Dunkin’ Donuts

I just had a horrible experience at this place. All the other dunkin donuts stores i’ve visited during my trips to United States have been great. This one was shameful!
I had a 12 hours layover in Miami and since I wasnt bringing any cash with me I decided to get something cheaper for lunch. At the moment I only had my brazilian credit card to pay for the food. I order a medium capuccino and one donut. When i showed the cashier my card (wich back home works with a chip) she told me I should swipe it instead of using the chip. I knew it wouldnt work, but I only went to dunkin donuts because its one of the few places that never gave me any trouble while using this card.
It didnt work. The cashier told me i made some mistake and tried again. As expected it didnt work, AGAIN. So I calmly explained the issue wig the credit card and that it works just fine if they make a manual entry. She said her computer couldnt do it. I said I have been working with credit card systems for years and that every computer as a manual entry in case of the machine fails.
The cashier started being VERY RUDE! Took my card and started trying to deal with it while making negative moves with her head, clearly showing i was bothering her. Then i told her i really didnt have any other way to pay for the food that by this time, was already in front of me. She gave me the card back and walked away without telling me anything. I thought she didnt wanna do anything else for me and steped out of the line feeling very ashamed because the other customers were watching the scene.
She ended up calling a lady which i can only suppose was the manager and this second person already arrived giving me attitude. She asked for my card back so i shortly explained the same thing again. She said i would have to pay in other way, and that not accepting that kind of card was the store policy. Therefore, i wouldnt be able to buy anything overthere. I said i could help with the system, explaining how to enter it manually but she clearly just wanted me to get away. So I did. Ashamed and leaving the food behind.
I have no words to explain how ashamed i felt. Also they were speaking spanish to each other when they didnt want me to hear what they weee saying, which in my opiniin is very ride to customers since all of them had perfect english. Unlucky for them i speak perfect spanish and had no trouble understanding how rude they were.
This is my first Unilocal review and i decided to try it out to express how bad the situation made me feel. This is not the kind of service i expected from dunkin donuts, speacially on my first day back in the States.

It’s a dunkin donuts inside a convenience store. The staff was nice and friendly, but the lines could be long and the donuts were just so so. All in all it did the trick, but was not amazing!

The worst service I ever HAD, this ppl don’t have any respect for customers. Marginal food. Horrible.

Great place to pick up a quick bite, lines can get a bit long but that’s only when the men are on the registers. Not sure what that says about us men, but when there’s women at the front it runs super fast! My 5 star rating is mostly due to the attitude of one employee in particular.
I would like to acknowledge an employee by the name of Samuel Jebessa. His attitude is incredible! In a good way! He’s efficient, professional and ALWAYS smiling. I know that’s not what today’s leaders are made of, but in a perfect world Samuel would definitely be in a management position. Keep up the great work! I hope he moves on to bigger and better things.

You must try the cinnamon swirl. It’s new and its good. By the way, this is one of the best run stores. It has to be. With the multi national clientele confusion could be abundant. The employees are patient and friendly.

If you’re traveling through MIA, this is a great spot to get your cup of joe. Coffee is always fresh and tasty and the staff is friendly.
