We were invited to the opening of Karen Keith Designs and were treated to such a great experience. Her showroom is a whimsical collection of treasures she has collected over the last decade. There’s a vintage wheelchair, antique tools, a hodgepodge of pictures, and an eclectic collection of books. You really feel like you are in an art gallery rather than a jewelry store. Karen’s jewelry are predominantly hand made necklaces that all one of a kind originals. She incorporates antique pieces into much of her jewelry. One piece featured a glass compass, another a vintage bullet and toy soldier. I found the prices to be very reasonable as they started from under $ 50. My wife came home with a beautiful locket on a chain in an equally elegant wooden chest container. The custom reclaimed woodwork on the walls is simply stunning. Her beautiful necklaces are suspended from contorted forks in a very creative display of her works. Vintage busts suspended from the ceiling display some of the more ornate pieces. If you are interested in coming by, Karen will open the studio by appointment so visit the website. I highly recommend for anyone looking for some unique jewelry at a reasonable price.
