Flavors are more sw Asian and Vietnamese so not my specialty. But it does look well stocked if you’re of that taste.

I like this place and the owners are friendly, but I don’t think the hours posted are correct. This is the second time I have come to this market and it is closed. I arrived at 9:00 am, supposedly opening time, and sat around until 9:20 am. The store is still closed. Can someone please update the hours? Or do the owners just not care to open on time?

The place didn’t look great from the outside, but it is a lot cleaner than Chung Hing market down the street. I visited both stores last Saturday in hopes of finding Thai basil, but neither store had any. Ving An has a big variety of products. There are more Vietnamese items here than other markets.

Most helpful oriental market in the area. They carry all types of products from Indonesian to Korean. This store has the most wide range of products in Miami to date. Coming from L.A. to Miami was quite a culture shock since the asian community is far less than cali, but as far as the main ingredients and veggies, starches, and snacks this store carries it all.

Mabi the owner was really helpful when I asked him about the different brands he offered and the best things to use when cooking. The prices were extremely reasonable as well. I’d rather make the drive here to buy my Asian groceries than pay more for no variety at Publix. The only reason they don’t get 5 stars is because they don’t have a fresh seafood area or roast duck like PK.

I love this shop! They have everything! Of all the Asian shops i’ve been to in miami, this is by far the best. It’s a cramped little store, but has everything. But. be prepared to dig around. The shop keepers either pretend not to speak english, or are just mean and don’t want to help. Needless to say, they have it all. One of my reasons for always visiting this shop is for the yam noodles. Impossible to find anywhere else! And of course having a peek around, there is always something else to find and want. Even found a few indian bits and bobs. Great place, worth a visit! I come here about once a month for my supplies!

Great little Asian market to get your Asian candy fix on. It’s a little cramped and in a sketchy part of town. I didn’t find the proprietors to be too friendly or helpful. I knew the items I needed, got them and got out. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go there but if I’m in that area of town I have no problem popping in to get my prawn cracker fix.

I am ½ Vietnamese and I was glad to see a lot of items that I grew up with. I’m so happy to have a Vietnamese grocery store in my ‘hood. They have my favorite type of banh trang that I’ve only found in one other Asian grocery store but that one is all the way in South Miami. So for that, they get 5 stars.

I’ve shopped here a few times for some cooking ingredients, i.e. sauces(hoisin, black bean, oyster, fish, etc. — which you can really find anywhere), noodles(some fresh wheat noodle, otherwise mostly frozen), dumplings(try the large ones — Korean brand). they focus a bit more on vietnamese, but have everything(see phở ingredients). in terms of prices, a little more on the expensive side, but a fair variety. this place can complement PK Oriental down the road. also it’s good to stop by Laurenzo’s to get your vegetables and fruits, all in one trip.

I’ll preface this review by saying I don’t cook a lot of Asian cuisine. I make an excellent shrimp Pad Thai and that’s why I come to this market.(Rice noodles are non-existent in South Beach supermarkets for some reason). While my knowledge about Asian ingredients is not extensive, I can still tell that this supermarket probably has most of what you need for your recipe. Vinh an is an authentic Asian market. Meaning the packaging(of everything) won’t be in English. This was hard for me the first time I went because I didn’t really know what I was looking for. Who knows what salted preserved radish looks like if you’ve never seen it?! Anyway, don’t be afraid to ask. The staff is very helpful and always seem to know what I’m talking about. The have basic fresh produce: onions, garlic, scallions, chives, and some other specialty veggies. They also carry cookware and other household stuff. When I went today, they had 2 packages of freshly made shrimp spring rolls sitting next to the cashier. I’m guessing they make a few dishes everyday and sell them as small packages. Prices are very reasonable(1 package of rice noodles(1 lb) for about $ 1.75) Parking lot right out front, not to hard to find, only a few blocks away from PK Market.
