I recently had to move back to Kendall, which made me sad because I left all my delicious Gables/Grove food spots behind. This afternoon I started searching for a Kendall food spots that perhaps had escaped my attention. This is how I found Jamrock, and I’m so happy I did! Jamaican food is delicious, and Jamrock does an amazing job with it. I ordered a full plate of half ox tail and half curry goat. They had me at the first bite! The flavors were rich and so delicious. I had every intention of not eating the whole thing, but I failed. The patties are pretty big, and they have just the right enough if stuffing in them. They have other Jamaican goodies too, all looking really tasty. I have every intention of returning to Jamrock and try the rest of their menu.

Excellent! Fresh. Cooked with love, as most mom and pop places are. We had the oxtail and Jerk Chicken with Jerk Chicken fried rice. Oxtail was fall off the bone good, and Jerk Chicken was super flavorful. This is one of my favorite places now.

I’ve never written a review for Jamrock, and I don’t know why. I’ve been coming here for about 5 years now, and I just love everything about it. 1. The owner and staff are just delightful people. They make you feel like you’re at home. 2. Food is AMAZING. Some of my favorites are: the brown stew chicken, oxtail with rice and peas, now the Sui Mein(I just tried for the first time today.) 3. Very clean restaurant 4. They hooked me up with some free food one time when I was stranded for some time bc I locked my keys in the car accidentally. Try them out sometime, you’ll fall in love;)

The customer service and food still rocks at Jamrock. We had the suey mein, which a broth base noodle soup that comes with egg roll, bbq pork, Chinese roast chicken, bok choy, shrimp, and scallion; and of course the soy sauce with scotch bonnet pepper. The Jamaica beef patties were very tasty and flaky. Jerk loaf was a treat. The loaf was warm. Delicious Jerk pasta was off the chain, the sauce had a perfect amount of spices in the sauce. This is true comfort food!!! Prices are very reasonable. They have both Jamaican food and Chinese Jamaican dishes, with a Jamaican grocery items available. A quaint atmosphere and the owners are absolutely wonderful! Always try to stop when in Miami.

Delicious family-run, and extremely friendly! We’ve been going here for years, and JamRock is always a special treat. My personal favorite is a toss up between the Choy Fan and the Curry Goat. Other family member favorites include the ox tail, Sunday porridge(check before, on Saturday– regulars gobble this up fast!), and jerk pork. The wraps are a lighter treat which I waited far too long to try. They often have specials and hidden treats like the spiced shrimp, escovich, rum cake from locals, meat pies, and an ever-changing array of hot sauces. I just learned that they sometimes have curry shrimp that’s not on the menu, and I’m planning to try that soon! This is «Jamaican Chinese» done with an amazingly home style flair… You’ll become part of the family fast. They offer takeout. Fairly small place with three interior and two outdoor tables. Informal… Beverages in the display cooler, and a small selection of Jamaican grocery items.

After reading an article on Miami news times about this place, i realized it was literally just a few blocks away from home! I immediately went for dinner the next day. This place is such a little gem, the staff was incredibly sweet and not to mention the best part, my jerk chicken! Mouth watering! Its a small space but the atmosphere honestly makes you feel like your away from Miami in the jamaican island. On our way out, the owner pleasantly gave us some sweet Jamaican patties for free! I highly recommend this place, cant wait to try their brunch menu!

My sister, bf and I visited for dinner. A small quaint place that feels like a family members house that you havent seen in a few years. Very friendly staff. Both the Jerk and Curry chicken were delicious and large servings. We also tried the Conch soup special of the day and I loved it! Will return soon

YAAAAMONNNNNNN! Stopped in here for a quick curry chicken fix I was craving. BESTCURRYCHICKENEVER. Humongous portions of piping hot curry chicken with rice and peas and sweet plantains. All for around $ 10 for lunch. My wife and I tried to finish the whole thing but failed. Fast & friendly service. I WILLBEBACK

I was so excited to see a Jamaican restaurant in the Kendall area! Jamrock did not only live up to my expectations, but exceeded them. I called ahead to order my food, as a previous reviewer mentioned. I ordered the full portion of oxtail with fried sweet plantains, and rice and peas. When I got there, the staff was smiling and friendly. I got myself a peanut punch from the fridge and told them my name for the order. The food was amazing! The oxtail was so tender with a great sauce. The rice and peas were very flavorful. It was a lot of food! I can honestly say this is my favorite Jamaican restaurant and I will definitely go back and try their other dishes! Rock on!

A friend strongly recommended this place so I decided to try it out and we enjoyed it! Nothing fancy just good home cooked Jamaican food. You’ll feel like you’re eating in your grandmothers kitchen. The service is very friendly! It’s a very small place so don’t go with a large party because I doubt they’ll be able to accommodate you. I might have counted maybe 4 tables(8 – 10) occupancy. The jerk pork was very tender but also very spicy! Maybe I’m just a rookie. The oxtail was fall off the bone delicious I would definitely pick that next time.

5 star place for sure. The food is incredibly delicious. I felt as if I was part of the family since is a mom and pops restaurant. I will be coming here a lot. Found my new favorite place to eat. If your in the area do yourself a favor and come to this little place. If you don’t like it save the receipt and I will personally reimburse you.

I’ve come in multiple times and can’t believe I haven’t left a review! Everyone here is so nice and calm– the atmosphere reminds me of home and the food is always made w love. Extra gravy? You got it… chopped scotch bonnets w my food? ABSOLUTELY! I may not be from the Caribbean but I love the food– have been eating at various spots around the Miami Dade area for some time and JamRock definitely dishes out consistent quality food and service! Prices r just right too! Thanks to the lovely ladies that are always there to help(and the young man who has been helping out — after school I presume? Lol) you all are great!

I can’t say how authentic this place is, but I can tell you this place has some delicious food served by some of the nicest people. First, the food. We are never disappointed with any thing we ordered. The goat is tender, the jerk a nice blend of spice. They even have wrap and spaghetti too(though not me, I stick with the more traditional stuff). The lady who took our order is really nice. The place is small, with only 3 or 4 tables inside. So we went to sit outside, and she brought the food out to us. Then about 5 minutes later, she came out to tell us that there’s an empty table inside and we can move if we like. As the restaurant was relocated from a different side of the mall a year or two ago, the place is very new and clean compared to other Jamaican places in the neighborhood.
