I have officially been inaugurated to the food truck underworld ! This place is located on the outside of a gas station on coral way. Its a bit hectic to enter and park since there is limited space . The two employees were extremely helpful ! I was indecisive of what to get so they suggested the cazon empanada. Good choice ! I was terrified since I have never ate shark meat and the first time is going to be from a food truck ?! The empanada paired with the garlic sauce makes it that much better ! The prices are quite expensive for a quick bite to eat however, the food quality makes up for it. I’ll be back for my nutella tequeno !

This food truck is located in the parking lot of a gas station on 57th ave and 24th street. There isn’t enough parking available, they have 3 parking spots next to the truck. So I literally parked in front of a gas pump(I’m glad I didn’t get towed). I ordered a hot dog with a Frescolita(Venezuelan soda). The hot dog was tasty, and had quite a few toppings. It had mustard, mayo, ketchup, and potato sticks(papitas fritas) as toppings. The hot dog was pretty big, I couldn’t finish it. My meal cost $ 6, not bad. That was the cheapest meal on their menu though. Some things I felt were too pricey, like I would never pay $ 9 for an arepa. The service was good. The two employees in the truck were very nice. They recommended that my friend get a shark empanada, and she enjoyed it. Before we left, one of them asked us what are we going to try the next time we go… Pretty confident guy, lol, but he was still very nice. I’m not too crazy about going back because the parking was a hassle, and the rest of the menu is outside of my budget. But if I do go back, I’m going to try that shark empanada.

Fantastic Empanada de Cazon(fish) !! This little truck had been highly recommended by my Venezuelan brother-in-law, but this is my first time visit to this Venezuelan food truck parked in gas station on Coral Way and 57th Avenue. I only had the empanada(several) but they were fantastic! The dough was corn sweet and the filling savory with delicious flaky fish. Even though cazon is a creole name for a small shark, don’t be put off. you probably have eaten this tender, juicy fish many times when you ordered fish and chips. I hear that this truck makes GREAT burgers and tequenos(tube dough stuffed with cheese or ham and cheese). The truck is clean, service fast, and a nice family operation with the guy’s young daughter helping out. Open til late despite Unilocal said it was closed by 9:30! Great food!
