Omg I stumbled across this place looking for something different different from my daily lunch menu due to me workin in the Barbershop across the street and I felt as if I was walked in to Spain. The ppl were absolutely delightful as well as the food. I’ll definitely be back again.

Great, fresh, authentic Spanish tapas food. The place is a hidden gem in Little Havana. Waiters were really nice. We tried the Spanish tortilla, Patatas Bravas, selection of Jamon Cerrano, Chorizo and cheese, Garlic shrimp was awesome. For dessert I had the housemade Torrija and it was delicious, freshly made. You can park for free in front of the restaurant.

I LOVE this place. It’s a family affair. On Saturday night, a kid(grandson?) was at a front table when we arrived, watching a video on a tablet, being served a meal by a waitress who admonished him(in Spanish) to say thank you when he didn’t on his own. The food makes you feel like you’re in Spain, and the prices are great. I had chorizo cold(a LOT of slices), pimientos relleno(stuffed peppers with a great sauce) and garlic shrimp(like five or six of them). DC had gazpacho, a tortilla with onions and a creamed cheese spread(hot) with bread. Glasses of wine were generous pours for $ 6.95 each. Whole meal was $ 65.70 with tip. Every time we go there I think we should come more often. Only reason we don’t is that it’s something of a drive from our place, but any time we’re in the area, this is our No. 1 restaurant.

Buenisimo!

A piece of Madrid at Pequeña Habana. Family owned restaurant. A fairly large menu and good wine list at almost supermarket prices. The waiters are Cuban with a fake Spsnish accent and a semi rude attitude(like in Spain). Food is great. Prices are right. Business hours are odd. Caldo gallego, cocidito madrileño are perfect. Pulpo a la gallega(galician style octopuss) is not great. Huevos rotos are delicious. For me is the most authentic Spanish restaurant in Miami.

Wow! Best tapas ever! What an amazing menu and gorgeous hidden gem in the heart of little Havana! We are from San Francisco and have enjoyed tapas in Barcelona, Sevilla, and New York City. This restaurant competes with the best of them! Muchas gracias a todo :)

My family’s Saturday outing came to a dead end when we had dinner at Las Tapas de Rosa. My daughter ordered Almejas en salsa verde. They were tough and chewy. Rabo encendido was not encendido and also tough. The accompanied rice was old. No authentic Spanish cooking here. The use of the microwave is apparent as seen through the kitchen doors and service was below average even though the restaurant was not full. Restaurant not recommended for persons that know good Spanish cuisine!

This hole in the wall is a treasure!!! Real authentic Spanish cuisine in a lovely setting. This gem made me feel at home. The service was great and the food was phenomenal! I highly recommend: — Crema de queso cabrales(Cream of cabrales cheese) — Ensaladilla Rusa(Potato salad with vegetables, tuna & mayo) It tasted just like my mother’s! — And the HUEVOSESTRELLADOS acompañado de chorizo(2 fried eggs over french fries, accompanied by chorizo sausage). The fries are homemade and perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and tasty on the inside. The food truly reflects the owner’s passion for cooking.

Come to Tapas de Rosa and feel like you’re in someone’s living room, eating food prepared by someone’s mother. Because that’s pretty much what this is. A warm atmosphere, with wonderful food. Often actually cooked by the owner’s mother, in fact. The croquetas are consistently wonderful, and the best I’ve eaten. To me, the chorizo croquetas and the bacalao croquetas especially stand out. Every time we come, we get the pulpo a la gallega. Such a simple and delicious dish — I’ve never had octopus as tender as this. Other favorites here include the tortilla espanola with chorizo and the pimiento con queso. A note for those ordering the calamari — it’s not some deeply fried, dunk-it-in-a-cup-of-sauce dish. It’s very lightly fried, and served only with lime to squeeze over it. Quite good in my view, but some diners will be surprised. This is my go-to place for a long dinner with out-of-town guests. This is a true hidden gem in an unassuming location — Tapas de Rosa is on 8th street, just west of 95, in a small strip mall with a check cashing place and a Domino’s. The parking lot is pretty crowded, but I’ve never had a problem getting street parking nearby.

Authentic Spanish cuisine, overseen by Rosa herself(who came out and introduced herself — so sweet.) Food is FRESH(like. mimics how REALFOOD in Spain tastes) and juicy. I don’t even drink red wine, but since the table made an executive decision to go red, I even polished off a couple glasses. The paella was out of this world — every little seafood friend imaginable swimming in yellow rice/limey goodness. The almond cake was a perfect light finish to the meal; both satisfying and sweet. Very understated and warm atmosphere. I can see this being a quiet weeknight date place.

Best authentic Spanish food in Miami! The patatas bravas, tres marias, tortilla de chorizo, huevos estrellados, pulpo a la gallega, garbanzos fritos con chorizo are all delicious… and I can go on! Everything here is amazingly delicious and the service is friendly and helpful!

I saw this place had 4 stars so I was into it. I was looking for a less crowded spot to eat some Spanish tapas. So located in a strip mall and with 4 stars I figured it would be perfect. We were greeted and seated immediately. So far so good. Then we ordered a plate of meats and cheeses(delicious), fried calamari, and octopus. The calamari was barely fried, no color, and tasted raw to be honest. It cost $ 11 which I think is insane for such a terrible dish. And the octopus just tasted terrible. Once we received the calamari our waitress seemed to ignore us. Checking on all the other patrons and ignoring us. I was so dissapointed and literally feel sick right now from the food I ate. Lets hope I don’t get food poisoning. Overall incredibly disappointed and terrible food. I don’t know why this place has 4 stars.

I’ll say it. More authentic that Xixon. The staff have fantastic personalities, and the food reminded me of my time in Spain. Our experience included: — A pitcher of sangria — Crema de queso cabrales — Chorizo a la sidra — Croquetta de jamon — Croquetta de bacalao — TONSOFBREAD Everything above was a perfect 5 stars. I felt like we did an A+ job at ordering. Nothing like making little sandwiches out of chorizo and that delectable cheese. For dessert, we had what looked like a GIANT bonbon. Sweet vanilla ice cream in the middle, hard chocolate crust on the outside. Glorious. And to top it all off, our server was a very charming woman who made us laugh and made great recommendations. The atmosphere was great — very intimate and a lot of middle-aged Latin and Spanish folk. I really felt transported to the tapas places we visited in Madrid. Rosa, I love you.

We were pleasantly surprised by this little hole-in-the-wall, family-run restaurant. All tables were full on a Friday night, and many people here seem to be regulars. The restaurant is not fancy, but probably the closest that comes to representing a family restaurant in Spain. The food confirmed this for us, reminding me of many wonderful meals during our visits to Spain. Service started slow, but once we were attended to, everything was perfect from then on. We ordered a bunch of tapas and they started to arrive in steady, well-timed waves. A review of the food and wine: House(Rioja) wine: excellent All 4 types of croquetas: excellent Tortilla: very good Patatas alioli: excellent Chorizo al cidra: ok/good Desserts: ok/good BTW, to those that complained about the microwave«ding»…please get over it. Many restaurants and deli’s in Miami reheat the tortilla in the microwave. It takes a long time to prepare(almost an hour), and normal practice is to either serve it cold or reheat it quickly to serve as tapas. It does not take away from the flavor. I knew about the microwave going in. I let Unilocal reviews get in my head and you know what… the tortilla was awesome anyway. We will be back for sure.

Fun little place. I’ve never been to Spain, so I don’t know how authentic the food was, but I don’t understand why anyone really cares about authenticity. Why does it matter whether or not food mimics the ethnic traditions of some distant land? And why would we want to emulate those traditions in the first place? If you get your kicks out of the«authentic» experience, then consider that pre-Columbus Europe did not have tomatoes, potatoes, beans, corn, chocolate, vanilla, cashews, or peanuts, just to name a few foods brought from the New World. Guess what, most of the good parts of your precious«authentic» European cuisine is composed primarily of foods that didn’t even exist in Europe before the 1500s. If everyone valued authenticity over taste, then we would still be eating wild ox a la campfire with a side of whatever my cavewoman scavenged. Tangent over, back to the review. The food was very reasonably priced here, with lunch going at around $ 10/plate. We left full and happy. The Cuban waitress didn’t speak a lick of English, which may be off-putting to some, but made the experience more enjoyable for us. If you like good food, good service, and good prices, then you’ll probably like it here.

My boyfriend and I drove by Las Tapas de Rosa on our way to La Baguette and chose to give them a try instead since we were in the mood to re-live some of our culinary encounters with Spanish food while in Spain. My boyfriend ordered the bocadillo paco and we also ordered patatas bravas and croquetas de jamón y pollo. Ever since our most recent trip to Spain throughout which we had patatas bravas many, many times, we’ve become devout fans of the dish. There’s just something about crispy french fries with savory and spicy sauce dripping all over them. Unfortunately, the patatas bravas at Las Tapas de Rosa were unlike any patatas bravas we’d ever had. These were mushy and undercooked, and the sauce was a gross vomit color that tasted nothing like what it’s supposed to taste like. I don’t cook and even I could have churned out a better version. These folks should be ashamed for even daring to call that dish patatas bravas. I couldn’t believe how bad it was. Sadly, the croquetas weren’t much better. They were tasteless. What’s the point of eating fried stuff sans the yummy flavor that’s supposed to accompany it. I would have preferred Publix croquetas over these any day. My boyfriend said his sandwich«wasn’t bad,» but with prices like Rosa’s and with La Baguette right next door, «not bad» just isn’t good enough. Although he did finish his sandwich, the«patatas bravas» and croquetas ended up in the garbage. While looking at the menu before we ordering, we’d decided that the food was pricey but as always we were willing to pay for good food. However, the pricey food ended up in the garbage; therefore, it really isn’t worth the price or the calories. I will not EVER even THINK about going back to this place, and wouldn’t wish such a bad experience on anyone.
