According to some reviews on Unilocal, several people like this place. This was my first time there and it was busy. It looked like a lot of regulars come here. However, this restaurant was not for me. The gravy was not extraordinary. The seasoning and taste of the house potatoes tasted like meat. Perhaps some people would like to have the taste of meat to add some flavor or excitement to potatoes, but not me. Even my husband, left the potatoes on his plate… And he never leaves food on his plate. Also, I asked for very crispy bacon and got bacon that was not crispy at all. I mean it was cooked all the way so it’s not like it had fat/chewy parts on it but it was not crispy at all. When I chewed it, it was almost stale. I mean it was still edible but just didn’t taste fresh. Maybe it was over-saturated in oil that maybe was not hot enough. I could have asked the server to reorder them for me but I feel like I shouldn’t have to request that my bacon be fresh. I should receive it right the first time. It’s just bacon. It’s not that hard to cook right.

Service could have been a bit better our waiter was a little old so her memory was off and she got annoyed very fast. She messed up our order and they didn’t make a fresh food they just fixed the already prepared plate. Some items were a bit overpriced. Overall, I wish we could have had a better waiter maybe we would have had a better experience.

THISPLACEISAMAZING, too bad they’re not open until like 4 or 5. I always get the chopped steak with grilled onions, mashed potatoes, corn, and cornbread. One time I tried their churrasco and it was so good. CHECKTHEMOUT!

I was down in West Kendall this Saturday morning and found Chuck Wagon on Unilocal Mobile, and all I have to say is: Dammit Bobby, it ain’t bad! As the name indicates, the theme is definitely Old West with cow horns, old rifles, an American flag and cow fur by the entry sign. Service was pretty pleasant, and I was served quickly. Their menu nominally offered my brunch favorite of eggs benedict. Maybe it’s the first time the dish was being offered; I mean, the egg was poached, the Canadian bacon was thick cut and it was served on a thin biscuit. However, it was missing the hollandaise sauce. It wasn’t bad, but definitely not the full eggs benedict recipe. I glanced around the other tables, and it seems I probably should have ordered a more regular egg dish. I ordered a blueberry waffle for dessert, expecting a waffle with either baked in blueberries or at least blueberries over the top. This was a regular waffle(guessing not made from scratch) with a blueberry compote on the side. The taste was pretty good nonetheless.

Nice breakfast spot on the weekends. They only do breakfast and lunch, so they’re closed later on. In the day. I had the 2 eggs and ham steak and they were better than I’d hoped. The yolk was as runny as I like, and stirred with the home fries makes for a party in your mouth. It gets a little busy, but worth the wait.

Recomendado! PD: Paciencia con el parking!

Love this spot for biscuits and gravy. Coffee is always growing and being topped off. Chocolate chip pancakes are delicious. You can’t beat the amount of food you get for the price.

Today(Sunday) was our first time there and all I can say is we will definitely be back. We were seated right away and The breakfast was great, the service was fast and the price was low. It is a family feel with the employees and has that dive diner look. The only negative thing about my experience was the pretentious woman sitting in front of me complaining because they didn’t have what her daughter wanted. What she was asking for wasn’t even on the menu. Regardless, this place is a hidden gem and myself and my family will be back soon. Great coffee too by the way!

Great food and great prices. My husband had a burger and it’s one of the best burgers he’s ever had. I had the Chuck Wagon slam and it was amazing. We are definitely going back!!!

This place will make you feel like you’re not in Miami and in the western world. The food is great and is at a great price too! Our waitress was so sweet and helpful! Definitely coming back!

I only come here when my husband’s family is visiting. They are all born and raised in Texas and as American as they come. If it was up to me though, I’d never come here. Service is sometimes good and fast but other times just terrible and take forever. As far as food goes, I have yet to find something I love here. Eggs still come out runny after you specifically ask for very, very dry. The gravy is sub par compared to other places. So is the waffle and let’s not even talk about the country potatoes. To make matters worse, the place is pretty old and run down. I literally almost fell off the seat today as I leaned over to feed one of my kids. The booth seat was completely loose! Anyways, yeah. Don’t ask me to come here because quite frankly it’s like pulling teeth for me.

Pretty solid American country breakfast. I had the country fried steak which included biscuits, home fries, and two eggs(which I got poached). The sausage gravy is what stood out — it was excellent. Everything else was fairly standard. One note — the biscuits here are«fluffy» as opposed to «flaky»(I tend to like mine more on the flaky side) and very buttery.

You can find the same«American» breakfast cheaper and bigger at any Cuban Cafeteria. Is interesting to feel as if by just opening the door you have been transported to the mid west. They stick to the theme right down to the mostly Anglo staff. Except for the lady at the cash register(short & black hair), it is a Super friendly staff btw. Other than that the breakfast is just ok.

The biscuits and gravy are BOMB! I needed to be a little heavy handed with the salt for the grits, but food was good and came quick. Wait staff was nice and plentiful.

I have been coming here for years, because it is one of the BEST breakfast places. I haven’t had any other meal here, but they have an extensive menu. This is an old-style, 70s type place. The décor is never updated, it’s very laid-back, and it’s really, really no-frills — very countryish. I wouldn’t exactly call the food«healthy fare», it’s more of a pork chop and mashed potato kinda place! That being said; the servers are excellent, the place is super-clean, and it’s just an all-around friendly place to eat. The cook always does the eggs to perfection, and the big breakfasts come with potatoes, grits, fries, or whatever you want. The prices are very reasonable, almost cheap! Coffee is exemplary. Go for breakfast — it will keep you coming back.

Looking for a great American style breakfast?! Sometimes you want something different than the usual Latin breakfast which is what you mostly find here in Miami. This place is just what you’ve been looking for. Great eggs, hash, toast, grits, bacon, the works! The staff is always friendly and the food is always on point. Coffee flows non-stop and the OJ is always fresh. The décor is looks like its been taken from Oregon Trail. Its a great breakfast experience when you want to indulge on the good stuff with doing any unnecessary traveling.

It’s basic food, not amazing, but not bad either. Wait was a bit longer than I would have liked. And for what we got the price was a bit high, I would say this is one to skip.

This place is so charming and homey! The décor is wonderfully kitschy and even the wait staff is unintentionally adorable! It really did remind me of my grandma’s cooking. Drinks are served in mason jars and the coffee is piping hot and endless — I never got a chance to empty my mug. Our waitress was attentive, the food came out quickly, and was just what we were hoping for. Everything was buttery and warm and comforting. I have to say, the sausage gravy was some of the best I have had! The seasoning is really something. Don’t expect any surprises, no exotic anything here, just really good, really classic fare. Another bonus? 2 meals and 2 drinks and we were right seound $ 20! It’s a great value for sure. I wish we had a little place like this close to home.
