Okay so I wanted to go somewhere new near my home. Opened Unilocal checked out places nearby and up popped Farofa. The name is what grabbed my attention at first so told mom I was taking her there and off we went. When you drive up into the shopping center where it’s located I was definitely skeptical and thought uh oh, but once we walked into this place it was clean and busy. I’m talking busy, so I thought good sign.
The setup is similar to a subway, cantina type thing with menu option up on a wall you select the options they provide and then you are given a little vibrating device to indicate when your meal is done. Where they are different from these places and makes them a place worth checking out is that their offering high end beef similar to those of the knife, or other Brazilian steak places at a fraction of the cost and in a more cost effective, comfortable way.
They have a pit or cooking area aside from the rest of the food items and there you see the rods that are spinning under the watchful eye of the «meat guy» and he then takes off whatever is ordered, freshly slices, and serves it up.
My mom and I ordered the «todo or nada» (something like that… Portuguese menu titles) and it was two sides and a serving of each of the five different parts of beef they provide along with a free cheese bread. I also ordered an additional side of yucca fries (I wish they had a mojo sauce for these fries because they are ok on their own but would be phenomenal with a mojo garlic sauce) two drinks and we paid $ 37.00 tip and tax included.
The meat tasted great and was cooked perfectly. The sauces they provide for dipping are good too. Typical chimichurri, Farofa spice mix, some pickled pepper sauce, and a chili pepper sauce (spicy). We ate until we couldn’t eat anymore and still needed a box to take over ½lb of high quality beef home.
Pleasantly surprised and will definitely be going back. Very clean very fresh very yummy. Check it out.

You’ll definitely need a passport to get here, it appears to be in a very large flea market type plaza. The parking was easy as they have a couple of designated reserved spots.
The prices are decent as are the portions, but I was disappointed with the quality of the meat. Supposedly Pichana is a popular cut of beef, that many claim is tender. However I did not experience that, mine was very tough and flavorless. The rice and the beans were the best part of the meal.
I won’t return or recommend.

Although the service was very good, the food felt average because it’s just grilled meat. It was good, but not amazing like some other grilled meat restaurants in the area. My wife’s stroganoff was very average, although she enjoyed her fresh pressed orange juice. Even though nothing was inherently bad with this place, we probably won’t go back because the food is average.

I was craving some meat but wasn’t in the mood to shell out lots of $$$$ and then Unilocal came to the rescue ! Traditional Brazilian food you don’t have to spend an arm and a leg for. I ordered the picana and even though I like my meat med well it was still tender and delicious. I accompanied my meat with rice and beans. The rice wasn’t dry and the beans were flavorful. My meal also came with delicious cheese bread. If you don’t want to go somewhere expensive and stuffy then definitely check this place out.

Was blown away by the food and the prices. It hidden in a huge shopping center, not in my favorite side of town. However I will be traveling to visit more often

Horrible food. I had the plate where you can taste all the meats for 12.99. The chicken was hard as a rock! (Not fresh) i also asked for me red meat to be medium rare and it was more rare than medium… My plate was full of blood. My friend paid 9.99 for the picanha plate and it was more FAt then meat (see the pic) the potato salad tasted like frozen vegetables… The only thing that was good was the pineapple i spent almost $ 20 i love brazilean food but this place really dropped the ball. First and last time going there… NOT worth the drive or the $

Good surprise! Fresh food, fast and nice service from the lady taking the order. I had all meats in 1 Dish, plus coxinha de galinha almost super delicious. I’m coming back

The food and manager and staff here are amazing! Such great quality food and service for a very inexpensive price! The meats are cooked to perfection, the sides are always so fresh, and the pan de queso=PERFECTION. I have become a regular of how good it truly is!!!

This place is sooo good. I had the plate with each kind of meat and they were allll food with the rice and potato salad. Great service too. The lady gave us a free sample of their cheese balls. They don’t need any of the other food places in the plaza because it only needs this place. I would definitely keep coming if I lived here

I’m so impressed by this place. For $ 9.99 I got a plate of meat and 2 sides. The food was well cooked and tasty. The service was fantastic as well. I love places rich in culture and that’s what you get here, for a good price. I’m definitely coming here if I’m in the are, even takeout. I have not a single complaint. Everyone should come here at least once.

This is a great place and a great family business. the food is amazing, it’s a small version of a restaurant they own on North Miami beach called Area Code 305 which is amazing. a must try.

Simply amazing!
The customer service was top notch and the place was extremely clean and organized. My fiancée and I arrived a bit early to lunch. The woman who helped us was very kind in taking our order and getting our food to us quickly.
The food is delicious and well priced.
I ordered the tudo ou nada and it was AWESOME. Seasoned well and cooked perfect.
I wish there was a place like this back at home.

This place is AMAZING by Miami standards. We went on a quiet Sunday afternoon. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and exactly what you would imagine a Brazilian rodizio to be except it is entrée style. The price is very, very reasonable.
Go … Just go… Do it… Amazingness…

This restaurant is the best! Delicious food and great service. Very close to my house too.
Also, this is the only restaurant in the area that has delicious churrasco I recommend it! It recently opened also.
