Overnighting at MIA at the hotel inside? This place now serves their breakfast while they renovate their restaurant. Unfortunately, they don’t start serving til 6 am and both mornings, I was out of the room around 5 am or so. Still, I arrived back on Super Bowl Sunday and having time to kill, I thought I’d stop by here and kill half an hour watching a game I really don’t care about while having a little drink — it was better than holing up in my tiny hotel room staring at the walls. They had plenty of big screen TVs, service was fast and people were friendly. Just had a diet soda, no biggie.

Had dinner here while staying overnight in the airport, and it was a lot better than expected. I had never been to a margaritaville, but from the front of this one I didn’t look like much in the airport. I didn’t have an alcoholic beverage, but it looked like they had some good margaritas. All the food we had was very good. My favorite thing we had was the shrimp, which had a really good sauce on it, similar to bone fish’s bang bang shrimp. Service was good. We wanted to try the Cuban coffee but unfortunately the machine hadn’t come in yet. Definitely a great place to get a meal in the Miami airport.
