OHMYGOODNESS!!! My daughter and I had brunch. It was delicious. I ordered pancakes with peaches and a side of eggs and sausage. What I received was far more than I expected. A large square plate with 3 huge, thick round pancakes that almost covered the entire plate, covered in just enough warm peaches not to be overwhelming. The sides were 2 fluffy scrambled eggs-soft as I ordered(which most people don’t get right) and 1 large sausage patty. Trust me 1 is all you need. This place is one of the best I’ve tried. My daughter ordered French Toast with a side of eggs, grits and bacon. Needless to say, the French toast was so thick and delicious she couldn’t eat the side dishes. We are definitely going back and I’m taking some friends with us.

It was a step back in time, but I don’t know if all of that was intentional or not. We were in the area so we stopped in to try it. There was one waitress, a couple tables, a random gift shop filled will random miscellany, and a very local feel. We ordered off the menu and experienced a rather long wait for our food. The ham and cheese was chunks of ham, not sliced. The philly cheese steak was average. The fries weren’t great. The prices weren’t too bad, but nothing spectacular. If I’m in the neighborhood and hungry again, I doubt I will return. It was average at best.

I stopped in for breakfast and had one of the worst culinary experiences ever. The service was atrocious. It took forever to get waited on, then when the food arrived it was cold. The coffee tasted like it was hours old. When the food did arrive, the waitress asked if I would like more coffee and I replied yes. I never saw her again. When we were finished eating she never brought the check, so I had to go to the register and have them get the check from the waitress. I will never go back there.

I love the flaky fish sandwich on rye bread. The burgers are delicious and also the soups. A real good neighborhood restaurant.

Immediately walking in the resturant, I felt as if I had walked into the past. I love the vintage early 1940s look(I’m assuming this is the era). It also reminded me of the little mom and pops restaurants I’m use to in the south, so I immediately felt like I was at home. I was greeted by a friendly man who promptly ordered my food. He recommended the hamburger, so I ordered it to go. They seemed to not mind my Starbucks frappuccino that I had ordered prior to ordering my food here, so that was good(although, had I known I was going to eat here ahead of time, I would have ordered a shake from the resturant instead). My to go order was ready within ten minutes. I decided to take a few bites of the food while hot, and the burger was great. I will definitely come back – great food and great service.

Straight from Mayberry, RFD! Aunt Bee must be cooking in the kitchen it’s so good. I am a huge fan of the Friday and Saturday Rib special. Generous sides. My favs are the collard greens and cheese grits w jalepenos. Two or three craft beers on tap was a pleasant surprise also. Great home cooking in a comfortable atmosphere. You have to try the homemade pies.

What a great little place! Great food and milkshakes. Service was prompt and friendly. However it can use renovation. Turning this into a full fledged diner with a smaller gift shop would be the answer since it’s now 75% sale items and 25% tables. If in the area would grab a shake to go!

The shakes are amazing! Love it! Great service. The old fashioned feel makes it great. There’s history here

Had the meatloaf sandwich and it was truly amazing!!! The potato salad was also excellent. This is a truly classic american in a neighborhood that is completely unexpected.

where do I start. this place is not only historic but also it’s honestly a great place to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner. you really can’t go wrong with what you order really. Portions are also huge! Breakfast is where it’s all, pancakes are heaven, hey serve potatoes or hash browns which I love because I like having options. The Philly cheesesteak is loaded, the burgers are served fresh and the fries portions are on point. it’s not a fancy place it is what it is, a hidden little gem in springs and really affordable. The staff is polite and extremely friendly and most importantly the owner is the best. it really feels like home! They do karaōke every Friday nights in which the food is BBQ. The restaurant is central to everything in springs having it be located on in the circle. Tip: if you want in and out service, sit at the bar

Been here several times and the doors are locked despite me being there during business hours. I live nearby and have been wanting to try this place out but to no avail. I guess this is why most people I ask had no idea this place exists despite having lived in the neighborhood for many years. Will continue to try a few more times but I am very close to giving up.

I’ve been driving by this place for a while now and never noticed this was a food joint. The guys and I at work decided to try it out finally. The ambiance is kind of cool, they have that old time diner look(sort of like johnny rockets). I ordered a chicken philly sandwich and was not impressed at all. The french fries were pretty good but not good enough to go back for them. I probably won’t be stopping by again since there’s plenty of other options all around it.

My wife was a little apprehensive about this place. The menu is quite fun but not extensive. The service is awesome. Clean environment and great tasting food. The staff is very attentive and very polite. You come here for what it is, a diner experience. You will not be disappointed with this place if you are looking for that. This was our first time coming, may easily become our new breakfast spot. Who knows maybe lunch?

Cute little diner me and my husband just walked Into because the place we wanted to go to was closed. I’m glad it was! Johnny’s has a chill atmosphere with an oldie kind of feel. The service was great but we waited about 30 minutes for our food but it was well worth the wait. We did order a lot of food! We got chili cheese fries which was delicious, Mac and cheese, chicken Caesar wrap and chicken philly sand which. Everything was perfect and in huge portions. We are definitely coming back with friends!

A pleasant Labor Day brunch was enjoyed at Johnny’s Luncheonette on the circle in Miami Springs. The occasion was for raising funds for«Caring About The Strays», an organization formed by Marta(see pic) who also is the lovely hostess of the«We Can Do It All meet-up group in Miami. The very civic minded restaurant has a donor who would match funds for people who eat there during Aug. and September 2012, who say they want to contribute to that organization. Very nice of Johnny and his wife to encourage that. There are also other flyers on the window advertising other causes they stand behind. The luncheonette is as cute as an be, a throwback to the 50’s with hanging 45 rpm records and Album covers on the walls. The food is standard luncheonette fare prepared with care and the milkshakes, served in real 50’s-like glasses are most yummy. I especially liked the used book/magazine sale area at the back of the store. The book prices are excellent PS. the real phone number is 786−953−5553. The one listed under Johnny;s Luncheonette on Unilocal is actually for the pharmacy up the street.

To find this little luncheonette, first score a valuable parking spot. Look inside the«Old» pharmacy and to the left. What you will find is a cute book end to Cozy Corner down on Westward. A little slice of Americana, with the 50’s Soda Jerk theme. The menu is full of comfort food, burgers and hot dogs. I was quite surprised to find a Chicago dog which was complimented with a root beer. It was perfect for a quick snack during the mid day errand run. The loss of star, is due to the«needs a little more effort» for the menus and furniture. There are a few short cuts that cheapen the atmosphere. A small push in the right direction would make this place fabulous and probably packed. Service was spot on, if a bit overly friendly. A seasoned waiter/waitress has the art of reading people. The dishwasher, maybe not so much. Nice enough, though and not offensive.
