Aurora Nails

I went here a few months back. I was in the neighborhood, found an hour and a half to myself and decided to get a pedicure. I searched on my iPhone for nearly nail salons and this was the closest one still open. I went in and only the owner was there. The place was very nicely decorated. The owner stayed late for my pedicure. My feet were soft and perfectly painted. (It is a pet peeve of mine when I pay for a pedicure and my feet are not soft and painted evenly. You know how sometimes they leave a little piece on the edge of one nail with NO paint on it — I can’t stand that.)
It was affordably priced. The placed was clean and nicely decorated, very relaxing. The owner, who was also my nail tech, was very professional and courtesy. My nails were fully painted and my feet were left nice and soft. I’m not sure exactly what else you can expect from a pedicure.

I purchased the Groupon deal for the One Shellac and Classic Pedicure, it was not worth it! To begin with I called in for an appointment two days in advance before my arrival I made sure to call in before going because they seem to have not wanted to take my appointment since I called. The receptionist/​manicurist said, that I was not on the schedule, she managed to fit me in. Why did I go there? Dada was the manicurist that did my manicure and pedicure, she did not soak my nails neither did she clean under them.
*** The Essie gel UV machine took 10 minutes to start because they had to play with the wire for it to work.
*** Dada was texting and answering her phone the whole time she was doing my nails.
Not only that her manicure tools are old and out off sharp. She made one of my fat toe nails bleed while removing my dead skin. It did not stop bleeding of how hard she pulled it. I wanted white nail polish on my toes but due to this I had to choose another color. She wasted 12 minutes of my time trying to take pictures of my manicure of the colors I had chosen myself, to add them to her nail gallery.
As the other girl that was working there (Mimi, I think is her name) she was complaining the whole time saying that everyone was getting on her nerves. She was saying that they were overbooked and that she did not have to deal with this because she was not the owner nor the manager to worry about this. One of the sink was clogged and she was very frustrated about this, which I don’t blame her for but she should’ve handled it without cursing in front of me. Although, she did apologize for her frustration.
This business should not qualify for Groupon; it is very unwelcoming.
The owner needs to be on top of her business if she wants it to work and fix her salon equipment.

This place is terrible! The staff is really nice but not very professional. The location has nice décor but is in serious need of some TLC. My mother and I, went there for a mani pedi origianlly purchased on groupon, we both got exactly what we wanted we were delighted however just HOURS later both of our manicures were completely shot. Her manicure was chipped, and my nail polish was completely fallen off. Just goes to show the level of pride they have in their business.
Good service… TERRIBLE products. Even though I received everything at a discounted price, it was NOT worth it. Save your money.
