Checkers has been one of my favorites for a while… when i lived back in San Diego CA… checkers used to be across the street where i worked… it was awesome… love the french fries and the banana shakes! Here when i fisrt got to Miami… i was in fact only amazrd by the rudeness of the employees. … They rushed you everytime you go through the drive tru… and it is very irritating we can’t even order w/being cut off. … It was a while since me and my husband last went to this specific location… We ordered double spicy chicken sandwiches(4) also a little box w/the pop corn chicken and fries… and also 1 fish sandwish … And as it is usual they told us to park… It is disappointing that they couldn’t even include keychup nor sauces for the pop corn chicken… We got home… and started to eat… and as my husband was eating one of his double chicken sandwiches. … he found a BONE in it… So he didn’t finished the sandwish… Today i was eating my other sandwich i didn’t ate yesterday… and also when i took a bite… i felt i bit into something harder than normal(like a bone) This place has to really make some changes … i can understand that the crew are not responsible for the bones inside the process meat… but at least coach your ppl to have top notch customer service… cause they doin nothing bust scaring customers away… And bout the chicken having bones… or w/e the heck that was… be good if you look closely into that… BESTREGARDS…

The last thing I wanted to eat during my short stay in Miami was Checkers. After a very long day that started at 3 am and unexpectedly spending Easter with cousins and aunts I haven’t seen in 15 years, I was beat. I just wanted a bed. My crew was hungry though. We found a Checkers! Something you don’t see in DFW. I grew up on Checkers so deep down I was excited. The other part of me who doesn’t eat fast food often was like meh. Checker’s has a lot of burgers. You can even get them with 3 patties. They also have chicken and fish sandwiches. Hot dogs now too. I just got a kid’s cheeseburger. It was decent, but I was too tired to eat it. The fries are good, but not as good as I remember. The sweet tea hit the spot. Now I want a Big Buford.

Great service and the food is always fresh. Not much to say; it’s a good Checker’s restaurant. If I had one complaint, it’s that you can’t get down to eat when it’s raining, but that applies to every Checker’s so you should know what to expect. This Checker’s provided lunch for my cousin and I every other day for around 2 months and were always satisfied.

Checkers is a drive thru joint so I personally never expect 5* service. It is what it is with this type of establishment. Nothing simpler than pulling up, ordering, paying and getting your stuff. Their bug Buford burger isn’t bad. I used to love their fries but haven’t had them in a while because they are pretty greasy. And their ice cream waffle cones are yummy.

My experience at this Checkers was mediocre at best. While the person that took my order was pleasant, the delivery of the food was sub-par. I ordered a Big Buford(no lettuce) Combo Medium Size with 2 Apple Pies. The food was given to me in a small bag bursting at the seams. The fries were soggy, the burger was cold, and the cinnamon from the pies had permeated the rest of my food. Here’s some advice for your Checkers, put the food in a larger bag, separate the pies from the food, and for God’s sake, give me more than two napkins! I give this place two stars, and I’m being generous.

Well, I made this business page mainly because I wanted to write this review and add the business since it wasn’t listed. I go here mainly after work on late nights around midnight or 1am to grab a fourth meal or a banana milkshake. Sometimes I come here with friends in the early morning because the only places to sit down and eat is this place or a Colombian fast food place. Anyway… The food is well… Checkers-ish, which is greasy and full of flavor, but that’s not the problem. The employees take priority in the drive-thru because they apparently have«timer» and if you’re at the window, it’s most likely that you’ll be waiting a while. I went at 1:30am about a week ago with two of my friends and I was first to order. I waited for about ten minutes at the window as the cars in the drive thru zoomed by and an employee finally took my order. When he did, he closed the window and started making the burgers when my friends wanted to order as well. They were right behind me… Three cars passed by and I got my food. My friends were able to finally take their order after about 10 minutes of waiting for one burger and a milkshake. We waited for about 30 minutes outside that window waiting for our simple orders as the cars just kept coming and leaving. The employees really don’t give a crap about you at that time and just want to say their chisme. We got nothing after waiting for so long. TAKETHEDRIVE-THRU if you decide to come here late.
