Great ambiance! Food also met expectations. I had the seafood lasagna, delish! my husband had the rissotto w lamb chops, also excellent. Dissapointed with dessert. We ordered the nutella And the crème brule and both were cold andhad prob been sitting in the kitchen for hours. So skip the dulce! Overall, the experience was great. I will go back for HHr and dinner to try other dishes.

I came today to pour a little liquor for Mai Tardi. After seeing the talk thread regarding its closing, I knew I had to stop by once more and enjoy their thin crust pizza once more. I had gone before, and almost taking it for granted. Rick Ross’ «Aston Martin Music» reminded me too, as it was filmed in the courtyard. (Mai Tardi is showcased between 1:04 and 1:23 into the video.) Fitting, then, that tonight was cloudy and the weather gloomy as I sat down at the bar this afternoon to catch the Super Bowl. My eyes had the chance to see the mural and oak tree once more, and my taste buds the crisp thin crust, mozarella and marinara sauce. Symbolic, too, I had one of their last bottles of a sweet Riesling. I even had a chance to munch on their MaiTardi flat bread with prosciutto. Yes, and the Giants won, maintaining my lucky pizza dinner on Super Bowl Streak! Buon Giorno Mai Tardi!

Maitardi is on the way to becoming one of my favorite restaurants. Décor is awesome, I love the light up tables and peace sign, the whole bar set up with the tree and round lights are just perfect also. This place can double as a casual lunch spot or a romantic dinner and drinks place. Service has always been on point & they have a good wine selection. All the food I have tried has been so goooddd However the nutellino is probably the best nutella contraption ever created! It Is the perfect combination of soft warm and delicious bread filled with at least and inch and a half of nutella! I would drive to midtown just for that(don’t judge me) The seared tuna entrée is a light and healthy option(it is served on top of a tomato salad. The pizzas are good. Panini’s are awesome. I will return again and again

We came here for the first time last Thursday, after the Unilocal Elite Event at Vita, with a couple of people we had met that evening at Vita since we were still hungry. They spoke wonders of this place and decided that we had enough with the suspense and we should head over. The place is very lounge-y and laidback, tucked in the Design District within a few steps of the Buena Vista post office. They have outdoor and indoor seating although most people seem to sit outdoors and on this perfectly cool evening, why not? They had a live band playing, I think they said their name was Bikini Jazz. I was enjoying the weather and taking everything in, from the cool, color changing glow-in-the-dark tables to the mosaic wall covering the restaurant, to the peace sign yellow sculpture to the side, to the cool Buddha-like head fountain. It’s funny that they would have this peace sign sculpture because this place is definitely peaceful, so it fits very well with the ambiance. The group suggested we try the seafood lasagna and I thought«huh? seafood in a lasagna? how could this work?», but decided to take their suggestion. I also decided on the seared sesame tuna as I love tuna. Amazingly, the seafood lasagna works, very well. It was delicious, and so was the tuna. They ordered pizza, which I did not try, and the calamari in a red pepper sauce, which comes in a cone, and I found the calamari to be tasty. They recommended the nutella calzone but we did not end up getting dessert, but I was told it’s amazing. The drinks here can be quite strong so I recommend going easy or you may be drunk before you realize it. The atmosphere was fun and everyone was just chilling. They close at midnight so you have plenty of time to chill out. This place can be a bit expensive though, especially with drinks, so I recommend saving this place for special occasions or at least for dinner, definitely not for lunch unless you don’t mind spending a lot on lunch. We spent $ 100+ for just 2 people that night but had a great time.

Maitardi’s Menu is divided up by Land, Sea and Earth categories, Pizzas and Larger Plates. Sea — Insalata di Polipo; for $ 14 you get an octopus salad a bit different style than the typical Spanish or Greek way. They serve it with cherry tomatoes, small cubed potatoes, arugula and evoo. Good size for one petite person like me. Calamari e Farro; for only $ 9 bucks you get a pretty satisfying meal here. They serve the grilled calamari on top of the farro(well-known in Northern Italy). The balsamic glaze it comes with is divine. I assume its a Balsamic Emulsion. Earth — Garciofi Fritti(fried artichokes); great dish to share as an appetizer($ 8); I could not taste the mint in the aioli though. Further they have a fairly small but interesting selection of pizzas that range price wise from $ 10 – 15 and yes, you can get them whole wheat as well. Finally some folks that are moving with the current times. Looks like they also support local farmers! YAY! They get only 4 stars because their drinks were not that good last time around, and I believe that no matter who the bar tender is the product to the customer should be kept great at all times.

Mai Tardi, I really wanted to like you, really, I did, but alas you failed and left a sour taste in my mouth! I read rave reviews about this place so it just took one look at their online menu and they had me at bison meatballs! I made reservations for Friday night for a group of 10. The weather was cooperating that night– very unlike Miami– so we sat outside. The ambiance was great thanks to this amazing tree providing its gentle breeze, sparkling its hundred little lights into the night sky. As to the food, the menu has a lot of variety and I found the prices to be fairly reasonable. Everyone ordered something different so we were all able to taste each others food. To start I ordered the bison meatballs and the arancini– both were great but my favorite was definitely the meatballs. The bison was tender and flavorful, and the melted fontina cheese inside was a nice surprise. The sauce it comes with had a nice spice to it– make sure you use the bread to sop up all the extra sauce! I tried the mozzarella and prosciutto and it was very fresh. Overall, the appetizers were definitely the highlight of our meal. For the entrée, I ordered the gnocchi to share with my husband. It is cooked in a creamy pesto with crispy pieces of raddichio mixed in. The gnocchi was definitely soft but we found it to be bland. There was no taste to it– it was just tiny pieces of dough. Neither my husband or I finished it– and that is that we shared!!! I tried my friend’s steak with grilled polenta and found that to be good but not amazing, and it was slightly overcooked. I asked both of my friends who ordered it what they thought and both said they had better steak elsewhere. The two winners on our table were the squid ink risotto and the fig & prosciutto pizza– my favorite being the pizza. The combination of the salty proscuitto was balanced nicely with the sweetness of the figs. The venison ravioli was also another one ordered and I thought it was better than my gnocchi but it did have a slight gamey taste to it. Originally my review up until dinner was a 3 but then the events that came after dropped it to a sure fire 2!!! My husband and a few others in the group are whiskey lovers. We ordered 4 clean pours of Lagavulin. When they came the guys did their usual swirl, sniff, sip and something was off. When we looked at the glasses one was completely different to the others in terms of color. It doesn’t take a whiskey connoisseur to know the color of whiskey and 3 of the glasses looked like, well, water with whiskey– it was a light pale yellow rather than a dark, rich amber. When we put the 3 light colored ones next to the one that had the rich amber color, we knew they had not given us what we ordered. What they did I don’t know but 3 of the glasses were not the whiskey we ordered. I told the guys to go up to the bar and show them the glasses. The bartender looked at the glasses and without them having to say anything knew what the problem was. He gave all 4 of them new pours and they stood there to make sure it was what they originally ordered. Strike one. As regards service, it was nonexistent!!! We saw our waiter three times, and twice he was flagged down in order for us to request something. He never came around to ask how we were doing or if we needed anything, NEVER! I saw the water boy more than I did our waiter! That was strike two. Lastly, before any of us ordered, 5 of us told him we wanted separate checks and his response to each one was: «I’ll do it at the end.» Well, he didn’t. When I asked him to do it after he gave it to us he said we had to do it by putting numbers(1, 2, 3, etc) next to whatever each party ordered and then write the amount next to our corresponding number on the back with our card information! It was absolutely ridiculous, especially when several of us asked him to do it from the beginning! Then when one in our group needed change for $ 100 he said he couldn’t give her change. It was at that point, already infuriated, I got up and asked to speak to the manager. I told her about the bill situation and the waiter’s lack of help, and her response to me was: «We don’t have change.» Huh??? My reply to her was: «Then how do you proceed to give people change when they pay with money?» I still didn’t get the change but what she did do was come by and get our bill and everyone’s form of payment and take care of the bill for us. The waiter was too incompetent to even take care of our bill!!! Strrrrrrrrrrike three! I had high hopes for this place, very high hopes, but I was severly disappointed and so was everyone else in my group. I, as the Unilocaler and proverbial foodie in the group didn’t deliver the amazing meal I, and Unilocal, promised to my friends.

My first time here was a couple of months ago for Brunch. We seated outside, nice breeze, comfortable seating. I had the Eggs Benedict but didn’t really liked that it comes with polenta toast, instead of the usual English Muffin. A bit too mushy for my taste. Everything else was great, service, mimosas, ambiance… No other complaints. Fast forward to last weekend, I find myself in the area again, and hearing how good their seafood lasagna is I just had to try it. It was 5 of us this time. We were immediately seated, this time inside, and they even had a highchair for my nephew. The menu had changed a bit since my last time here and have to say I was almost tempted to try other things other than the lasagna I came for but, fortunately I stuck to my original choice. This seafood lasagna is divine, and I’m not a big seafood person… It is perfectly cooked, filled with shrimp, scallops, squid, fresh fish, crab meat with a delicious dill lobster sauce. On top of that mussels. I’m telling you it’s something you must try. Other things ordered at the table were the Calzone — enormous, and apparently really good, since all of it was gone. The Margherita Pizza looked amazing — my nephew certainly loved sharing with his Mom, and the ciabatta al prosciutto(parma prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, lettuce, tomato, mayo) might be the next thing I order when I visit again. Well, maybe, might be tempted to change my mind again with all the amazing things in their menu. Good thing, prices are reasonable so, whatever you don’t try this time, you can the next. At least that’s what I plan to do.

Early dinner sunday night, their outside patio is almost empty(but it’s sunday, it’s early and it just rained…) We sat outside, were brought water right away as well as dinner menus. Our waitress came a few minutes later to take our drinks order but we actually ordered food right away. I got the prosciutto and mascarpone flatbread and my husband got the diavolo pizza with imported spicy sausage/salami. The food was very good! The flatbread might be a bit light is you are really hungry but it had a lot of mascarpone and that was delicious. The prosciutto slices were very thin so that was great too. My husband pizza was very good, the sausage was not too spicy but still had a little«kick», very good! It really tasted like European meats/cold cuts. The pizza had a very thin crust and dough was light and fresh. Very good dinner, very good prices, lots of other items I would like to try so we will come back. One minus point: the mosquitos are very hungry at night and we got several bites each :(

A garden oasis outside and a modern contemporary inside, Maitardi is a beautiful dining spot in the Design District. The green foliage is made trendier with glowing cubes serving as makeshift drink holders and ottomans, and a loungey vibe that makes Maitardi a great place to swing by for a drink or to brave the heat and dine. The drink menu is filled with lots of tantalizing choices, with everything from wines and beers to cool cocktails made with fresh fruit purée. My favorite is the prosecco and strawberry purée, which you can get for only $ 6 during happy hour! Came for dinner during Unilocal Eats and got to try the three course price fixed menu. Started with the quiona salad with mango and tomatoes, which I found was very light and refreshing. However, I tried some of a friend’s faro calamari and was a bit disappointed. The actual fish was not breaded, which was nice, but the calamari had a rubbery, overcooked consistency. The same«overcooked» feeling came about during the entrees when I got the much raved about seafood lasagna. As fantastic as it sounds and as brilliant as the idea is, the execution was just not there. The seafood(which did have a nice range of scallops, calamari, shrimp and a mussel and clam on top) tasted dry and the black crisp where cheese had once been on top didn’t really enhance the flavors. It seemed almost like they just got too busy, baked it too long and then served it anyway. I could see that it might be good, but on this particularly evening it just really missed the mark. As for dessert, I got the nutellino. True to it’s name it was like a calzone, with globs of nutella inside. It was so large, they cut it into fourths, so that the nutella is literally oozing out of each cut side. While I know many love this, I personally thought it could have used a bit more. Perhaps pieces of crushed hazelnuts, or some kind of crisp would have been a nice textural component and it would have broken up the monotonous flavor of the large dessert. The chocolate cheesecake too just seemed average, and wasn’t anything spectacular. I’m sure I’ll be back for happy hour since this is a lovely place, but I probably won’t be as enthusiastic about the cuisine. Since so many other people seemed to enjoy the food, I’m going to believe it was just an off night or maybe that I ordered the wrong things. Hoping in the future they prove me wrong and show me that their food really is as great as the gorgeous setting.

I always stop by Maitardi when doing the Wynwood walk. The outdoor atmosphere is the perfect place to kick back and enjoy a mint julep while people watching. Last week I had my first meal here and was very impressed. First off their wine list is categorized by price point, $ 20, $ 25 and so on I love it! Something for everyone and a good selection. Food wise, we had the speck & mozzarella, I have an addiction to Italian meats, I love them, they love me, so in my opinion this was fabulous. Next we ordered the polpette di bisonte — bison meat with a asiago cheese filling accompanied by a spicy chili sauce. This was absolutely delicious, the combination of the meat and the gooey cheese with the sauce was incredible. Unfortunately the venison ravioli is no longer on the menu so we opted for the veal chops with risotto. Also amazingly good! Final thoughts: I highly recommend this restaurant if your looking for a trendy spot to have dinner with a friends.

The last time I was here(until last Saturday) was the Unilocal Elite event almost two years ago — so I was way overdue for a visit. I loved the atmosphere here, and had been meaning to come back for quite awhile. It was pretty packed late on Saturday. We managed to score a table, and got a look at the menu, which I LOVED. Unfortunately I had already eaten, so I just had a bite or two of a friend’s hummus, which was tasty. But they had lots of vegetarian options, and I can’t wait to go back and sample. Unfortunately, I ordered a well vodka soda before I got a look at the drink menu — and was pissed, as the price was $ 10. Granted, I think it was decent vodka, but $ 10? Seriously? That seems to be the trend lately, and I’m not feeling it. Once I saw the drink menu, I was even more pissed, because it’s AMAZING and extensive! Sooooo many delightful concoctions, and all $ 10. So, I ordered another drink soon after. Given my hideous memory, I can’t recall the drink I ended up ordering, but it was creamy, sweet & delightful — that much I remember. I’ll be back for apps and drinks, preferably during happy hour.

4 stars for food minus 1 for mediocre service. Came for dinner during happy hour and sat outside. Great atmosphere, love the outside patio and the band that was playing. Waited about 10 minutes until our waiter showed up and another 5 for waters. The water refills could have been more frequent but I’ve experienced worse. We also waited for our check quite a while. The food is good and reasonably priced. Drinks and pizzas are big. The Pisco drink I had was watery and not that great, but we only paid $ 6 due to happy hour. I love that they give you a whole wheat option on any pizza. The grilled calamari appetizer served on a bed of farro is large enough to be shared between 2 people or even for a light entrée. The calamari were buttery but the BF felt they were too salty. Skip the quinoa arugula salad — quinoa was undercooked and it was bland overall. When trying new places I usually follow the waiter’s recommendation and I was not disappointed. The seafood lasagna is great. Big chunks of shrimp, calamari, fish, scallops and crab meat in a pink lobster sauce. I could smell the butter and the heavy cream in it but a girl’s gotta have a cheat day. The portion size was perfect. I finished all of it without feeling stuffed or wanting more. My friend ordered the pistachio crusted salmon. I had a taste and it was good but not great. I didn’t really get the pistachio taste nor could I see a crust. The passion fruit glaze was too sweet even for my taste and I am a big fan of sweet and savory fusion. It also seemed slightly overcooked. Maybe not one of their better dishes. The pizza we ordered was the Mozzarella Burrata and Prosciutto whole wheat version. I found the center of the dough soggy and it was also very salty. Meh, not impressed. For dessert, we ordered the Nutellino. Ask for whole wheat pizza dough; It is basically pizza dough filled with a big gulp of Nutella, baked, cut into slices and served with whipped cream. For my taste, they could use half of the Nutella or perhaps lighten it up with some whipped cream or mascarpone. It was extremely rich and has a perverse amount of calories and fat. Not a light dessert by any means and definitely large enough to share between 3 – 4 people. The chocolate cheesecake was a bit on the bland side. You couldn’t taste the chocolate or much else but it did have nice texture. My guess is they use a mix of cream cheese and ricotta to lighten it up. It is not a dense NY style cheese cake. It needs some vanilla extract or maybe orange zest to give it more flavor.

What do you get when you mix a great outdoor ambiance with good food and not so posh expensive prices? Maitardi. We really enjoyed this spot during Art Basel and now with the weather getting cooler, this just may be my new favorite spot. Right in the heart of the design district, Maitardi has an incredible sense of what miamians look for in an outdoor drinks and bite to eat location. The portions are huge and the pizzas are amazing. I tried the pollo mango salad which inckuded three grilled chicken breasts cuts. Great for carb control. Not sure if there’s a happy hour menu but the prices are great either way. Stop in the next time you’re looking for a nice, trendy spot to have lunch and a glass of wine outdoors.

They have updated their menu. All the favorites are still there. But instead of calling them appetizers and main dishes, there are now small plates and large plates. The good thing, is that things come out as their are ready, and not all at the same time. Come prepared to share.

The only other time I was here was the Elite event and I’m truly sorry it took me so long to come back. The food, service and atmosphere were simply perfect. We started with the beet chips and cheese, just like last time it was my favorite appetizer. Coming in second was the beer battered artichokes(careful they come out very hot). When it came to the entries everything was great! I ordered the chicken, which is odd, I never order chicken but, I am so glad I did. The chicken comes with sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms, goat cheese and some sauce which I’m not sure what was in it, all this served over some awesome mashed potatos. I’m drooling as I type. The espresso and chili rubbed steak was almost perfect, I say almost because there is a way to improve on everything, even if I can’t think of how to make this steak better. The rack of lamb was wonderful with it’s fig-port wine sauce. While I liked the chicken and steak better this night, I can see myself getting the rack of lamb more often. This is going to be my «take out-of-towners to dinner» place.

I had my first taste of Mai Tardi at the Midsummer Night’s Dream event, and made up my mind then and there to try the restaurant as soon as possible. There were a lot of shining stars at the MND, but the clean flavors and originality of Mai Tardi’s dishes were especially memorable. Last Saturday, a couple of friends and I went to a gallery opening and found ourselves afterward in that dreaded quandary of «It’s Saturday night at 10 pm and we have NO reservations. We’re going to starve out here in the wilderness!» The glittering lights and groovy loungey loveliness of Mai Tardi loomed before us in the Midtown gloom, so we plucked up our courage and faced the hostess to ask for first available. Can you believe the angel in a sheath dress said, «follow me» without so much as a discouraging glance? Seated right away even though it was packed! Indoors, not out, but still, pretty miraculous considering the circumstances. It took a few minutes to get served because it was so very extremely busy, but once our waiter gave us his attention, he was great. I had a nice cold glass of sauvignon blanc, and a salad with beets and oranges. Delicious! The beets, in particular, were sweet and fresh, and I was thrilled to see them turn up again with the goat cheese. What a brilliant combo– sweet beets, tangy cheese; firm fresh red beets with soft, creamy bright white goat cheese– expertly executed. And what I appreciate most– Beets are in season! I will definitely go back to Mai Tardi. I want to try more of the menu options and make a reservation, so I can chill on the patio and savor the rest of the Mai Tardi experience.

Well, this is a reviewing rite-of-passage for the ambitious Miami Unilocaler, isn’t it? I don’t know why it took me so long to come here, but last night I was stumped when an out-of-town visitor wanted to go out to dinner. I didn’t have a clue… but then it came into my head. Maitardi. Let’s do it. Upon arrival, the place looked dead(Wednesday night in July, after all). The outside bar and patio seating area is quite large, yet no one was sitting out there. We opted to sit inside, where a comfortable crowd was already enjoying dinner. First of all, the alcohol. I’m actually a little surprised that there’s not a better beer list, but with the quality of the cocktails on offer, I didn’t really care too much. I ordered a mint julep, and it was very well-made — minty and sweet ginger, but not overtly so, the bourbon got a chance to come out and play with notes of coconut and charred barrel. A real cocktail, the kind you can sip for a while, have just one of, and be entirely satisfied. I’m tired of these $ 10 over-sweet girly drinks that go down in 5 minutes like water, causing your drink bill to be $ 50. If I’m paying $ 10 for a drink, I want it to be substantive, and this was. Whoever made that drink clearly knows what they are doing. I only regret that I missed happy hour. As I checked in with Foursquare, Eve C.‘s hint popped up notifying me of the great happy hour prices. Alas, I was too late. For a start, I ordered the cold cuts plate. Bresaola, salame and sopressata with olives were excellent, providing the right slightly-salty accompaniment to the drinks. My companion ordered the glazed salmon. She instantly proclaimed it the best salmon she’d ever had. I tried some, and yes, it was impressive. It has a passionfruit glaze that provides just the right balance of sweet and tart; it was a real winner and I’d have no problem recommending it to anyone. The fact that it was served on grilled asparagus only served to further cement her opinion. My entrée wasn’t quite as gush-worthy, but it still held enough flavor complexity to keep me interested. I had the Quinoa alle melanzane, a bowl of quinoa pasta with roasted eggplant, goat cheese and mint pesto. I didn’t really get too much of the mint sitting at the restaurant, as it was very hot, but when I had the leftovers cold the next day, the mint pesto was very apparent. Roasted eggplant provides some meatiness to the dish. My one minor complaint would be that there was too much goat cheese presence. Not by much, mind you, and I’m probably splitting hairs here, but I would have preferred that the mint pesto and eggplant come out on more of a level playing field with the cheese. Still, this is a solid 4.5, and I can’t wait to come back.

In other cities they have patio season during which the locals descend on outdoor seating for rays and fresh air. Miami being at the southern tip of the Sunshine State is blessed with a much longer patio season than most. MaiTardi is one of the most charming al fresco dining spaces in the city. The ex-Brosia courtyard has taken to its new landlord well. It’s rebirth as a loungey, watering hole serving up Italian eats includes springing up a new outdoor bar. Their tag line is: «A place where time is not of the essence.» You’re encouraged to invest a few hours indulging in a peaceful, simple meal, good conversation, and a soothing vibe facilitated by attentive servers and the surrounding, surprisingly still quiet Design District. As for the food you can expect a filling, delightful menu. With a recession friendly happy hour during which the clock sets the price, MaiTardi is easily affordable even for the most frugal of diners. If you’re visiting during regular hours you’ll find the prices are fair and after having sampled some of their seafood lasagna, pizzas, flatbreads, salads, and numerous appetizers I can vouch you’ll feel you got the better end of that deal.

Mai tardi — Never late! True, it’s never too late to try this amazing restaurant. Located in the trendy Design District, Mai Tardi has the charm, the attitude and the elegance of a restaurant designed for the younger business class. It has both great setting and great food. I hadn’t been back since the Elite event last year, I admit I regret not coming back earlier. Monday night, I decided to eat a light meal /pre-event dinner with fellow Unilocaler Janay. The menu is quite diversified with an interesting mix of tastes. We agreed to order the polpette di bisonte — bison meat balls in a spicy sweet sauce, and the gnocco fritto — fried pizza dough with prosciutto and a quite tasty white tartufo sauce. All this accompanied with a fruity tasting Prosecco… total win! The gnocco fritto was delightful and light while the polpette di bisonte were juicy with provolone melting on the inside. The sauce was a bit too sweet for me but still a great choice. The service was good but there were only two other tables outside so the restaurant was not busy which means they had time for us. Two antipasti were not enough and I pushed for a dessert. Janay chose the chocolate cheesecake. Very very interesting. I wouldn’t call it a cheesecake as it doesn’t feel like one. It is a very good cake though, quite fulfilling its task. Very chocolaty, with what seemed an amaretto mousse on top. Yum! I will be back!

Once my mind is made up, it’s usually made up. For example, I’ve been resisting MaiTardi for months, primarily because of memories from it’s previous incarnation Brosia. Even the glowing Unilocal Elite event reviews from MaiTardi could not get me to try it. As you could see in my review of Brosia, I was not a fan. So, I resisted MaiTardi, thinking, «How different can it be?» Today at lunch, I saw that MaiTardi is not Brosia. The dreamy setting is the same as when it was Brosia, but the food, service, and overall quality were so much better. The caprese burger was very tasty, and unexpected, being both beefy and subtle. My iced tea was on constant fill-up. I actually had to stop the server from refilling me for the 6th time. That’s how attentive the service was today. So, I won’t say much more(given that it was only lunch) other than, I’m glad I got over my resistance, and tried MaiTardi. Better late than never.

Came here with friends after a great time at Art Basel(Convention Center). Our very good friends have never been to Mai Tardi, so we knew this would be a good choice. The place was packed and we were greeted by the friendly hostess who always seems to be there. The owner(Graziano) immediately came up to us and greeted us. Our friends were about fifteen minutes behind us so we walked over to the bar, to order some wine. We were here last month and there was no bar outside. It reminded me of the Elite event, with the bar in the middle outside. Very nice. Our friends arrived and they ordered two glasses of wine as well. Our table was ready so we went to pay for wine and Graziano said«it was on the house». Very gracious of him, and well appreciated. We tipped the bartender and walked over to our table. Our waiter was James, he was delightful, friendly, and gave great service throughout our dining experience. We were all so hungry so we ordered two appetizers: Arancini– rice with meat sauce, balls– perfectly battered with excellent flavor, not heavy at all… Fried Artichokes– Very tasty, with some kind of I believe dill sauce, that was so good. We all ordered different dishes, all were fabulous. Tonight I ordered Tortellini with stuffed mushrooms in truffle sauce– spectacular, very good. I was delighted that I chose this dish. The tortellini was al dente and the sauce was creamy. I normally do not do creamy sauces but heck give me some truffle oil on anything and I am very happy. Our one friend ordered some kind of steak dish which he loved, said it was perfect. His partner ordered a pasta dish which looked like linguine with tomatoes, and vegetables, and other items in it. Hubby ordered the same pasta dish. I wish I knew the name, but we were enjoying our company so I was not really paying close attention. Our friends thoroughly enjoyed it, and said they can not wait to come back and try other items. The ambiance, the service, and atmosphere are wonderful. This place does such a great job. John Marco, the manager stopped over to say hello. He is every young girl’s dream…:)
