Botanica Viejo Lazaro

In terms of products, it is clean and well supplied, unlike many other botanicas in Miami. In terms of services, this man thinks he is famous and believes he is Yemaya or Elegua on earth. He is extremely arrogant and condescending.

Worth going. Nelson, on point.

If I could add more star’s I would. This botanica is a 10 in my eye’s and the only botanica I go to. They have everything I need and then some. The owner’s are amazing people with a heart of gold. There isn’t a question too stupid or one they couldn’t answer. I’ve always felt welcomed and comfortable. There store is full of positive vibes and for anyone that doesn’t live in Miami or can’t check out the store themselves they have a great online store with tons of merchandise and they ship very fast. The owner Nelson Hernandez has read my shells many times and has always been on point with his readings that it’s actually scary how much he knows and I will say that he isn’t vague in what he has to say. If it’s the truth you seek then he’s the guy to go to. He will never b. s, sugar coat or tell you something just to tell you something. He is always looking out for your best interest and not his which is very rare to find in Miami or anywhere for that matter. These people have been a life saver for me and my spiritual well being and I am beyond thankful to have such great people in my life. All I can say is if you haven’t checked out this store you need to and I promise you wont be disappointed.

I purchased an item online and it was shipped out the same day. It arrived a few days later. I was in Miami the previous week. Had I known that this botanica existed, I would have went in to check out the selection. Definitely will be one of my stops the next time I’m in Miami.

When ever I go to Miami I always stock up on stuff at my 5 favorite Botanicas. Botanica Viejo Lazaro is one of them!

I went to a botanica for the first time this week. A couple of friends and I stopped by Viejo Lazaro after lunch to peruse the santeria-​related merchandise and perhaps stock up for our supernatural needs.
Viejo Lazaro did not disappoint — there was a wide selection of bizarre items. There were your run-​of-​the-​mill items such as beads and shells, incense, oils/​waters to ward off envy and enemies, various religious idols, and so forth. Then there were the more exotic items… including an assortment of live animals (presumably for sacrifice?) including turtles, snakes, and birds… and their dried counterparts. A pigeon roamed freely around the stockroom — that’s what I call free-​range living!
I left the store with a couple of different kinds of incense (for just $ 1 per package!) and a candy apple red penis-​shaped candle that the woman working at the store told me will help me secure employment. Or get pregnant. I think I’m going for the latter.
