I just started to work at the Red Cross and anyone who wants to do a little bit of help please come and volunteer. We always look for new volunteers! It had been a great experience so far! Everyone is super nice and helpful! From the moment I registeref as a volunteer they took care of me. I went through training and courses and was able to start right aways. They find the perfect spot just for you! Red Cross does so many things it is increadible. From providing food/shelter/clothes/fire canvassing events and more. People here are ready to help 24⁄7 and most of them are just volunteers to! The organisations is lead by great people with a great vision! This particular office is open Monday –friday from 9 – 5. You can always come in or call! There is always someone at the front desk. Also you can get there by car or by bus very easily. The 27 stop right infron of the Red Cross! Because the Red Croos is volunteerbased and doesnt have that much funding any donations are welcome.

If you had to pick an organization that helps so many people and yet is so often overlooked, the American Red Cross is it. Moat don’t realize how important the Red Cross is until they need it. Yes, it is there to comfort those in need after a hurricane or natural disaster, but did you know that helping people after a fire in their home is the Red Cross’ biggest job? Working 24/7, they provide clothing, temporary shelter, meals, counseling, and monetary help for people like you and me — when we least expect it. In addition to that, there is the ongoing effort to educate people in health and safety, first aid, CPR, swimming and HIV/AIDS. And that is just what they do for Miami/Dade and Monroe Counties. The national and international activities are simply amazing. There is always a need for volunteers and contributions. Stop all the talk about giving back to the community and take action. Call the Red Cross now and give some of your time or money.
