Excellent food, with great service. I recommend the Fondue appetizer at the beginning and also the spicy pepperoni pizza was delicious(my fiancé’s father had it).

I haven’t had anything bad at Blu, but the most incredible thing there, without question, in my opinion is the chick pea soup. It is absolutely one of the best soups I’ve ever had. Love this place!

Lunch yesterday…:) yummy Executive Lunch Special until 4 O’Clock You get a soft drink or american coffee, choice of salad or soup and one out of four entrée choices for $ 15. We decided both to have salad with balsamic dressing, very good. Lunch Entrée: Both decided on Seafood Lasagna– spinach lasagna noodles, calamari, shrimp, salmon, scallops and a mussel on top with a lobster almost like an alla vodka pink sauce. Whew, this dish was so good, very very filling. The combination of all the seafood was such a nice blend together, tasting different delights during each bite. Fresh seafood, sauce was very good. Service always good and attentive. Yep great lunches just like their dinners… You know it’s good when your craving the same dish the next day!

You know what I like about Blu… it can be as laid-back or as extravagant as you want. What comes out of the kitchen is always delicious! Sometimes I want a simple pizza, sometimes a toasted panini, sometimes a savory pasta and they just get it right ALL the time. They currently have a $ 15 Executive Lunch Special which gives you a drink, soup or salad, and an entrée(risotto, pizza, pasta, or fish)…Am I dreaming? There’s a lunch crowd and there’s a dinner crowd. You can eat inside or you can eat outside. You can get a sandwich or a full-blown meal. You’ve got options at Blu. But please do yourself a favor and order the first item on the menu: Gnocchetti con Prosciutto e Fontina(truffle cheese fondue with pizza dough and prosciutto). You will not regret it.

So yummy! I’ve been here twice– first time was with someone who had worked here so everything was great– that was over a year ago. Went back again recently and had a nice time. I wait tables and to be honest– the service left a bit to be desired but I get it– we were three young people who he didn’t expect to spend much or tip well– little did he realize. We started with a meat and cheese app.- the boyfriend had it once before and insisted we get it– it was really nice, just simple :) oh and I love the bread and dip that they give you! For dinner the boys got some paninis– HUGE! and really delicious I got the gnocchi and shared with them. AWESOMEAWESOMEAWESOME! Let me just say I lived in Italy for four months and didn’t have gnocchi as good as this! Hand made, and the sauce was so light and delicate, it was a light cream sauce with pumpkin and pancetta, it didn’t leave you with that sunken stomach feeling gnocchi normally gives you. A bit of a heads up– the owner makes his own liquers, I think he makes about four. We had a coffee and rosemary one, it’s a bit thick and different sounding but oh so delicious and they were on the house! I had a basil one before that was AMAZING but they didn’t have it last time. All in all, great food, great atmosphere, lack of smiles and personality from the waiter but all in all a very enjoyable evening! Oh, and affordable!

Been back to blu a couple of times. Their wood-fired sandwiches are to die for. The blu con carne and blu con prosciutto are my favorites! Check them out for lunch– the service is pretty quick if you’re on a time crunch.

This is a great hi-class pizza restaurant. Equivilent to that of Andiamo’s and CPK in which its pizza, cheese, and stuff put on top of it… not necessarily melted all-together like Casola’s. Prices are typical of that to other pizza joints… avg 12 – 15 a pizza. all with fancy italian dialogue. one drawback is the soda. they charge $ 2.50 for a FRICKINCAN of soda. And you know a CAN is a one shot deal. aka no free refills. a cheap shot that takes this overall 4-star eatery to a much more deserved 2 – 3 star… i’m giving it a 3 to a 3.5 because well… the food as well as the service is pretty good. good for kids and dogs(outside seating)

Blu is a decent restaurant that has a very modern feel to it with exception of the pizza oven in the center of the restaurant. It is a decent choice in the area but if you visit from 5−7pm on the weekdays you get an excellent deal in which the price is based off the time of day. In other words if you buy from their special menu at 5pm the meal is $ 5 if you order at 6pm the meal is $ 6. This makes eating at Blu an excellent deal on your way home from work.

After reading reviews about this place, I decided to go check it out. It wasn’t as crowded as I expected it to be. I love how they decorated the restaurant very nice. The pizza was very good and the sizes are pretty big, we ordered two pizzas for three people and came out satisfied, the pizza is pretty thin though so if you have a big appetite, DON’T SHARE!

We always walk right by it on the way out of Rosa Mexicano but have never tried it. So today, we decided to treat ourselves for lunch and we’re glad we did. We go there in the nick of time, before the lunch rush got under way and had a nice table outside. Luckily, it’s a beautiful chilly afternoon in Miami so that was an added bonus. I decided to try the blú con salsiccia(italian sausage, mozzarella cheese, roasted bell peppers, tomato sauce). It’s basically a sandwich that looks more like a quesadilla, but instead of it being a flour tortilla, it’s actually pizza dough that’s been like toasted with everything stuffed inside. It was heavenly. It also came served with a side of fries that were huge, in my opinion, for fries. My friend has the 4 cheese pizza which is definetly something I would order the next time I go if I am in the mood for pizza. Definitely a jewel of Mary Brickell Village!

We went for dinner on a weeknight. As the weather was fine, the outdoor tables were almost full. We sat inside which was almost empty; perhaps due to this, there were an abundance of waitstaff on hand. The interior is simply but tastefully decorated with wood and stonework walls, and dim lighting. Our waiter was attentive and courteous. The menu is medium sized, with most entrees priced between 13 and 20 dollars. The Burrata pizza was fantastic; it was clear that everything had been made fresh, and we were informed that the Burrata was imported from Italy and was a favorite with Italians stateside. The vitello salt’inbocca, a veal-based dish, was also very tasty. An ice tea was brought with an additional personal-sized carafe so that the customer could refresh one’s own drink at one’s leisure — a nice touch. Although it is by no means a budget priced restaurant, we felt that the food and level of service was a good value for the price.

It is hard to find a restaurant in Miami where the confluence of good service, good prices, and good food will bring you back. Blu manages to accomplish this rare feat. While I have never been to their South Miami location, I have been loyal to this location since it opened up across the street from my building. Today, I was moved to inform the manager why I am so loyal, particularly since other restaurants have opened up at Mary Brickell Village. I have yet to taste anything here that wasn’t absolutely delicious. The service is attentive yet conducive to a relaxed evening of chilling. There are several good bottles of wine at good prices. Today I tried a bottle of their Barbera d’Alba with a cheese plate and was in heaven. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend an evening with perfect weather(until it poured) with good company, a good bottle of wine and four new cheeses that I have never tried before(they change their cheese selection regularly). I also love that the menu contains a reminder that you can take your bottle of wine home with you if you don’t finish it! Good place to enjoy good grub, wine and relax with good company or alone.

went last night and i have to admit, it’s as good as it’s sister blu in south miami. it’s right next door to abokado. they even share the same patio. we were promptly seated and great service the whole night. now i suggest you do blu, the liz way… wine… lots of wine bread… the bread is to die for. skip the paste & ask for some oil & vinegar, then proceed to submerge bread in oil and vinegar plate. then ask for even more bread. beef carpaccio… don’t share this plate. one of the best in miami. eat ever last bite. pizza… get whatever you like. just make sure you ask for soy flour or whole wheat dough. wine… have at least one more glass of wine leftovers… don’t feel bad if you have leftovers. you did eat a bunch of bread. just calmly ask for your check and the pizza to go. and that’s the way i do blu! how do you do blu? do you do blu? i do do blu… wait!

Beginning to end, one of the best restaurant experiences of my life. My fiancé and I decided to try it out as it just opened nearby. We walked in to find a pretty empty restaurant(only one other couple at first then a family towards the end) however, judging by our experience, this is obviously just because it has not been«found» yet. We decided to get a one of each course and split them(perfect amount of food for two people). We had gnocchetti con prusciutto y fontina(a fried pizza dough fondue), a pizza(with lobster bisque, crab meat, and asparagus), and piccoli trio(three mini desserts). In the end, it was one of the best meals of my life by far and I highly recommend it to anyone in the Miami area. The experience itself was great. The waiter was extremely attentive without being annoying. Any waiters without tables slowly paced the floor, ready to serve instead of hiding out in the back. The music playing was something like Frank Sinatra and friend greatest hits(a nice relief from the blaring techno or reggaton played in most restaurants around here). Overall, this is one of the few restaurants in Miami with great food and great service without paying a premium price. I said it before and I’ll say it again, highly highly HIGHLY recommended.
