0 star for verbally abusive owner to her employees. Forcing them to leave the workplace and not pay them. Do not give your money or business to these kind of people that take advantage of others.

Well, the gym itself is small, but not entirely terrible. The employees, though, are Spanish-speaking only(which is to my benefit because I don’t have to deal with talking to the owner who’s generally rude and always pressuring people into signing contracts). Aside from that, my main issue is with National Fitness, the bank to whom you pay monthly for the membership. You are locked down to a 3-year contract and there is no way to get out of it. What’s worse is that I paid my membership INFULL two years before the contract is scheduled to expire, and they still would not allow me to cancel my membership. It’s confusing when they said that I could have my membership canceled(which I requested at the time I paid off the account but they still kept it open) and then say now that cancellation is not offered at all unless you meet one of the two criteria: move to a location that is 25 miles from the nearest gym or have a doctor state you are incapable of any physical movement(both of which are ridiculous). I regret not asking for a letter of confirmation stating the account was closed because apparently the representative kept my account open, which means that even though I paid it in full, I will still have to pay for the yearly fee and any additional fees for the life of the contract. I had received a letter from National Fitness stating the account was paid and that I did not owe anything, but the payment only applied to the monthly charges, not the fees(which was not mention in the letter, otherwise I would have said something earlier). The level of frustration with National Fitness has given me the impression that they have zero customer service and do not consider even thinking that they might be at fault. It’s a shame that Lady Fitness of America works with National Fitness because, like I said, the gym itself is not that a complete failure, but the only contract they offer is not worth the hassle. To put this in perspective, the monthly membership fee is about $ 35 a month, for three years, which is the highest I have ever had to pay for a gym with outdated equipment(especially at a gym size that is relatively small). I would not recommend this gym or any other gym associated with National Fitness.

Could I give a 0 Star for the Rudeness and Unprofessional Owner? I came in last Saturday to see what their class schedules where and Alexis the sales manager gave me a whole story and how much he can offer me. YOUKNOWTYPICALSALESPERSON. I told him I would call him. I called and let him know I wanted to try the free 3 day trial. I went in yesterday after class around 7pm. I waited for him to finish with a client and we talked. He wanted to negotiate right then and there and I wanted my 3 day free trial to then negotiate. I explained that I can get a better offer elsewhere, we came to an agreement at $ 75 down for $ 20 a month NOCONTRACT. He said he had to ask the Owner’s and that they probably wouldn’t budge to that but we would try. We went back and forth with the Owners son for a good 20 minutes. Alexis finally came back with $ 75 down, $ 22.50 a month with NOCONTRACT. The owners son said fine, but that Alexis wouldn’t get commission. Mind you the guy says he sold about 27 memberships in 3 weeks, just standing out side.(This is his words not mine so I can’t guarantee it’s true, but I did see him get 3 girls in while I was waiting for him) As he agrees to not take commission he takes my drivers license and the Owner comes in. I don’t remember her name, but she asked what we had figured out and Alexis told her. She said no we weren’t going to do that she couldn’t do that. I explained that Saturday I was offered the $ 75 down at $ 25 a month with NO Contract, and she stated that had to be done Saturday and that was a one time deal, and with attitude that I should have come back in Saturday. I told her I wasn’t going to go in with Thunderstorms. If you live here in Miami you know Saturday was pretty bad. I work and have school and this was the only time I could come in. She flat out told me that she couldn’t do it, and with attitude. I stood up grabbed my bag and told her if she wanted to run a business she needed to learn how to negotiate, I turned to Alexis and told him sorry, call me if you can get me an offer and walked out. Alexis did call to apologize which I guess deserves the 1 star, but since it’s not his place I can not give this place more then the 1 star. I was shocked and truly not sure even if they called back with a deal that I would still want to go.
