I decided to try a barbershop to style my pixie cut after three other times getting dissapointing results at beauty salons. I went with a group of male friends who also needed haircuts and luckily I wasn’t turned away. One of the barbers did suggest that I try the salon next door, but I knew that I wanted to change my strategy and when I expressed my concern, they accepted the challenge.
I am glad I tried them because now my hair has the edgy look I wanted and the experience alltogether was good. I even got offered cortadito and a bunch of instagram-​worthy photos of me and my friends wrapped in Latin American flags.

Gamboa Barber Shop is trendy. It is the type of place where you get a haircut that is out of the ordinary. They specialize in shaving interesting designs onto your head.
Want flames?! They got it.
Want the Miami Heat logo shaved onto the back of your head? Wait in line.
Flower patterns?! Sure, why not?
It is the must-​go place for intricate hair shave designs. And besides the services they offer, the workers here are friendly and treat you like family. One of them high-​fived me out of nowhere, and another one gave me a hug. It was superb customer service at its finest.
The place is also clean and well-​kept. There are about five or six barber chairs, and the wait here isn’t that long. You also get a good view of the streets due to all the windows lining the walls of the shop.
I honesty came here because my friend honestly wanted stripes in her eyebrows, but if I was going through some type of crazy phase, I would honestly come back here because of their superb service and good end-​product.
