Family owned restaurant. It’s a small place but very cozy. The food was very tasty and the portions is pretty good. The only complaint is the service, it was kind of slow but I will recommend for people that like authentic spicy chinese food.

This is what we ordered, that vegetables with soup not supposed to be like that, I did not know上汤食菜is that soupy, you can cook like that for people who really have no idea what 上汤is, otherwise take it off the menu. Corn was too salty, intestines were fatty, did you change your chef or what, that was an awful meal, you call yourself si chuan cuisine, this is not authentic at all.

OMGSOGOODSOGOOD. My roommate me here because she’s always raving about her favorite dish — fried corn, pumpkin, and salted egg. It’s basically battered and fried corn kernels that are then tosed with salted egg yolk and pumpkin bits. It’s like fried heaven. Anyway, this place is pretty neat because it is run entirely by FIU students who are studying abroad here! They’re all very friendly. It was cool to be served by people you can call your peers. Let’s see, besides that delicious corn dish, we also had chicken in chili oil. That was alright… I felt like it could have had much more flavor given how much chili oil and spices there were. My roommate also ordered for us twice-fried pork! This was my first time having it and it was delicious too! But be wary that the meat can be very salty. We’ve been here once more since the first time. The second time, we ordered a hot and sour beef soup — it was like a premade hotpot with a sour broth, bean sprouts, enokis, beef slices, clear noodles, and chili. I need to try the dumplings next time!

Sooooo good, run, don’t walk. When you see real Asians eating here, it has to be authentic. The menu on the walls are all in what I would guess would be Chinese. The ambiance is almost none existent, but don’t worry about that, you’re there for food.

This food was great. I had the wings, it doesn’t matter which one, because I ate em and felt the soul of the chicken inside of me, warming my belly with goodness. The delivery was quick, and the place is more of a local spot for students, but I see why they like it. Basically you want to know is it basicamente Chinese food, or good Chinese food… Good. Very Good.

One word, authentic. You can tell because the place is often full of Chinese people. The foods are great, the service is … Okay. I wish they have at least one employee who actually speak English fluently. Fear not spanish speaker, there is one employee who speaks spanish there(not English though). That is all I have to say about this. If you like authentic Chinese food, you will love this place.

Wow great place. Has two menus, American and traditional Chinese menus. Loved crab wanton and the potatoes and twice fried beef ribs. Look at Unilocal pictures, would have got more stars but want to see what I order. Also this is a point and order place. The staff is very friendly and always helpful.

Decided to get lunch here today, and ordered online. Got in my car and drove 8 min to pick up. When I got there I was greater by three smiling women at the front counter. Before I could get my name out, one of the women conformed my order and told me to have a seat. Within a minute my order was up and I was out the door and on my way back to work. Of course I couldn’t help myself so I opened my neatly tied bag to look thing’s over as soon as I got in my car. My food looked incredibly fresh. My orange chicken was crispy and sweet… I didn’t pick up much orange flavor, but it was tasty. The two crab Rangoon that come with each lunch order, were there, and I couldn’t believe how crisp and light they were. I ate them so fast! The ham fried rice was nothing to write home about, but not horrible. The portion of rice to meat was great. They also included 4 broccoli florets, I’m guessing for garnish. I also ordered the spring rolls and they were really delicious. I would definitely eat here for lunch again. Next time I want to try the beef noodle soup but I guess I will have to call in for that because it wasn’t listed on the online menu.

If you are looking for an Asian persuasion dinner you came to the right place. Also if you enjoy small family owned restaurants you must add this to your hit list. Although the place is small, it definitely makes up for in hospitality and flavorfull food. The moment you walk into the restaurant you will deffinetly feel like your in China. I was a bit worried that the portions would be small, but when my order of beef noodle soup came out of the kitchen I was grinning so wide i couldnt wait to dig into it. The beef was tender and flavord to perfection, and the noodles were absolutely perfect, holding in the broth while mainting its texture. If your a college student looking for an 8 – 12 $ meal this is the best place to stop. And if your looking dumplings make sure to ask for the vinger sauce it deffinetly complements them.

We had an excellent take-out meal from Chinese Guy. We loved the dishes ordered off the Chinese(as opposed to the American Chinese) menu. I regret that I’m not familiar enough with the dishes(and did not pick them out) to identify them by their correct names. But I’ll describe them as best I can: 1. A dish of a choi with small bits of preserved fish. What a fantastic dish and absolutely full of flavor. This is my number one«must order.» 2. A spicy pork dish. The spiciness here was perfectly balanced: the heat complimented the other flavors without overwhelming them. 3. Tofu cooked with yellow miso. Solid dish, had a nice little fermented kick to it. 4. Lamb which was stir fried with onions, peppers, other vegetables. This was the dish I was least impressed with, but it was still pretty good. Incidentally, this would probably be a good choice for someone looking to branch out to the more authentic offerings at Chinese Guy without being too«risky.»

Been coming here now for some time, so trust me when I say… This is as good as you can get for both american and authentic chinese food in Miami. First, I spotted this place right in the middle of a storm of Hispanic restaurants and shops. Chinese Guy. I walked in and found this place looked like something out of NYC, not sweetwater. It’s small, but uses space efficiently both practically and aesthetically. Low benches, wood panels and anecdotal chinese scrolls make for an authentic feel. On to the food. The first menu, or the usual american chinese grub, offers everything you’re used to. I’ve had a few things out of this menu, so let give you the run down out. General Tso chicken is very good, it has a chewy and crunchy texture along with a semi-sweet zing to it. The fried rice is made-to-order and has generous chunks of protein. Both dumplings and wontons are also made fresh and are great. Best thing though is the honey chicken. This was the go to in my family for years, so I’ve had all types… But this place uses what tastes like a pancake batter to freshly fry the tender chicken cutlets. The batter and honey make this so damn good. Yes, even for american chinese food. Now, after going a few times, the lady that runs this place had a feeling I was a foodie, and gave me the legit authentic chinese menu. After a few suggestions, I went with the double cooked pork belly. That was take-my-money-now delicious. Next time, I tried the chuounqkying(??) Chicken, and put every fried chicken nuggets you’ve ever had to damn shame. Both plates are labeled as spicy, but as long as you follow the custom and eat with white rice, you should be fine. Worse case eat with milk tea. The food is incredible and amazingly offers both american and authentic chinese equally awesome. The place is small and intimate. The lady who runs this place is top 5 best hosts in the city. You should run here. Note: For large groups, call ahead and they can reserve the larger table for up to about 5 – 6 people. Also, their american chinese lunch specials are very affordable.

So far, the BEST chinese food I ate in Miami area. Went inside one sunday at 7 pm, it was full of chinese people, I thought… good sign. If locals go there, there must be a good reason for it! And the reason is food is authentic chinese, not the usual oversauced, greasy and extra fried stuff you eat in other chinese restaurant and chains like Panda express or Pei wei. The place is tiny and only one waitress who doesn´t speak englsh very well, but if you show her the photos in Unilocal she will understand asap and serve you that without doubt :). Note: they don´t have desserts, and most of the food is spicy, I think because they are from Shicuan area. A must for asian food lovers!!!

One of my favorite authentic Sichuan style restaurant. The food and service are always consistent here. The restaurant is tucked away in a plaza off 103rd and flagler street. It is in the same plaza as pollo norte. My favorites are the broiled spicy fish, stir fry gizzards, homemade dumplings, salt and pepper squids. They also have milk tea. You can also ask them for their specials that’s written on the board in Chinese. I definitely recommend this place! Delicious food.

I want to shout from the rooftops to let everyone in South Miami know this place! This is definitely the most authentic North Chinese cuisine I have ever eaten in the States(Never been to Cali, just east coast wise). It is definitely not the kind of «Chinese» food you will get from Panda Express, no General Tso’s Chciekn(vomit), orange chicken(vomit) or things like that. My partner, who is from Midwest growing up only eating in Orange chicken type Chinese restaurant, also loves it! We ordered Northeast China cabbage with pork belly. Oh man that is authentic, the Napa cabbage has been pickled, it tastes very like German pickled cabbage and is very flavorful. We also ordered the pumpkins in egg yellow, another wow to me, really authentic as well. We also ordered cumin lamb, it is also really good and my partner especially loves it. All in all, 100⁄100 for its authenticity! Only issue is that it is a little bit far in the west side of Miami, but I won’t mind traveling for tasty food like this. Do come!

A welcome new addition to the Chinese restaurants in Miami. Owned by a couple who are FIU alumni, its chef(s) come from Sichuan, Tianjin and Canton, according to the waitress(I doubt this tiny place has three chefs, so it could be one chef who’s traveled around… there is no plural in Chinese nouns.) The food they offer is somewhat different from the standard Cantonese fare and the Sichuan food a few blocks down the street. There are Sichuan dishes, like the cold chili chicken, water cooked fish, mala pig ears, twice cooked pork belly and more. I like that they are not as spicy as the ones in Dragon 1. There are also standard Chinese restaurant fare, like kung pao chicken, eggplant with garlic, beef and broccoli, cooked in an authentic manner, as well as some uncommon dishes like pumpkin roasted with salted egg yolk(delish!), and pig trotters stew with soybean. The flavors are on point. As it’s Northern style cooking, the seasoning is bolder and heavier, so the entrees best enjoyed with some rice. They offer some dumplings and noodles too. I find the beef brisket not as tender as I like, but the waitress explains that in Northern cooking the brisket is stewed whole, instead of cubed up first like in Hong Kong style. All in all, honest, good home cooking in a cozy space(no chairs, just benches). Friendly service. My friend said the place has a 50s feel, until the waiter took out a tablet to take our ordering. lol BTW there is no restroom inside the dining area, you have to walk around the building to the back(I suspect the corridor from dining area to restroom is closed off for whatever reason so you have to access from outside).
