After a day of shopping at the mall, something I do not enjoy in general, it was time to appease my growling stomach. My sister’s boyfriend and his mother were sitting at the tables by Apropo, having ordered a crêpe, and they told me they enjoyed it and was large enough to share with someone else. I decided to take their suggestion and ordered a Classic French Tuna Baguette. Why not? This place seemed to have a large clientele and it was right there, so why go elsewhere? The first thing I noticed, as someone else mentioned, was the music was a bit too loud, so I had trouble understanding the employee that was putting my order together. I quickly resolved that issue by telling her I wanted everything that the sandwich normally included. I am pretty easy when it comes to condiments and can tolerate anything. I did notice that she didn’t use the Balsamic vinegar dressing that the sandwich called for, but I was not going to be bothered trying to point that out by shouting over the music. Besides, it wasn’t a big deal and I could live with it. The portion size was generous, consisting of two small baguettes, and I was able to share it with my mother, who was also hungry. The sandwich was tasty and filling, and with a fountain drink, it came out to under $ 10.00, which isn’t bad considering the amount of food we got. Sorry, fellow Unilocalers — I was too hungry to take a picture of the sandwich, but take my word that it was good and did the job! Considering that I came here on the 26th(the day after Christmas) when the mall is generally busy, I received quick service and had a good experience.

Mmmhee my experience there was interesting. The mall was so busy and making the line at this spot is somewhat awkward with the crowd passing by. There were three cashiers open at the time and the lines were kind of all over the place. After all that I ordered picked up on the other side where the cooks are preparing right there in front of you, everything looked so free and delicious!!! So they call your name and you HOPE there is a table around. So I spotted a table — guess I got lucky. I’m glad I did get a table because my steak crêpe was messy but so delicious. Fresh and tasty! The crêpe that I ate ran me like 9.75 so two of those a drink and Cuban coffee ended up belong like almost 25 bucks a little pricey but really in actuality your paying for the freshness and quality. So worth trying !!!

Horrible service, they take forever on my order while the employees chit chat with each other and talking to female clients which honestly look like walking rhinos. On top of every thing they messed up my order. Its not hard to enter in the machine 1 crêpe, but I guess thats too hard for simpletons who work there. Never eating there again!

Disappointing — this place was so unorganized, and the quality of the crêpe didn’t merit waiting for 15 minutes for them to figure out how to take our order.

Every time I pass by come to Apropo Crepes & Baguettes I start to crave the dessert crêpe. Specifically the Banana Split crêpe which the employees always seem to avoid adding the whipped cream which is included in the order. Today was no different. When I asked the employee if he could add it, he put an annoyed face and walked away in a huff looking around for it in three different places which means to me that they either don’t stock up regularly, run out quickly, or plain out choose not to bother with ensuring their job is easier for them by staying properly supplied. The employees aren’t the nicest, they can see me standing at the register, make eye contact with me and continue to talk to one another about their personal lives. Thats fine by me as long as your work performance isn’t affected. I tried standing at three different registers and nothing. The girl making the sandwiches for my boyfriend said to go to the crêpe said to have my order taken, after two attempts at different registers, she finishes his sandwich and takes our order and I was finally able to pay and have my order taken. They made my crêpe but let it to cook too long so when they added the ice cream it melted right away. It was seeping through the plastic cone cups they give you, so I asked for a plate. Another thing I noticed was one of the employees grabbing an old strawberry that had chocolate on it and had been sitting there for awhile and add it to my crêpe and then he added a alice of banana that also wasn’t part of the cut up fruit originally placed on the crêpe. The employees need to have much better cleanliness at their place of work, I cant imagine what else they are dropping and adding to people’s orders when no one is looking. This place isn’t all that bad. When the owner is there. Which is sad. You shouldn’t need direct supervision to ensure you as an employee do your job properly. The owner has a good business but his employees are killing it. There are many times I or people I know will avoid going there because they have had a subpar experience. Fix the employees, customer service, and this place would be so much better. I’m probably done with the place which is sad, unless the owner show up, then the place is lively, everyone is alert and the food is made quite well.

It’s a shame that a place with such good crepes hires employees who don’t seem to care about giving good customer service. They are downright rude! I’ve been eating here for many years(because my daughter loves it) and the«men» making the crepes have been rude on many occasions. I guess management doesn’t care if they’re customers aren’t being treated properly.

It’s so confusing going to the counter there. You can order from both sides but can only pay on one side so when you go to pay, someone can be standing there in your way, ordering a crêpe. I went with a friend, ordered a caprese wrap. For some reason, they were out of basil. Also, they drowned the wrap in pesto sauce. It was so soggy that the wrap fell apart and I had to eat the contents with a fork. Needless to say, I wasn’t happy. The wrap tasted good though the lack of basil was a shame and the whole not eating the soaked tortilla thing was pretty disheartening too.

Muy Bueno!!! This place is amazing and offers the best crepes I’ve ever had!!! I ate here ever single morning for two weeks while on a business trip. FYI, you should know a little Spanish because the staff does not know English.

Good food but terrible staff. They were rude and the males were openly making fun of some of their customers. I wrote a complaint to the company with everything that had gone wrong with that one experience I had with them and never got a reply. Male staff hit on me and continued after I made it clear I was not happy with what was going on. Extremely unprofessional male staff!!! Will never go back. Friends of mine have also had bad experiences there.

Apropo has the some absolutely amazing food! I had a crêpe entrée called ‘Veggie Party’! It was stuffed with freshly sautéed vegetables, lightly drizzled in pesto sauce, blanketed with mozzarella cheese and topped with avocado! It was a great experience to watch as my food was being cooked on the grill in front of me! Super enticing and exciting! All of the staff were very kind, friendly, and smiling! Highly recommended for hungry vegetarians while at dolphin mall! Okay, I’m hungry, going to devour this cheesy greatness! Omg yuuuuummmyyy!!!

wasn’t his an arepa stand before? Anyway, i understand why there are negative reviews and i dont think its the food. I would def. speak Spanish when ordering or take someone who does. I never know if i should address someone in spanish only because they are hispanic. Here is what i learned, once you walk into Dolphin Mall you speak Spanish. I made the mistake of ordering in english, so i paid the price. She didn’t hear that i said Greek salad and instead of a peach crêpe my bf ended up with a cheese cake crêpe. I tend to be very lucky and she got my order the veggie crêpe right. My crêpe was delicious. I was obsessed, if only i can figure out how to eat it without looking like a toddler. It was piping hot– and i saw the chefs make it while i sat on the stools provided. They have a large stove top(like the ones at benihana) and they had chopped onions, mushrooms, peppers, and melted mozzarella cheese. I convinced myself this was healthy since it was veggies but i doubt it was. it tasted like it was bad for you. So basically they make the crepes and the filling at the same time– and they fold the crêpe into the shape of a cone and fill it with, in my case the it was veggies and melted cheese and then they put the crêpe inside those tiny paper cone shaped cups(the ones you see in any latin café). Take as many napkins as you can your going to need them. The spanish lady that got her crêpe before i did asked for picante’ aka hot sauce, i love hot sauce so i did the same and it was awesome! once you take your first bite, the mess begins… the juices from the oils and veggies start leaking thru the sides of the crêpe. I suggest you come here with someone you feel 100% comfortable with because you are going to look like a slob!

The crepes are Good but they are not served appropriately and the service is horrible! The employees have«staff meetings» everywhere and ignore the guests not saying anything about them answering their cellphones while getting an order and Making the guest feel very uncomfortable!

Inside of Dolphin mall, is this Crêpe place. I like that it is away from the food court and gives people a healthy option than that Burger King that’s down their, for people to eat while trying to navigate the colossus that is this outlet mall. The people are okay, generally speak Spanish for food orders but there has to be someone in there that speaks English. I just went for a quick pastry that was recently made and very delicious but kind of overpriced($ 2.50) but it was inside the mall so whatever. My friend both got chicekn crepes, one the sweet and sour and the other a teriaki one. They looked pretty delicious but it’s not my first time at the Crêpe rodeo so I tried both. I feel like they could be filled with more food, but I do like the cones they put them in and that tehy have forks available if you don’t want to drop sauce all over yourself while eating. You can try to find a table or a seat at the bar but it does get really full so it’s kind of touch and go with seating. Pretty good, but not great.

I ordered a chicken crêpe… don’t remember which,(first one on the menu)…it was made in heaven!!! the taste, the sauce, the melted cheese… almost as good as sex!!! I ate there the first time back in 2002, then later in 2010(portion was smaller if not mistaken)…now in 2013… they brought the portions up to the original size, I guess many people complained back in 2010… now in 2013, the food was just amazing!!! I can’t describe how good it was… don’t even get me started on the sweet crepes… The nutella, dulce de leche, the banana, strawberries… OMG mouth orgasm!!! both portions will fill up your belly really good, so it’s either the salty crêpe or the sweet crêpe, you won’t be able to eat both!!! you guys have to try this place out!!!

Located inside Dolphin Mall which I frequent because of … I often stop in to Apropo. They have an extensive menu with freshly made crepes sandwiches crepes deserts and salad. My favorite is the Hawiian Crêpe with steak or the Honeymusteard steak. The servings are more than enough to fill this belly! PROBLEM! They use the same cooking spatula for chicken and steak. I have explained this to them everytime I visit. They give me attitude and reluctanly redue my crepes. I don’t do this to be picky, I have allergies to chicken(i know weird) and they often flair up after having the crepes. Educate your cooks and I will give you the 5star rating I want to give.

Take a good location, fairly decent reputation, a good convenient menu at reasonable prices and throw everything down the drain by dramatically reducing food portions, increasing prices, low quality food and just bad, really really bad service — signature of doom — how long can you last? we’ll see…

So was it the time I came to eat? Was it the midday management? Are they cutting costs? I do not know. We stopped by for two sandwiches to go, very excited about the prospect of having them since we really liked this place.(Liked, past tense) First things first, why does the music have to be so loud I have to repeat myself various times? I order the Roast Beef which in my opinion there is no ‘wrong’ when it comes to Roast Beef. Remember this statement later. The sandwich description: Roast beef, cheddar cheese, red onions, roasted peppers and lettuce. OK I figure ‘gourmet’ Roast Beef, not your usual Roast Beef but I loved their Salmon Sandwich so why not… but I did ask for no cheese or lettuce. The guy proceeds to put one slice… ONESLICE of beef, approximately ONEOUNCE or less of beef on the sandwich, adds a bit of onion, and something like 3 small slices of peppers. I am sure he will add more stuff later, positive. I mean really ONE slice? There has to be more than that, or is that what the lettuce was for? As a filler? I ask if they have horseradish… He literally mouths(because we cant talk really) «I don’t know what that is». Oh yea I forgot we aren’t in the States where Roast Beef is usually paired with Horseradish. I tell him if he doesn’t know what it is then they don’t have it. Fine wrap it up I am late. Very late because although there was little to no line they are über slow. Super disorganized and super slow. The cashier mutters something, I can tell its in Spanish but either way I don’t understand her because of the music. I say«excuse me?» She gives me one of those dead behind the eyes looks. I ask AGAIN! I realize she doesn’t understand enough English to tell that I am asking her to repeat herself because I didn’t hear her and she was panicking because she couldn’t communicate in English. Finally I pay, get out and when I went to eat the sandwich I was not surprised to find that it was not good at all. The bread was, but I didn’t want bread with sporadic bites of teeny bits of pepper and onions. I asked for a Roast Beef sandwich. The Roast Beef was NOT good by any means, this was a «they got the Roast Beef WRONG» moment. It tasted like bad prosciutto. Ew My daughters Tuna sandwich was also lacking in everything but lettuce. Its supremely uncool to use the lettuce as a serious filler for a mediocre sandwich. Fail.
