This seemed like a convenient place to go after a long day of shopping at Dolphin Mall, continuing my search for great churrasco. Alas, it is NOT to be found here. An appetizer combo of fried cheese, plantain and sausage was passable comfort food. Sides with the churrasco were mixed veggies and brown rice and beans. Both were MEH. The churrasco here was not a good quality of meat, kind of stringy. It came out undercooked and the accompanying chimichurri sauce was uninspired. The server was difficult to understand, befuddled and inattentive. He took forever to bring the check, which always gives me credit card fraud anxiety. Another waiter working the floor was much more on the ball and asked us a couple of times if we were OK! Three stars only because you get the aforementioned food, along with a beer and a sangria for about $ 53. The portions are filling, but just not great. Charcoal Grill’s nearest competitor appears to be Los Ranchos, which I reviewed recently. They have a MUCH better churrasco. However, if you really want great meats, just walk across the mall courtyard from Charcoals Grill over to Texas de Brazil, one of my five star reviews. With them, the adage«you get what you pay for» holds true

We were out looking for a spot to watch the UFC195 fight and ended up at Dolphin Mall. I was hungry and was looking for some wholesome yummy dinner with rice and beans without a big price and noticed this little spot in the cut. It’s at the center of the pavilion area where the Cheesecake Factory is. We decided to give it a go before we sat down outside at Buffalo Wild Wings to see the fight. They had plenty of seating inside and out of the restaurant and the server was at the door ready to seat us. We decided to sit inside and was pleasantly surprised that they have inside and outside tvs but if your looking to watch a sport this was not the place. They came to us and handed our menus and brought our drinks out quickly they gave us a few minutes to look through the menu. I ordered a rice that is cooked with red beans(Gallo Pinto) and a grilled chicken breast that came with a house salad. It was delicious with lots of flavor the chicken was cooked to perfection not dry at all. My boyfriend had ordered a chicken breast that was breaded with the same rice with red beans and ordered on the side some tostones which is a fried banana. Our server passed several times to fill up our water. The bill was a total of $ 23.00 which was not bad at all for the amount of food we got and quality. The server was quick to bring us the check and had the option to add the 15% gratuity which was an(option). After we were done paying they gave us a two coupons for a second time for a 11% percent discount. Great spot if your hungry and want something quick to eat and wont break the bank. They only thing about this place is the Malls parking space that will take you a while to find a spot and prepare to walk. I would definitely recommend this spot and will come again.

I love churrasco steaks and their Churrasco with Shrimp was excellent for the price. Service was good and their Pio Quinto dessert(a rum cake with pudding) was unique and delicious. My waiter, German, was very attentive and recommended me my dish and dessert which both I loved. For that reason I give it five stars!

Great service and high quality meat. The churrasco is great. Loved the carrot/orange juice. Plantains and fried cheese were wonderful. I love to eat there every time I visit Miami.

Very nice churrasco for a reasonable price. The restaurant is right at one of the entrance of the Dolphin Mall. Good for people watching. It has a large menu. Good for groups and kids. 12÷20÷13

I call this place Churrasco on a Budget. Every time I have eaten here, the food and the service has been great. Located in the Entertainment Atrium of the Dolphin Mall it shares the space with several restaurants and a bar. It gets pretty loud out here, so don’t plan on having any meaningful conversations. The specialties are churrascos and burgers and with good reason. Well seasoned and expertly grilled, the churrasco was moist, juice, and tender. The sides are atypical of any«Nicaraguan» type eatery, gallo pinto(rice and red beans), tajadas(plaintain chips), and queso frito(fried cheese). The hamburgers are cooked to order and served with fries. I prefer the churraco myself… you get a better bang for your buck. Desserts are definitely brought in from the outside, but if you’re not too picky, they do hit the spot. I recommend the tres leches… Be prepared for a wait on the weekends as the mall does get packed. Bön appetit!

Went to Dolphin Mall to see a movie. After the movie we wandered outside to see what restaurants were available. We chose Charcoals and we were pleased with the place. We sat outside on the covered patio as it was a nice night with a light drizzle. We started with a couple Presidente beers and I got the Churassco con Chorizo(steak and sausage). The steak was cooked perfectly and was tender with a nice flavor. The sausage was good, but maybe a tad bit overcooked. I got the house salad and the mixed rice and beans as my sides. The salad was just average and the rice and beans had very little flavor. My friend got some broiled fish with the house salad and fresh veggies. He wasn’t wowed by it, but he was still happy with it. The bill for the two of us ended at $ 47.00, so not bad. They automatically include a 12% tip on the bill, but we brought it up to 20%. The service was very prompt and courteous, but not very warm or attentive. Though, if needed, I’m sure the server would have been readily available. If I am looking for a sit down restaurant the next time I’m at Dolphin Mall I would most likely go again.

I have to say that there are plenty of tables in this restaurant. You have the options of eating inside(AC) or outside. This place is at Dolphin Mall in the area where they have the entertainment stage. That means that when they have a band playing there it could get loud! The food: It was OK. The menu is somewhat confusing because they mix and match many on the entrees. The service: This is why I gave it 3 stars and not 4. The service was below my expectations. It appears the servers share all the tables so it’s hard to establish a rapport.

I went to Dolphin Mall to catch a movie and afterwards decided to get a bite to eat. This place caught my attention for their prices seemed reasonable and the atmosphere was fun/casual. I had a Baby Churrasco cooked medium well and the meat was tender and delicous. My sister, Romina, ordered the Fish with Grilled Shrimp and she loved it as well. Service was ok as the place was quite busy; but the food was exceptional and the prices quite reasonable. Will definitely visit again if I get a chance.

We grabbed a bite before we went shopping at Dolphin Mall and I wanted to show my friends from Europe something. One said lets get a burger LOL… They were very pleased. One had a churasco steak, another fajita and 2 churasco sandwiches. The churasco was grilled correctly and the food arrived hot and fresh. The french fries were just OK. The server was named Ron and did a good job. The tip on the bill is only 12% so add a few points more. Also make sure the carpenter does not start drilling inside the dining area again…

The food and service were awesome. Visited the mall and decided to eat some Latin food, WOW was it good. The music in the courtyard is a bit loud, and having a conversation can be a bit challenging but still had a great time and will go back again soon. The waiter was friendly and quick to attend to our needs.

Came here for lunch and was very surprised at the quality and taste of the food. Although the waiter was not fluent in English, he understood what was being said as most everyone in our party ordered in English. I had the Ropa Vieja with white rice/black beans and sweet plantains. The meat was tender and juicy and was seasoned very well. The plantains were very sweet and I was stoked since plantains are usually hit and miss. The service was adequate but the reason to go is the meal. The dining room is nicely decorated and there is some interesting art on the walls. Everyone in our party was very happy with what they ordered. The portions were pretty big considering it was lunch. I will definitely will stop by again if in the area.
