramen. And it’s not cheap. The lady server doesn’t speak english at all. Then we waited for so long. Then she miscalculated our bill, adding 1 more bowl of ramen in there. Ramen was okay. However it was not worth the price and the bad service. This is not Asia! And even in Asia I receive better service! I’m not the type of person that pays that much attention to service at restaurant, coming from an Asian background. But I’ve never have to wait ANHOURAND A HALF for a bowl of ramen!!! My bowl, the broth was okay, the ramen is still UNCOOKED… aka super hard. By the time I finished all the shrimp, mushrooms, and bammboo shoot, noodle is finally at the stage that’s okay enough to chew. Then at the end, she even asked for tips… NO! We cannot give tips to bad service!!!

I love this place. It is located in a small, cozy street. The owners are the one’s taking care of you. They are obviously Asian with a strong accent, but you don’t need to understand much. Just eat. The food is excellent. Everything you order here is gonna be amazing.

I have to keep it all the way real. The ramen is good, but it’s $ 28 a BOWLCASHONLY. That’s crazy, for that price you go get a steak. There is a place in Hollywood called gobistro, excellent ramen and it cost $ 12 a bowl credit cards accepted. You won’t regret it

Whenever I go it’s always a 50:50 chance of it being opened regardless what is posted. The food is okay but ridiculously overpriced for what you get. It’s noodles and broth… with some random toppings. Plus most of the time the ramen is super salty. Definitely too oily. I love ramen. This spot is a gamble but the dumplings are good. Cash only. Good luck

I love ramen, and in Miami is hard to find. But every time I come here the service is terrible. Ok food terrible service, specially if I’m willing to pay you outrageous prices, give me a good service, don’t tell me how much I have to eat, or move me to where you want me to sit. Can someone open a ramen place in Miami, so I can stop coming here.

I came in assuming that this was a $$ ramen place but I was utterly shocked when the bill came out! Cash only too!!! The broth and portion was decent but there is no way you can charge $ 33 for shrimp ramen and $ 28 for mushroom ramen and $ 18 for $ 12 gyoza without disclosing the price on the menu! Actually the menu was just a blurry small font laser printed half sheet of white paper with no prices listed! Tried once and never coming back again! 2 stars for the actually ramen flavor and portion.

Sad to say, I think they’re on the verge of closing up. After they opened Momi gyoza and Momi oyster, both business have closed after only being operational for less than a year. Now Momi ramen has shortened its hours and also is closed Sunday’s. I came back on a Wednesday night around 10 and the place was empty. But when the prices have gone up from $ 15.99 a bowl to now $ 26.99 a bowl, it’s a little absurd to pay that much for ramen. Still one of the best tasting ramen places but not magical enough to justify those prices. Not sure what the owners are going through. Hopefully it doesn’t close but I don’t see it getting a ton of business with these high prices. All of the other ramen places including places in other major cities charge around $ 16 a bowl or less.

Great ramen, OK service, ridiculous price tag. I have been to Momi a couple times over the course of last year. It is located in an unassuming side street in Brickell, just minutes from Mary Brickell village. Parking can be tough, but manageable. Now the food: the broth is probably one of the best broths in the city: thick, porky and absolutely delicious. The noodles are not bad, but they are closer to classic Chinese noodles than classic Japanese ramen. The side dishes are not particularly memorable, but the gyoza is OK. So why 3 stars? The price tag. A bowl of noodles should not cost 28 dollars, even if it contains a broth of the gods. And IF it is worth 28 bucks, then the owner should consider accepting credit cards.(as far as i know the place is still cash-only).

I didn’t eat there. I was looking for a place to grab a bite between meetings. I wish I had looked at the photos people uploaded before I got my taste-buds excited about ramen. There is absolutely no way that this restaurant should come up as $$. The most basic entrée is $ 28. I’m reporting it to Unilocal to be bumped up to $$$. There are noodles worth $ 30.

Decent food, but their bowl of ramen is NOT worth $ 28. There will always be people willing to pay such high price here in Miami, since real Japanese ramen restaurant do not exist… yet. Pity.

I don’t understand why this place has only two $$. It should indicate that its cost is $$$. I currently live in New York City and the price of this ramen place is absurd. We ordered a bowl of kimchi ramen and 12 chicken/beef gyoza. A bowl of ramen costs at least $ 28. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the menu. It costs so little to make a bowl of ramen. 12 small gyoza cost us $ 17. They did give us bottles of water for free though. I may be more shocked by this place’s price because there are so many great ramen places in New York City with a reasonable price. The taste of this place’s ramen is similar to Ippudo or Minca Ramen in NYC but less thicker. Don’t get me wrong. Their food is good — their noodles, especially, are great. The portion of their ramen are huge too. They cook their Gyoza crispy one side and soft on the other sides. I loved their gyoza. If you have lived in big cities where Asian food is ubiquitous, you will not like this place because of its absurd price. You will think«I paid around $ 12 for the similar taste of ramen elsewhere.» If you have never had good Asian food and would like to try authentic Asian ramen, you will like this place. I honestly think if they lowered the price, this place would prosper.

Warning: The ramen is VERY expensive! $ 27.50 per bowl! Hubs and I tried the pork belly ramen. Broth was flavorful. The soups temperature was very hot! Service was good but the server was very hard to understand. We were disappointed that The gyoza is not homemade but comes frozen in a package. The dining room is small and cozy. The hubs and I were impressed with the sake bottles but found out that there were actually only two sake choices; both choices were $ 22.50 each. All in all, it was not worth the $ 27.50 per bowl of ramen.

Barely comes in with a fourth star, but still, it does. Open late, expensive, and CASHONLY, a little old Asian lady took my order before darting off to help an equally old Asian dude in a glass cube create the magic potion that is ramen. I’d had more than five drinks at the Canapes and Cocktails event at Coya Miami(which I encourage you to check out), so I was sloshed and hungry when we arrived. I ordered the shrimp ramen and my pal Chris ordered the chicken ramen. There was a mushroom spinach variety, and I earnestly regret not going with that. While the shrimp were massive, plentiful and delectable, I think the mushroom choice may have gotten me a better(re: less meaty) broth. More on that later. But like I said, I was drunk and ate my ramen as if it were the nectar of the gods. Having never ventured to Japan or a domestic«authentic ramen» spot, I can’t be sure what I was eating was the«real deal,» but it certainly tasted like it. And even after 9:30pm on a Tuesday, there were four other tables dining. I woke up, miraculously, without a hang over. Either ramen has miraculous powers, or Pisco is my new best friend. Maybe both? Anyway, I couldn’t possibly eat the massive portion of soupy heaven I was given that cocktail-fueled night, so I took it home. It sat in the fridge until Wednesday night when I pulled it out after a long run for a quick dinner. But it wasn’t soup. IT. WAS. A. SOLID. As a vegetarian-pescetarian I was more or less horrified, but hey, I’d already eaten it the day before and I’d shelled out an abrasive $ 32 for the damn thing. I ate it, trying not to think about how much bone marrow or animal parts inevitably comprised my delicious salty soup. But next time it’s the mushroom version for sure!

«I want 15%.» The old woman who works there as a server ruined the experience for my friends and I. I cannot imagine how much business she has cost this establishment because she is SOINCREDIBLYRUDE. The restaurant is small and was pretty full when we got there so we wanted to sit outside. One person from my party went inside to tell the restaurant staff that and then returned outside. We moved to sit down at the outdoor table. We were in the middle of settling down when she came out and began heckling us to sit inside because, «There are too many mosquitoes.» We ended up moving inside and she tried to suggest our party splitting up and sitting across the restaurant from one another. Uhhnm… NO. We opted to sit at the bar seating instead.(Mind you, we wanted to avoid sitting at the bar which is why we wanted to sit outside!!) We ordered and the food came out quickly. Thank goodness cause I was hungry. I’m no ramen expert, but I personally really enjoyed the pork belly ramen. However, this place is really pricey. So, we finished eating and then came time to pay the tab. Before we left we wanted to take a picture since the location is so cute. We laid out the cash to cover the tab and we’re trying to take a picture when she returned. She counted the cash and taps us on the shoulder when she clearly sees that we are taking a photo to say, «The total doesn’t include tip.» She didn’t deserve a tip. Don’t get me wrong, I usually always tip. But this woman deserved NOTHING. The service was horrendous and she was rude. We asked her to give us a moment but she kept repeating herself. So, we pull out cash to give her a tip and she counts it in front of us and has the nerve to say, «I want 15%.» REALLY!!! Don’t get me wrong, I understand how hard it is to be a server– but her service did NOT warrant a tip. At all. The food was good, but I won’t be coming back because the service was appalling. I wouldn’t ever recommend this place to a friend.

I didn’t expect much walking into this ramen joint. We already had dinner next door and thought I could have room to eat some more. Sticker shock when a waitress laid down the menu. Starting price $ 25.75 for a bowl of ramen, really?!? I get it if the ramen noodle were made directly from Japan and it’s some sort of rarity, then I wouldn’t mind paying for it. After trying it, the belly pork ramen just didn’t have the wow factor to it. The broth was savory and came with a bigger bowl than you typical get from the other ramen places. Pork meat was ok and the noodle texture tasted like spaghetti. Not impressed for that kind of price, sadly. By the way, they don’t accept credit cards. Cash payment only.

La sopa ramen de pork belly es buena. El servicio es un poco lento y los precios un poco altos. Sin embargo, no hay muchas opciones de ramen por la zona así que sirve para matar el antojo.
