This past weekend my husband and I went to have dinner here. We’ve never been here before and we’re excited to try something new. When we walked in we were shocked at how packed this restaurant was. Since we were already there we didn’t feel like going anywhere else. The weather was amazing this weekend so we decided to sit outside. There was a live DJ outside, the atmosphere was incredible. People were dancing and having a great time. The wait was 45minutes, which I thought was a little much to sit outside and there were a couple of empty tables. Anyways, we went ahead and waited by the bar. I had a pineapple something martini. If you are a martini person, I HIGHLY suggest that you try this drink. The bartender was quick and super nice. We were seated and our waiter Sam immediately came to us and took our drink order and brought us water. He was very attentive and joyful. He explained the menu to us and offered suggestions since we’ve never been here before. We ordered the onion rings for the appetizer and they were delicious! Even the day after! I ordered a chicken sandwich and the sauce on the chicken was finger lickin good! My husband ordered a burger and he said it was the best he’s had! We highly suggest this restaurant! Delicious food, great service and amazing atmosphere!

Food is tasty, drinks are great. The tostones are very good, along with their coconut shrimp and tuna dish, I can remember the name. Service is great and quick. Will be back for more.

The more and more I go to Bahamas breeze the more I dislike this place. 10 years ago I would go here all the time in the Tampa area and it was such a different experience. Of course back then I went with my high school friends when we went on our road trips and I was not conscious of my surroundings or cared much about what was really in the food. Now I realize how greasy that food is. And I wouldn’t mind the greasiness if it at least tasted great. But is doesn’t. I see this restaurant packed on weekends and at night. With such great atmosphere it always makes me feel like getting off and joining in. Therefore, I’ve come to a conclusion that Bahama Breeze is strictly a good spot for socializing in the middle of Kendall where you can feel like you’re at paradise for a couple of hours. They have life music which is great and 2 happy hours with super cheap prices. Other then that I feel like eating here is just a waste of money that I can spend elsewhere. And the service is not that great at all. I have a huge issue with tables, cups and silverware and the menus being clean. When a menu is filthy that tells you everything about a restaurant. At least to me… The menu yesterday was gross. It had thumb prints with red sauce on some pages and grease stains on the entire menu. I honestly ate because I was hungry and my son was dying to go to Chuck E Cheese. I had a shrimp and mahi bowl. It was the Only thing I found a bit appetizing for me at that moment in the menu. I asked for the entrée without the sauce because I’d new they drench the bowl with it. My fiancé has chicken Alfredo and it did not taste like it’s supposed to at all. The sauce was watered down and tasteless. The chicken Alfredo tasted more like soup. Fiancé and I swore we will never go back.

Sat at the bar and had couple drinks. I had spicy shrimp taco and they were amazing. They have half off appetizers too. Lovely service by the bartenders. I’d come back

Warning to credit card payers– The reason for this review is because my credit card number was stolen at this restaurant. I had multiple online charges to my card the day after I dined here. I would have questioned where my card was stolen from had this not been the only place I had used it.

I started with a chicken tortilla soup. Omg it was amazing. There’s lime in it and lime on the side. I like that it’s not too heavy like most chicken tortilla soups. I also ordered conch fritters, and. Jamaican stuffed plantain. My dad ordered sirloin steak with the $ 2.49 salad to add to the entrée and it was huge.

Have only been here a handful of times but they never dissapoint. I really enjoy their outside seating and the service is always great. My favorite drink is their fresh lemonade. Their ceaser salad is delicious and so is the macaroni and cheese. Parking isn’t the best but luckily they do have valet available.

They must be under staff because to wait 50mins and have at least 15 tables empty is crappy way to start dinner with friends. We went for happy hour which starts from 9pm till close, sounds great… till they tell you they are out of their more popular drinks. Fine we order something else. It took about 20 mins for drinks alone. Add 5 more minutes for appetizers. And they ran out of regular straws. The waiter was kind enough to give each person 2 Sippy straws.

If i could throw a drink in a drink’s face, it would’ve happened here. Being the cocktail floozy that I am, the main reason I came here was to get sloshy on slushies. Yeah… I know what a floozy is. I’m redefining it for 2016. Came for the drinks and ended up coming back for the food. I’ve been here twice and tried the ‘Mojo-marinated pulled pork’($ 7, «Snack») and the ‘Grilled chicken with cilantro-crema’($ 14.29). Both were really good. The grilled chicken was thick and moist, the cilantro sauce on the smashed potatoes added a bit of excitement to an otherwise boring side. The Mojo pork was a late night snack and even though it isn’t meant to be a meal, it is actually kind of filling. Especially when you’re taking it down with 30 cocktails. Some of the pros; *Live music on the patio just about every night. On my first visit there was a guy with a guitar singing reggae renditions of pop and R&B songs which I thought was pretty creative and neat. *They have a great happy hour with half off appetizers and drink specials.(4pm-6pm, Monday-Friday) **They have a late night happy hour. Every restaurants /bars needs this! Don’t forget about their«snacks» menu.(9pm-close, Sunday-Thursday) Some cons; *Cocktails have all tasted great but tend to be light on the liquor. It seems to help if you sit at the bar and lick your lips /wink every time the bartender looks at you though. *Parking can be a mission, especially on weekends. It’s a cool casual restaurant. My star rating is just a reflection of how butthurt I am about not getting tipsy. Assuming that you aren’t an absolute snob or «chain hater» then I’m sure you’ll like this place.

Although this place has nice atmosphere and central location, the service and the food is trash. We were not given any attention by the staff members. They did not even make eye contact with us. They shuffled us around and went on their rush. I ordered the tostones rellenos. They came out as regular tostones topped with chicken cheese and tomato salsa, Nacho style. I found bones and the tostones were not salted. They were soggy. My date ordered the Jerk chicken platter. It looked disgusting! The ¼ cop of yellow rice was dry and shriveled. The sweet plantains didn’t come. Instead he got a tiny glop of dry black beans. I felt lucky I ordered the soggy tostones. I’m never going here again. I don’t know how they have business?!

I really like this place! Eric really likes seafood and I really do not. Bahama breeze is a nice compromise. The food is always delicious. I love the chicken con crema and Eric likes the shrimp. The wait staff is attentive and helpful. They give great food drink recommendations. The patio seating is nice and the outdoor bar area is an added bonus also. We have been a few times and they had live music and it was pretty good. They offer valet parking on the weekend which is convenient because the parking lot can be insane.

I like this place for a few reasons. The patio offers a very nice outdoor seating area, and in the winter months it’s perfect. The frozen drinks are soooo yummy, and the jerk shrimp skillet is AMAZING! If you’re looking for a laid back vibe, this is a tiny piece of that in the hustle & bustle of Kendall. Now for the negative. Though it is named Bahama Breeze, there is not much Bahamian vibes going on at all. More like Cuba Breeze. That’s fine if you want to play Latin music, but then it should not be named Bahama Breeze. Not one island song is played… Kinda disappointing.

As far as chain restaurants go, Bahama Breeze is one of the best. This place offers a deliciously creative twist on the flavors of the Caribbean. All of the appetizers are absolutely to die for but one of my faves is the Tostones with Chicken. Whoever thought of jazzing up tostones like loaded nachos is pure genius! Im stealing that idea for my next Super Bowl Getty! With such an extensive menu, I have yet to have the same item twice but so far I drool over the Jamaican Jerk chicken which is cooked to juicy perfection. Don’t care for that Island heat? No worries, with so much variety, there’s something for everyone. Even the kiddos will be happy. To top it all off, servers are friendly and fun! I’ve been coming here since 2010 and this place never disappoints.

Great place to grab a bite before going to the movies. Service is quick, drinks are always rimmed to the top and food is consistent in taste! I’ve never gone to a different Bahama breeze where the food was presented or tasted different. I love coming here for their happy hour, appetizers and some select drinks are half off. Can’t go wrong with that! Great for friends or being out and about with the family

I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been here quite or a few times or what. Every time I go the service gets a little worse. Food has started to taste bland. I don’t know if they changed ownership. It’s a nice looking place.

I’ve been occasionally eating here since they first opened in Kendall. The service has been hit or miss over the years, but the food has been overall decent. As a disclaimer, this review is going to be more about the value of the happy hour menu. The happy hour time span is fairly early, which is Mon — Fri, 4 to 6PM. They currently offer a great deal on food and drinks. The deal is 2 dollars off single glasses of wine. Draft beer is 2 or 3 dollars(14 or 20oz) and bottles are 3. They also have additional drink deals that are 3 and 4 dollars. My favorite part of their menu has always been the appetizers. During this time, half-off…score! Also, the portion is great for sharing or in my opinion, perfect as a light meal. One of my favorites is the Skillet Simmered Jerk Shrimp. A bit on the spicy side but plenty of shrimp in a wonderful garlic type sauce. This meal is accompanied with a small loaf of Cuban bread. Simply delicious and has never disappointed me. If and when you visit, lower your expectations regarding the service and the happy hour final bill will not disappoint. Side note: Not sure when it started but there is a late night Happy Hour, Sun — Thurs, 9PM to close.

I let my last two disappointing visits a few months ago to this establishment slide without a negative review. I figured the subpar food and unacceptable service was not the standard here and that I just went on a busy night with servers in training. However, on my most recent visit to celebrate a coworker’s achievement, we went on a weeknight and the service and food was, once again, sad. So three strikes… I ordered the«grilled salmon and mixed greens on a tostada» .and it was really sad. There were no avocados(per description of salad) and the tostada was not crispy but a limp, soggy, cold, flour tortilla under the unimpressive salad. So I was nothappy with the food. :(Furthermore, our waters were not filled unless we waved our waiter down and our waiter seemed unprofessional to say the least, telling us something tasted good and later on admitting that he lied and also forgetting to put in my friend’s order, later telling her that he thought she ordered so much food as a joke. What!!! Overall, the only things that are. okay but still mehh are their drinks and coconut shrimp. Otherwise. Skip it, don’t waste your money or time!

I can’t, just can’t stand this particular Bahama Breeze! The food is not even mediocre to me and the bartenders makes the drinks HORRIBLE!!! It’s a slap in the face to my Bahamians! I don’t know why they call it Bahama Breeze. It should be more like Little Havana or Cuba or something. How do you have a place that’s suppose to have an island vibe with a specific name like Bahama and don’t play the music?!

Subpar food, for unreasonable prices, with inattentive service. Very corporate and stuffy with no redeeming qualities. Sorry. xoxo

This is a 2.5 for me. First things first server was very nice, i wish i could remember her name. I still gave her a 20% tip because the way she treated us oh 5⁄5. Nevertheless, the food was less than OK. All the dishes were salty, really salty. And the saltiest was the shrimp with bacon and mashed potatoes, almost inedible. The coconut shrimp after asking for some extra sauce was not as salty as the rest but then it was very greasy. I know it’s a fried dish but I could see the oil dripping all over. The cocktails were light light on the liquor but that was not the worst, we could take them as simple refreshments. At the end of the day, I don’t think I will be going back. I ended up paying about 140(no tip included) for 4 people and i would prefer to pay a little bit more(if necessary) to get better food.
