The location of the Black Square Gallery — one block off the main NW2nd Avenue drag and with it’s black lettering sign — give it the perfect vibe of street art that Wynwood is supposed to represent. It has the staples — the raw concrete floors, the visible ceiling framing and the nooks and crannies too. But the location is the win! I came by tonight for the opening of the«Twenty Eight» exhibit posted on Unilocal and enjoyed the paintings, which appear to be oil paintings with some sort of black wash to give an irony to the scene(also evidenced by their titles in Spanish.) There was also a sarcophagus-looking sculpture, appropriate for it’s location in a corner of the gallery. I look forward to more interesting shows at this location!
