La-Ward Bakery

I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with some Cuban treats for breakfast and decided to come here. The place is very… how should i say this… decorative? I’m sure it would appear a lot bigger if they decided to de-​clutter the place. I waited for about 20 minutes to just be able to order. 20 minutes. For items: croquetas, empanadas, dedos de queso y 2 coladas. Once I ordered it was very quick. The croquetas were pretty yummy as were the empanadas and dedos. The colada was pretty awesome but you can’t really mess up una colada and if you do– you don’t deserve to work in a Cuban bakery. What got me was the wait time and the fact that I ordered 4 croquetas de jamon and got 3 of jamon and 1 de pollo. Me no like croquetas de pollo. So please, don’t mess up my order and staff appropriately to rush hour times!

The pastries from La-​Ward are really good. They also have lots of the traditional cuban items such as media noches, café con leche, galletas Cubanas, etc., We ordered the guava, guava y queso, queso, & coco pastelitos and they were all awesome. We also bought some galletas Cubanas to bring home for the family. Everything we tried was really good! Gotta love Miami and all the little Cuban bakeries!
