Food consistently good and service is more than acceptable. A good go-to place.

Excelente !

I really have nothing to say that is bad about Barrio Latino. It is a great dining optionif you’re going for Latin cuisine in the Aventura area. The food is the best in the area, and service is really nothing good nor bad. To be honest, the only thing bad is the salt shakers. On probably every salt shaker on the outside patio area, the tops are squished in as if a toddler had a field day there. I don’t like salt, but for all the others who do, sorry for you. I would recommend the Cheese Quesadilla, a simple but powerful item.

I am a regular customer. I come here alot sometimes the service is amazing other times is horrible with rude service. This time was the worst experience ever. Server was super stressful careless about his table he made someone else take our order. The restaurant wasn’t even that busy. The food took super long and gave the wrong order instead of salmon salad just a salad. After waiting so long for just lettuce. We tell the server and he just takes out the ceaser salad. Horriblr management work.

My wife and I went for dinner last night at Barrio Latino, both of us ordered stakes and they where terrible. It was like chewing gum with meet flavor, they were imposible to swallow. Also the prices are not cheap, for 32 dollars a steak I would expect something descent. Avoid this place

As written before, this place is homey and serve quite good food… They did inplement a lunch menu(quite large) that has better pricing… They were getting a little to expensive for the type of rest. All in all, good food, good service for a local nice joint!

A lot of people told me about this place so under suggest I came here with some Friends to eat some sandwich. The restaurant is in a good shape, it’s clean and the ambience is good. Servers are good and made us feel comfortable and did every order right and they were very kind and respectful. You can choose if you wanna seat inside or outside and we did it outside. They have a special lunch menu and you have a lot of choices for your loved stomach to fill it with some good food ;) so I suggest it and in my opinion you won’t regret it. Sad thing is that the plaza where it is located was empty and walking around a lot of Store’s has been closed so even the restaurant wasn’t packed but that’s because I think the location is not one of the best. Eat their amazing hamburger and you will feel like you want another one and that’s not because it isn’t good but because it’s too good.

This is a great family restaurant! I have been visiting this place since it opened 13 years ago. Nestor, Fernando, Mayra, and Karlene are part of the excellent staff. The Churrasco, Tres Carnes, Masas de Cerdo, are excellent main courses. Chorizo, provoleta, salchicha are amazing appetizers. The flan casero and crêpes con dulce de leche great desserts. Homemade sangria tableside is always nice.

Great place, one of our favorites in the neighborhood. It’s the ideal mix between Argentinian grill and Cuban cousin. Parrillada for 2 is really for 3 or 4 and its very tasty. The place is inside of a big plaza with other restaurants and shops l, but this is definitely the best. Prices are good it’s not expensive at all. For desert don’t miss the panqueque with dulce de leche

Went for lunch recently… had the grouper with parsley cream… Perfection. The restaurant is in a great area. Service was spot-on. A bird did steal my bread off the table… I was sitting outside… I’ll let that slide.

Good cuban dishes, and tasty sangria. Though it appears that they recently have redone their menus. They use to have an entrée which featured three of their more popular Cuban dishes. This dish was excellent, unfortunately they have since removed it from their menu. — Definitely try their shredded pork with mojo sauce, black beans, and sweet plantains.- If you are looking for some tasty authentic Cuban dishes, this is a great place to consider. The ambience and service provide a great place for a family dinner or even just a casual night out.

We took takeout but had a drink at the bar. The SigOt liked the Sangria. For the price, we got a TOOOOOON of food. It was hot and delish! I would totally recommend ordering if you don’t feel like cooking and need a break.

+ South American Cuisine + Great for medium to large groups with children + Friendly staff with genuine greetings + Local patrons When the choice is Argentinian or Cuban food it’s the perfect debate. Meat or Meat? I chose the latter. To Eat: Cuban shredded pork was tender, yet crispy. A delightful texture. Sweet plantains were moist, lightly fried with a firmness that was delicious to savor. Then, broccoli,(HA!) was forgettable. I should have chose another option like the varies rice choices or the sweet potato fries. To Drink: Red wine Sangria with a dry Cabernet and fresh cut fruits over ice. It was too dry for my palate, but it was favorite at the table. To Dip: A tangy light gravy mixed with onions. Wow!(Da’bomb). To Dine: Table arrangement options offered both indoor and outdoor seating. Tables were grouped to accommodate 4 – 8 people to communicate that it welcomes large groups. There was also a bar with a large plasma on sports(muted). Excellent!

This place was amazing. If you order the fried fish(Pargo Frito) be aware it’s big. The seasoning is delicious. Even the«chorizo a la parrilla» was very good. You MUSTHAVE the«panqueque con dulce de leche». It is the BEST dessert there comes with ice cream. The attention was very good as well. If you are a meat lover ask for the«tres carnes» you won’t regret it.

I joined a book club through meetup because I love to read and they always meet in restaurants. Tonight’s meeting was here, at one of the members recommendation. And I am glad she did! I arrived a little early with one of the other book club members and we were immediately brought some delicious bread. I ordered the white sangria based on recommendations I read on Unilocal. They were all right! Light and flavorful with a nice zing too it. And after I ate the fruit in the glass, one drink was all I needed. When it was time to order I asked our server his recommendation between the pork with garlic mojo and the pork served with avocado sauce. He was very excited about the avocado sauce so I went with that, with sides of rice and beans and plantains. There were like 10 side items you could choose from, including veggies, yuca, mashed potatoes and more. The dish was very good and the avocado sauce was excellent. But, it was kind of hard to get to the sauce. It was under the pork, versus on top, and then covered in the cooking juices of the meat. My first two bites didn’t actually have it and it wasn’t until my third bite came up with some that I even remembered it was there. The portion size was very generous, especially with the sides. Took home enough for another full meal. And it was only $ 14.

Great great great sangria! Did I say great sangria? Made table side. Fresh and delicious. I think the pitcher was $ 25 and pours about 5 glasses full. The food was good. Large portions. Probably more than enough to split between two people. The empanadas didn’t blow me away but they were good. You know what you should get? The fried plantain chips appetizer was the bomb dot com(yes I said it). The salsa that came with these delicious little Spanish potato chip look alikes was totally drinkable. YUM!

Ordered from this place at least 100 times over the past few years and the food has always been good. My personal favorite is the Chicharron De Pollo(Must add Chimi Churri sauce) white rice, black beans and plantains. 5 Appetizers — toasted Cuban Bread with a garlic butter spread is absolute heaven. Lol. Other good meals are the breaded chicken Breast with same sides, ropa vieja with same sides.

Came here for some good Cuban based off the Unilocal reviews and was not disappointed. Sangria was great– get the pitcher much much better than by the glass, they make it table side. We had the Shrimp Creole(best I ever had) order more rice… Was sad to let even a drop goto waste… and the skirt steak. The side sauce — no idea what it is, made the meal much better. I should have taken a picture before because they are almost licked clean Ordered the Café Cubano and Tres Leche and was amazing. Order both of those you will not be disappointed!
